@NaxTactical It is to replicate what some real operators do. The paracord (on a real rifle) is there to hold the unit securely in place, encase it ever gets loose from recoil or gets bumped around to much. In my case, it is simply there for cosmetics.
@IVlessi Specifically it is the Classic Army X Series M4 (the most basic AR version from CA you can get). It then was transformed to rear wired and I added a rail system/everything else. Internally it had nothing stock, replaced everything with new parts.
Personally don't like the A Neg, never seen it on a real steel MK18. AN/PEQ-2 would be the right choice for the old school MK18. Other than that it's pretty freaking amazing! Awesome paintjob.
@Kretenizma I agree with all of this. I did the A-NEG on a whim and regretted it ever since. However, I'm to lazy to repaint it and wear it again :). I had originally planned to get a PEQ-2, however, I wanted a functioning replica PEQ and didn't want to shell out cash for the G&P one. I call this my block 1.5 :).

why did you put so much pointless stuff on there. a simple acog red dot and hand guard would be fine. i dont see why people trick out their m4's just to look cool, because its kind of a waste of money in my opinion(mock silencers, flashlights, etc.)
@TheAlbinoblackperson I like to play airsoft for the realism you can find/act out in it. While yes, a red dot and fore grip would be perfectly acceptable for normal airsoft play, I tend to find that its dull and boring. Hence why I tend to go the more expensive route for that "cool guy" look if you will lol. And believe it or not, everything on their (minus the mock suppressor) has a purpose. I play CQB often and the light is used to blind the opponent and the laser is used as an aid to aiming.

@TheAlbinoblackperson flashlight traces your bbs in indoor fields or at night. You're not going to walk around blindly in the dark. Most people have mock silencer to cover up a long inner barrel. PLUS why wouldn't you want a tricked out M4.

@SeanofZeus There are indeed to flashlights. The PEQ has a small light (not bright enough for practicality, its a replica), and the Surefire M951 replica.

I am one of the hugest, most biggest military buffs around and I have been playing airsoft for seven years now and I have to say................ you did a damn near perfect job on this rifle I have never seen a rifle that looks as realistic as this one! @Cravona Very awesome. How did you give it that ripple effect? Did you paint it and then take like a napkin or paper towel and wipe on it to give it that wearing off look?
@WOLF191223 The effect was made by a base coat of Tan, light dusting of brown, and then a foam sandpaper block was used for the wear look. Where it looks like the tan fades into brown or vice versa, I very gently sanded/rubbed with finger, the brown down to the tan again. I then very gently sanded the brown speckles off until it became a dirty brown color.
@Cravona Ahhh that makes sense. Impressive. Could I ask were you got the paracords and at whatpoint did you sand off the paint? Long after it dried or when it was still a little tangy? (fifteen minutes or so after you painted it)
@WOLF191223 I sanded off the paint when it was completely dry. I got the para cord from a friend but you can find it online at opsgear . com or any other military or airsoft website really. It's $8 for 100ft of it (at opsgear). So its pretty cheap.
@COGTRAIN Actually Paracord. Real deal fella's overseas use it to secure lights and whatever else on their rifles to the rifle itself. That way in case of recoil shock, if the items get loose and fall of they are still secured to their rifles and they don't have to get new stuff.
I guess I heard when you put a silencer over an inner barrel there might be a problem with the inner barrel not lining up with the silencer, and bb's will hit the inside of the silencer.
@BigJrod16 Ya I have heard this as well. I have checked to see if this was the problem but I can't see any visual damage from a bb hitting the inside.
@BigJrod16 Inner barrel runs about an inch to a inch and a half past the KAC flash-hider. The original barrel functioned normally until a few days before I ordered the Prometheus. Not sure why, possibly because of barrel vibration or the barrel had been damaged somehow. If it was due to barrel vibrations I plan on creating a spacer inside of the KAC to stbl it, I can't say for sure as I have not tested the Prometheus yet. If you were referring to the gun itself, no, it has not seen any problems.
