I love plowing with the grader! I use a 830 Dresser w/6spd auto! LOVE that thing! Not the most powerful, or fastest, or comfortable for that matter, but the visibility is unbelievable, and makes quick work out of most roads!

Its funny that Volvo has all this pride in building snow plows on there graders....

All that experience was from Canada where champion made these graders for almost 100 yrs! They WERE made in Gooderich,Ontario till the CLOWNS from volvo closed the plant. Now all the townships up here are buying Cat & Deere & even Case Graders. & It looks good on Volvo.........................­..................

at my work we got a 946 volvo, hit the ditch in 11th gear on a service road, wasnt fun, jard my blade n it broke 3 pins on the table.

Too bad they are still not made in Goderich Ontario. Used to see them around the area being shipped out on flatbeds. The last one from the plant went to Huron County highway dept.Before Volvo I remember the largest grader in the world built by Champion being in a parade in Goderich many years ago

Our RM demo'd a new Cat, Deere, and a Volvo. Cat joystick steering good idea, not perfected enough. Volvo tranny so noisey that all 3 operators spent less than an hour on it b 4 parkn it. The Deere was such a nice machine to operat the RM bought three.

Yea, I used to be a manager for their compact motor grader division here in Charlotte, NC. When we bought ourself out we acquired the Champion name.

I work for City of Montreal, we used graders for snow plow ,deicing the streets and snow removal operaton.

Volvo are really great in my line of work.(snow removal and deicing) confortable, easy to operate, dependable , efficient and very good heating in the cab even at idle in -20 -30 C.
