For nearly 2 hours I tried to clean it with dish liquid, glass cleaner, cleaning solvent, water, and paper towels. But after drying, the mouse still didn't work.

I couldn't believe, that this trick with the paper works, but I gave it a try.

I actually had some pretty annoying scrolling problems with my almost new Mighty Mouse. I could scroll anywhere but down, and my experiance told me that its strange if it just doesnt work to scroll down. Therefor I didnt believe in dirt under the ball.

But then I saw this. It seemed as a quite "stupid" solution, and I did not believe it to work. But I had to try. What could I loose on it? And it worked. So now I will go for this solution in the future! Thank you very much!

WOW!! I was just going to go out and buy another mouse until I went on Google and found this YOUTUBE video for fixing the stuck scroll button the Apple mouse.

SWEEEEET!! It worked immediately and save me some money. The other videos are too complicated and you have to de-construct the mouse and use glue to put it back together. Bummer. His technique to cleam is QUICK AND EASY!! LOVE IT!!

If your mouse is too dirty and that doesn't work I have always had success by cleaning the ball with Cyber Clean. These days I clean the mouse whenever I clean the keyboard - works a treat.

Niiiice!!! Actually I could get more dirt out by first moisting a cloth and doing this with it. At the end, the paper sheet acts like a "dry towel", which will end up with many tiny pieces of dead skin and dirt.
