Great review as always!

I didn't like the section between his tail and his lower back area.. I was disappointed with that.. I actually just sold mine recently since I saw the Henkei one and must pick one of those up! :)

Same thing with bumblebee.. The all yellow Henkei one needs to be had! :)

Does your Grimlocks upper body sit a tiny bit off center of it's lower body?

I know what you mean about the tail and lower back. I hate parts-formers... but at least he has the option of leaving the tail connected to the black piece. The Henkei! version is gorgeous though, I wouldnt mind one myself!! I may customize this one, auction it and buy the Henkei one with the profits :P

<--- I had a closer look at Grimlock just now... and whilst it may look like his chest is misaligned I think its a case of his right arm hinge creating the illusion of it being off centre. That... and in my video.. I have his waist turned slightly by the end. So again.. this may make it look as if his chest is misaligned :) My ONLY complaint with the whole mold is the loose hip ball joints... but thats very easily fixed with a coat of varnish. Hope this helped T2rx6!!

yeah I just sold my Classics Grimlock so I could pick up Henkei.. I love the G1 feel of the gold.

It may be the illusion of the right arm hinge, I just really felt with my classics version that in Dino mode he was just slightly off center.  Upon turning it to bot mode he looked normal though..

Either way he's a well done classic. I just wish I knew the Henkei one looked like that! It's ok though, I sold my grimlock for what I paid for him.. so not bad

I think I see what you mean in Dino mode... upon further investigation it would seem the joint in his robot mode waist is purposefully off centre to allow it to end up in the right place in both modes. Perhaps yours was just slightly out? Mine fits very neatly in both modes..

You did quite well there to sell him for what you paid :) Your right though, he is a very well done Classics fig.. one of my favourates from Classics 1.0... which is a tough call to make as there all pretty damn cool!! :P

Well!

I got my Henkei grimlock finally.

Now my classics grimlock had come from an online source and was loose.. Turns out, I never knew how to transform him correctly.. No wonder he looked disjointed in dino mode...

Now that I've got a real set of instructions.. superb!!

Ahhhh.. lol. I dont think I've ever gotten a TF with no instructions :s ...then again I dont tend to buy stuff loose if I can help it.. dont ask me why.. lol.

Congrats on picking up Henkei Grimlock! ...my regular Classics version is quite jealous :P
