  • this is my opinion but i recon its our faults we all bought call of duty 4 coz of the multiplayer and bought it like cupcakes but now they just repeat it

  • If pricing on video games was done according to the development price of the game then hopefully we would only have to pay top whack for triple A titles.

  • true

  • cod is dead the severs are shit the company is shit. the best cod was 4 or mw2. everyone should just jump on a new game made by thq or ea they care about there gamer. only like cod haha. sell come and buy a gd game like bulletstorm or homefront. bring one battlefield 3 and gd sever it will make a change for shit that cod comes up with

  • i think if more IPs came out at once the prices might go down because now the other games have more compition.

  • I agree with you on everything but i think the reason why the industry wont lower the prices of games is because companies dont want to risk it. They are already taking a gamble with publishing a new IP that no one has seen before. So on the off chance that the game is super successful, they will lose millions if they charged it full price ($60). Take minecraft for example It is a low quality and low budget indie game, but it has sold millions while still in beta. might as well charge same price

  • is there alot of hackers in PC version? more than MW2 or less?

  • It's a consumer side issue. Why should businesses change? There is no incentive to trying a high budget new idea. However, Xbox Arcade and Ipod/Ipad/Android apps are allowing small, innovative companies to put out new IPs every day, at a relatively low cost. Games like Monday Night Combat, Super Meat boy, and Geometry Wars have done great.

However, the revenue still is driven by the major titles. COD has created a monster.

  • Hey TetraNinja, I was in a game with you the other day :) my GT is Blunschmack and that quad grenade that I got with you in my game is on my channel :)

  • This was extremely well done. I kept thinking about the economic principles that govern price. I'm not sure how the global recession affected consumer spending in Canada, but most Americans underwent major cut-backs on extraneous spending. I think reiterations are simply prudent planning from developers (As if they need more money). Gamers looking for variety are going to have to wait a little longer before developers are willing to invest in new/unproven titles. When in doubt, go Retro!

  • i use gamefly to avoid buying a shitty game... i usually only buy a GTA or COD and Madden games and if i want to play a game i gamefly it

  • you should try vanquish if that was not stated in all of these posts.

  • I think the industry is fucked up i beleive that the future of gaming are all the indie games on the Psn or microsoft store or wat ever its called

  • @Afrosamuri24 i wouldn't say its screwed, but rather its just very stagnant right now.

  • Tetra, check out Bulletstorm. I think it's something really new and bright. I love Epic (Gears of War, Unreal Tournament) and their hilariously violent games.

  • @Seahaaaaawks so many games to buy....

  • i think you have the right idea but what about up and coming games looking to gather a following they mite have a great game but if they are categorised then they mite not have the chance that halo and such had when they first came out

  • @JOEtheSXC1 im saying with more variety = more ideas. im not saying just "bad" games should be cheaper. but rather unfounded or new games should be cheaper when they first hit the market.

  • Oh, I can assure you that I have heard over 20 days of some songs

  • L.A Noire.

  • I'm looking into Bulletstorm because it's something i never seen b4 and it looks fun from all the trailers of it.

  • If you look at the other end of the market, XBLA titles do well at 800-1200 M$ points. 2 titles in particular that I was excited about this year, were Afterburner Climax and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. I might even get the Alien Breed trilogy too, but I'm unsure at this stage while blops is taking up all of my time on the XBOX.

  • @chicaboo76 my points exactly ppl are more willing to experiment when they dont have to pay fill price

  • I found this commentary very ineresting.

  • $2 is too much to pay 4 a bad videogame. U cant tier pricing cos its like telling ppl that its a bad videogame. The innovation; like the movie world falls to the developers, individuals with a vision like tarantino and scorsese. People like Hideo Kojima need to be pitchin and making fresh game concepts. The publishers need to be putting their faith in the passion of the ppl delvelopin the games and finding those ppl. I would love to see ppl like you developin ideas and concepts for games.

  • @Aldo182 im not saying that all bad games would be cheaper, but more variety would mean more ideas and new franchises. Eventually those smaller games would lead to new franchises.

  • @tetraninja I do see your point, however, from a consumer point of view it would appear as if the cheap games were bad ones; With the exception of fanatic videogamers such as yourself of course. But there wouldn't be very much money to be made from just fanatics and there's the problem; unless there is money to be made their ain't no game. In order to put the money in the investor needs to know its going to make money there aren't too many ppl willing to risk millions on a roll of the dice.

  • My friend told me that you can call in a sam turret and change it into something else instead of using a care package because the sam turret is 1 less kill. I haven't tried it myself since I don't have hardline pro, but I just thought I'd share that idea.

  • @Tedsta101 they patched that, you can only hardline pro care packages now.

  • I liked Mirrors Edge, but no one else did lol :)

  • You really can't blame the producers when they are fueled by the consumers. If it weren't for the fact that people are much more willing to buy a new Call of Duty game than a lesser known and original game, then there would be a plethora of creative games made every year. This is a business, and in order to stay afloat companies have to make what people will buy and that is sadly what they are doing. In order to actually bring about change we need to stop buying rehashed games, not accusing them

  • @gmunny17 i never accused iterations of being a bad thing. Im saying that they shouldnt be the only thing. I like my franchises just as anyone else. But from what I hear about developers they want to expand of their ideas, but are confined by their publishers. Why do u think Bungie left M$?. They didnt wanted to just be the Halo guys.

  • some good gameplay again. and i think tht dudes right about the 30 dollars or however much for a lesser quality game or shorter or w/e the case may be i know if they werent all 60 dollars id buy games a lot more often. this way if i didnt know much about it but i thought it might look kind of kool i would prolly be more willing to take a chance. also 60 dollars at a time is a big ass chunk of money to be spending all at once. but i enjoyed th ecommentary thanks.

  • gran turismo aint from rockstar games?

  • @michaelin0s - Can you not READ he wrote that he meant to say GRAND THEFT AUTO.

  • good video.. this is exactly what i have been feeling for the past year or so.. and you feel that for example if a new high promising racing game comes out at the same time a new need for speed will be released and everybody will buy the NFS only because its a sure thing rather than test the other racer. :P

  • did xrags die?

  • @crcumsizedPANDA naw just life is keeping him busy. he hasn't even been on XBL

  • Dax and Jaxter lol

  • There are some pretty good new IPs out there but they just don't sell well enough to constitute making a follow-up or well enough for us to hear about it.

A game like this would be Psychonauts. The game is fantastic but it just didn't sell well for whatever reason.

  • @Milerliteweight thats what im saying though, it probably would have sold better at 30, rather than the full 60

  • @tetraninja I don't think it was a question of price that was stopping people from buying it, I think it was simply the level of exposure. The well recognized, "AAA" titles place a shadow effect on the smaller games (games that are much more original and quite fun to play).

It's a nasty snowball effect like you said.

  • im sorry to say, what you said about the economics of the gaming industry was a complete contradiction and simply would not work

  • @hallucigenix explain plox

  • Do you kno anything abuot mw3?

  • I feel like you plan out your commentaries incredibly well, this was very well worded. Good work!

  • it's true that i only buy like 4 or 5 games a year so i do look for the games i know i'll like but i'm also on the looout for new games. I have my eyes set on Xcom and Portal 2 for this year (there are a good 30 or other games that i would aslo like but i wouldn't really have the time to enjoy them so i think it would be a waste)

  • Tear with Death Machine? Lol you got 1 kill with it.. :(

  • @eekan00b sarcasm fail..sorry

  • 23 old

    nice video

  • that dude was 1-35 O_O

  • I cant wait for brink

  • Lol, I thought you weren't allowed to post video's of machina itself on your own channel? xD

  • I made your penis grow.

  • im looking forward to the new game BRINK

  • one of the very best commentators on youtube...perfect video quality, very literate, well spoken and overall just a very enjoyable guy to listen to. and you're asian = win. <3

  • You're completely right.

  • lol the dax and jaxter series huh? never heard of that game

anyways im lookin forward to the next cod (love black ops but i guess in october or so i want something new) and HOPEFULLY and new assassins creed

  • hey ninja. thats an amazing commentary. I think its cool now bungie have decided to move on from halo and begin on a new game or even trilogy.

  • Prototype 2 and Max Payne 3!

  • actually some games are twenty dollars but they are all bad

  • they should make a universal rating and the price goes by the rating

  • Hi guys! I live in Finland, and I´d like to know the game prices in other countries. Here in Finland, games like B Ops and AC:Brotherhood cost 69.90€. Just about every new game costs that much. I really would like to see some changes in game prices : P I can afford maybe two-to-tree games per year so it´s really hard to decide what games you buy if you can´t get them all : P

  • i agree with everything you said... but at the same time dice, creator of battlefield series is coming out with their new engine for battlefield 3 which is frostbite 3.0

  • How do I download your tab?

  • "I go on a little rampage here with the death machine, usualy I choke up" ..He gets one kill with it LOL ... <3 u Tetra :D

  • Tier=1kill? :p

  • @Failednoob123 Lol yeah I was thinking the same thing. Tetra is awesome though so he can get away with it.

  • it's Jak and Daxter, not Dax and Jaster lol, btw I loved every single one of them :)

good video man :), I hope game producers see this and star thinking of giving a chance to new ideas

  • Games in general were were of a higher quality years ago playability wise. There are still great games but many disappoint and its getting harder and harder for developers to be original.

  • jax and axter im guessing you mean jack and dexter (unless there is a spoof of it or something, also how can you not be excited for bullet storm ? or brink ?

  • also i hate when you want to trade in games they give you shitty prices for it, i bet if you went in and brought black ops, took of the plastic in front of them and traded it in without even opening it you would get £5 back

  • I am only 15 so I am not as hardcore as you guys yet but I am a huge fan of games and when I'm a bit older I am hoping to be in machinima and do what you guys do :) (I hope)

  • Taylor swift's music last me forever.

Games i can't wait for: Little big planet 2, LA noire, and true crime hong kong.

  • Steam will save us (us pc users) I fell sorry for the console users.

  • @POLO2941 STEAM is the way forward!

  • @reylluvia i doubt that lol i know infiinity ward probably wont make it due to their problems with Activision. I was really hoping they would've done mw3

  • great points i really see were u coming from

  • Btw It's Jak and Daxter lol.

  • Im a bit excited for Operation:Homefront :D

  • Ur 23 and that's old!? WTF does it mean that I'm 27 and play games nonstop lol

  • @dradney older in comparison to demographic of the majority of this community ;)

  • @tetraninja ive been told that the average gamer is about 32

  • @tetraninja nah some of the bigger commentators are your age or older, Hutch, Seananners, Woody, pretty sure Wings is older

  • @Draven2626 i meant ppl who watch the videos, not who make them ;)

  • @dradney you missed the game BULLETSTORM :)

  • @dradney well u r already dead :D

  • Not excited for last guardian??

  • @csaiyan16 OMG forgot about that one. OK fine gg
