  • Hi Neil, great videos really helpful.Just wondering how much difference between a match cloth and average club cloth when it comes to screw shots.Cheers

  • is this a match cloth Neil?

  • @jesusfreak1975 .......it is indeed

  • @neilmaxman how do you go about screwing the ball like trump? he really gets himself out of trouble with that power but its controlled too...

  • @neilmaxman you hardly hit this one mate. So its purely down to timing then but i find when i do hit it right i get too much reverberation down the cue and stops me from following through fully. Maybe related to not wanting to miscue. Do you know what i mean?

  • Maybe in the future you could show your cueing arm during the shot, that's what I like to observe

  • Such a great shot, looks like you barely hit it hard at all. Great timing!

  • are you from stoke on trent bud?

  • @ryanbaynes1985 yes ryan i am

  • Love your tutorials, but the sounds is really bad. I know its a big ask, but are you thinking of possibly making these videos again but with a HD digital camera?

Appreciate your videos, just want to see and hear them in all their glory.

    Cheers!

  • I want to screw the ball from a cushion to the other, but with cue ball and object ball in oposite cushion.

so, how can I improve my cue power to be able to do it?

  • I liked that you bought up the subject of weight in cues. I'm predominantly a 9-ball player but played snooker 8 or 9 times now and want to learn more. My highest break is only 50 but hope to improve on that.

On to subject anyway...while weight doesn't make much difference it's true that you need much better technique to use a light cue than to use a heavier cue. I used to believe about acceleration, but as you have truly confirmed in this video, it is total dross.

    Cheers

    Baz

  • @BarryFrench Your highest break is 50 and yu only played 8-9 time wow your fucking sick

  • @xSlaYzZ lol I'm not sure of that but thanks for the compliment. :) I haven't really got anywhere close since. You have to treat snooker pockets with respect and I just fail to know how to adjust from the American sized pockets down to snooker pockets. Plus the way of moving the cueball is completely different and I just fail to adjust properly.

  • @ribhkum very good indeed !!!!!!! well done

  • When I attempt to do this I end up doing a jump ball.

  • i wish i had a table at home to practice lol

  • I really struggle with this shot. I do everything right in my head but never seems to come off for me.

  • youre such a good player but soo boring with all ur chat

  • "we only talkin about ounces, not tones!" haha thats joke! thanks for this clip again neil!

  • thanks, great work

  • your welcome hope it helps

  • hey man i was the one who emailed you.

ya i didnt really make it all that clear about the distance :P

but that was exactly the shot i was on about
