This is an amazing remake and his voice is remarkable. However this doesn't even come close to the original Lennon version. His voice had such passion in it and the lyrics such meaning. They could not have replicated the initial feeling simply because they did not write it. Not to mention the original instrumentals were just fantastic. To get an idea of what i'm referring to, listen to the alternate studio takes from the original recording.

Good movie, only drawback is that it's a musical and I don't like musicals, but I love the Beatles so I loved this movie. It's become a favorite of mine despite being a musical, I like the newer versions of the songs and the story was well done because it was formed around the songs. A+++ IMO.

I am a huge Beatles' fan too but yet I thought the movie sucked and the remakes were the same songs just stripped of their good qualities. And I also thought the story line was terrible and too jumpy. And the actors were mediocre at best, they could have gotten better people. or at least people worthy enough to do Beatles' songs, because all they did was butcher them. Bono can't even get the lyrics right. God he is terrible
