I bought one of these to take hunting. On our property, there's some steep hills to climb before hunting.

1) It's very quiet.

2) It's not too big. I drive with a rifle strapped to my chest and can just stand up whenever I want.

3) It's much faster/smoother than a jeep or ATV. I can cruise the bumpy ridges in more comfort.

4) I'm not experienced and it is easy for me to control. I've dumped a few times and it's much easier than on a 250. (100 lbs less).

5) Cost me $900 less vs Honda 150.

The 140L is nice and has good power but the front shocks are no good if you want to jump it and the decals suckkk after the first wash they got ripped off. other wise its good and has a really smooth clutch

actually the KLX140 is really a 145cc, and so are other bikes like the crf150f is really only a 145cc crf, so technically the KLX140 is really a KLX150, but kawi decided to name it a 140 instead. almost all 150ccs are 145s, except for the crf150R, i dont know about that, that one might be a 151cc.

Most likely..there is the KLX140 and the KLX140L. The KLX140L is a little bigger than the just the 140..they can easily be adjusted too soo they are great for several types of riders. In my opinion im sure it would be a great bike for you.
