It's a good thing that they do have japanese voices. there are naruto fans including myself and a friend of mine prefer the japanese dub over english. But now i don't think that there will be pts characters or some second state characters, unless they hire the japanese voice actors.

yes, i do respect the english voice actors. It's just that when i see an anime in eng dub there's something different about it from the japanese dub. since it was originated in japan it looks like the voices fit better. But there are some anime that i like in eng dub or both.

Like with Rurouni Kenshin? Cuz as amazing as that the english dub of that anime is, watching the setting of the meiji era in Rurouni Kenshin while hearing the Japanese audio felt like it made much more sense.

Though I gotta say, and again not to bash you or anything, I don't understand why fans think a majority of animes automatically sound better in Japanese when many of those same fans speak english as their native tongue.

Well, for me, there are some voices that don't fit well with the character in english. For example, when i play Naruto Revolution 2 for the Wii, Sakura sounds very...annoying. I compares her voice with the GNT 4 sakura, and i think her voice is better in japanese. also, their voices in naruto changed a bit in shippuden to show that they've aged. in english, it's doesn't reall sound like they've aged at all. well, as far as i know.

Well here's what I ultimately don't understand. Whether the english or Japanese audio is better an any anime, isn't anime animation, and more importantly, isn't animation well... an art? The same thing aplies to video games. Whether the audio in whatever language is good or bad, a game is a game.

I mean I probably don't need to hear anything out of Sakura's mouth to know she's annoying (before the timeskip). At least that's what I believe.

yes, the animation is a key point in an anime, but there are those who can't stand voices that are annoying. there are people who have told me that there are people in an english dub that they can't stand. Also, there's the dialogue. When America changes the lins from the japanese animation I find that It lost something from the manga or even the anime translation. yes, i do watch subs, but i also support the official releases by buying a lot of their merchandise.

And about the whole, "translation accuracy," I find that too technical and literal to complain about. As long as the overall dialogue helps explain the plot, I find no problem being more creative with the script, or does creativiity no longer count in being a writer?

that is true, but it is a fact that everyone can not like every single thing. having preferences is human.

not to mention, annoying voices and bad dialogue aren't in just anime. many shows from different regions can have the same "problems" as well.

Like if say I go to a place such as a bookstore where there is a group of anime fans and we talk and I would say I like hearing the english dub of "this" anime, what's the FIRST reply I get?!
