  • Don't try to compensate so much for your error. Fire at the same point, and then walk the groups in.

  • LISTEN ITS YOUR AMMO . THAT TYPE OF FEDERAL AMMO YOUR USEING IS VERY CHEAP MADE IT WILL NOT EVEN SHOT IN A SEMI AUTO LIKE MY BROWNING BAR OR MY REMINGTON 7400. THE AMMOS BRASS IS CHEAP AS HELL IT WILL LITERARY SWELL UP AND THE CASEIN WELL GET STUCK ON THE INSIDE OF THE BARREL THEN YOU HAVE TO KNOCK IT OUT WITH YOUR CLEANING IRON. THEY DO MAKE A GOOD FEDERAL ROUND ITS CALL THE FEDERAL PREMIUM. THAT IS A GOOD ROUND. WINCHESTER IS MY CHOSES OF AMMO.

  • maybe the scope rings are a bit loose. check them.

  • nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnigga

  • sounds like it is a little windy there.....

  • What scope and bipod do you have? Have you done anything else from the factory setup? I was thinking of buying a Howa in .308 set up as a sniper type rifle

  • hay if your buying ammo and not had loading, if i were you i would go at a get some real go ammo like hornady. thats all i shoot for rifle. just a thought there the best factory ammo i now of.

  • jus fire 1 shot adjust ur scope shoot again - repeat

  • Try a lot of different ammo. Each gun is ammo specific, even two consecutive serial numbers of the same make and model. Generally, match ammo will be needed for match results, but you still need to try different match ammo to see which your Howa likes the best.

The real solution to the ammo issue is reloading, so you can fine tune your ammo to your rifle, but you can often achieve consistent sub MOA results with a quality bolt action rifle if you're willing to experiment with different ammo.

  • Gusting winds could account for some of the horizontal stringing, but some of it could also be a slight torque on the stock as the trigger is squeezed, or parallax error. When you change from 100 to 200 yards, you need to readjust the scope for parallax. Some of the scopes aren't calibrated correctly for parallax at a distance. Put the rifle on a steady mount where it isn't moving and adjust the parallax until moving your head doesn't change the point of aim. Consistent cheek weld is critical.

  • I'm kind of new to rifles. I have the factory barrel that came with the 1500. It is heavy, but not as thick as Ive seen on other rifles.

I've gotten a lot better. I can consistently hit a quarter from 200yrds now. And yes, I'm using a bi-pod.

  • ive been watching the other vids u posted trying to see how i could help from the sound of this vid i think it was just the wind factor but i had a question for you do u have a heavy barrel on ur gun ie. a bull barrel
