I love Donna Summer, I love Giorgio Moroder, I love Little Louie Vega, but somehow this is the less than the sum of its parts. The original I Feel Love had a hypnotic driving electronic base, but this sounds too funky and swingy. I love Funk and Zapp and Roger, etc. But somehow putting them together loses the driving hypnotic electronic sound. Dont get me wrong, this is a good remix, but the original is the best. And the best I Feel Love remix will always be the Patrick Cowley version.

@DJmixmastermicro I just think MAW were giving her a mix for what was then current in clubs in 95! That was the era of big voiced divas in house. And she was showin she can hang too. If u want to hear a remix closer to the original try Maws 86st mix of this song.

By the way, even though I still love the original version of this song best (and I worked at a disco from 1977-79), always nice to hear a fresh approach to some older music, keeps things interesting and stimulating.

One may disagree with or find hard to accept a certain lifestyle, while still loving the practitioners of that lifestyle and accepting the love that comes from them, when it is given.

By the way, I live in a suburb of Boston, the hometown (Dorchester, to be precise, a student at Jeremiah Burke High School) of Donna Summer.

it was very sad when, some years ago, after her then-fairly-recent conversion to born-again Christianity, Donna Summer made some remarks about the sinfulness of gay men; who were a very large base of her initial audience, that helped to fill her bank accounts through the purchases of her hit disco records.

But, fortunately, Miss Summer realized the error of her hurtful remarks, and, I believe, made a sincere apology.

Sadly, many of Miss Summer's earliest fans are now deceased, also the earliest victims of the AIDS epidemic, before widespread treatment to enable persons to "live with HIV."

The first AIDS victims were unaware of their situation until it was too late, which made their illnesses and passings especially sad.. But there is no excuse for ignorance of HIV today.

Let us hope the younger gay men of today will be more careful, for the sake of their own lives and those of others, as there has been an increase in the cases of HIV infection, and of STDs generally among all, in recent times.

It's beautiful to "feel love," but no reason to become sick and die from it.

Wow. Never knew MAW remade this song... My opinions are that I'm glad they didn't put synths or any of that other stuff in it. It's refreshing to hear an entirely new spin on it, anything slower or synthier would have resembled the original too much!

They are the true artists.

And indeed, this is a great energetic mix, but MAW has much deeper songs than this one, which i personally like more.

what is your idea of mesmerizing? we all have different ideas of what mesmerizing dance music is. and as you do have the right to have your opinion i'm going to exercise my right as well. i think this remix is a very powerful and soulful interpretation and is on par with MAW's brand and style of remixing... sure it might not be mesmerizing for big room dancefloorsm why are you calling it cartoon music though? this is a brilliant track for old-school night, imo!

I was lucky enough to DJ with MAW when they played it for the first time in the UK in April 1995 and trust me, it was like a bomb going off. Came from nowhere with Kenny and Louie on 4 decks. Those who were at Pussy in Pink at the RAW club off Tottenham Court Road will remember an inspirational night even 13 years later. Respect from London to NYC

OMG! Masters at Work truly are "Masters at Work"!! It is very hard to successfully and tastefully re-create a classic like "I Feel Love" but I must say, these guys know how to do it! There is not many old good old skool remixers around but MAW are definitely part of it! A REBORN CLASSIC!
