  • Fantastic! Im going to have to go and listen to all the rest of your 'Growing up in the 80s' vids now!

  • audioripit daht cahm.

  • The intro to "would I lie to you" sounds sooooooo 80's. Love it.

  • You can convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at audiogetnow..com

  • major kudos for having ENUFF Z NUFF,faith no more, fabulous thunderbirds, the cult and naughty girls need love too!

  • Great video.

Really enjoyed the Christine McVie song.

It is funny you don't have that one Samantha Fox song called "I wanna have song fun". (maybe it wasn't a single?) I used to sing it with some filthy lyrics about 20+ years ago. It was an easy one to make up lyrics to.

  • Another great one. Games without frontiers is my sheeeeeeet.

  • I never knew the full version of Falco's Rock Me Amadeus existed!! I can't believe how much better it is than the radio edit version!

  • Man, I think "Little Lies" is the first song I remember hearing when I was 2 years old. It was playing in the background in the back while I was about to take a nap. Great stuff... A-A-Amadaous!

  • Man, you must have a lot of Stevie Nicks. Good vid.

  • Groovy Train (strictly speaking) is a 90s tune Funk...

  • I know...DAMN! Fell asleep for a minute.

  • I have all together now in a ton of "hot dance mix" discs, but I loved Groovy Train, and didn't have a copy of it until I bought Spartacus. Still a killer track though.

  • @funktuall Just acquired ALL TOGETHER NOW!!!

  • Lots of memories, great!

About Falco, he's a real legend in Austria. 'Der Komissar' was somehow Falco's interpretation of hip hop and rap he witnessed in New York at that time. So the record can be seen as one of the first popular rap records in the German language. Other than that, real German rappers started using their mother language years later around 90.

  • Yes Falco is real genius singer and composer, he's very innovative - that's true, son of Austria, without a doubt greatest of new times, like Mozart - of old

  • all together now eh? will keep an eye out...

  • 'The old man live down the road!!!!!'

    Love that intro

Love Flock of Seagulls and Foreigner

    Samantha Fox w/Full Force!

Love Shock the Monkey...and Sledge Hammer and Big Time.

    Almost forgot.....In Your Eyes.

  • Rock me Amadaous! Hell yes! Right around the time of the movie which I will still watch every time it comes on... Prince did the Keyboards on that track too. At least I heard that a long time ago. Flesh for Lulu! They had one of my favorite albums of all time "Plastic Fantastic" Those guys were amazingly under rated! Shock the Monkey! Fairlite... The first (at least one of the first)Digital sampler again. Carlos Pizza Bazarre... Long story...

  • WORD. They should make the entire ice outta that sweet glazy goodness!

  • Another great vid!

    FYI:

Groovy Train -The Farm is from 1991.

Holiday Road - Lindsey Buckinghamwas released on Warner 29570 in 1983, only got to # 82 [should of been a bigger hit!].

What no poster sleeve for sam fox's Touch Me?

  • Actually, I used to have that on my wall. Who knows how many records have come and gone through the years. I used to have this sick A View To A Kill James Bond 007 White Vinyl gatefold that was ill. I didn't even like the band then but the artwork was unreal.

  • @burtiscurtis09 True, the 45 for "Holiday Road" is quite hard to come by because of it's low sales and inexplicably poor chart showing. It really should have been a bigger hit. Luckily I was able to find a couple of copies of the single. The US Warner Bros 45 and the Dutch pressing which was released on Mercury Records.

  • @burtiscurtis09 But I've seen some 1978 and 1979 songs on the other end of the spectra. The last two years of a decade and the first two years of the next are always some "transition zones" between the two.

  • More Eighties Goodness... thanks again...

  • Eurythimics had hits

  • Annie Lennox and Al Greene man that was the bomb....Falco Vienna Calling.....The Fixx one thing leads to another was the jam........Stevie Nicks....Stand back was it written by Prince? I know he wrote a song 4 her.Naughty Girls(Samantha Fox) produce by FullForce......Shock the Monkey was a tight song loved the the ending... Man Peter and Phil were some wierd song writing dudes....Man the made some great songs with Genisis
