Upgrade the shotgun and assault rifle, I'm going to tell you now you probably won't use the pistol anymore because you don't have to carry it around, you can carry ANY two weapons and are not limited to pistol + x weapon. Sorry it was driving me nuts that you didn't ditch the crummy pistol when you found the shotgun.

P.S. SEMI SPOILERS??? You are going to find other weapons as you play.

I would suggest upgrading the shotty (for pure fun) and the Centurian pistol, based on the fact that it seems to be the basic "we're only going to give you the crappiest weapon possible after taking all your hard won guns off you" piece, so it makes sense to make it less crap and more kick-ass.

Its really not needed to upgrade weapons at this point but you'll probably use the shotty more. Also you can equip new weapons at lockers, you can equip 2 weapons just use scroll wheel. And the PC version of the game has problems loading textures so thats why some textures will fail miserably.

jesus this game was soooo short! i rented it around...3pm yesterday when i first saw it. beat it this morning at 9 am have all achievements but the killing with diffrent guns and the online ones. although i liked the story line. and i say upgrade the shotty damage and the Valkyrie damage then equip both of them those will do just fine until you get the mini gun

Shotgun's a good bet in horror games, but seeing how this game is very similar to Bioshock, I advise upgrading the Assault Rifle and staying away from the Pistol. I'm told the rifle is ridiculously powerful in this game, and if you think about it, it can carry more ammo than any other gun, so I'll be more useful in extended battles than the shotgun. Plus, the range'll help against human enemies.

Use the Valkyrie (Machine gun) it is the gun you will be using for most of the game. Upgrading that is a very good idea, you get so much ammo for it. Focus on that and you'll be good.

Helloween trust me iv completed this game like 3 times and the best weapon you have at the moment is the machine gun, upgrade the clip size and damage, dont bother with the reload time. Also you can have 2 weapons at once and for the next bit you'll need the machine gun and shotgun equiped. Anything else just ask

Since this game seems to like its corridors and close spaces, much as the sniper in me rebels at the idea of not tricking out the riffle, I'd say shotgun is the only answer.

I would upgrade the automatic rifle. It seems to be the most balanced weapon, so I don't suppose you could go wrong with it. I would ignore the pistol and the sniper and focus on the shotgun and the auto rifle. I've never played the game before, but it's hard to go wrong with that combo.

an upgraded valkyrie and shotty is all you need. heres what i found after playing:

1. Centurion is useless

2. Minigun takes too long to spin up unless you keep it spun, but the upgrade valkryie damage is sufficient to kill everything (plus you can aim down sight)

3. Sniper rifle is pointless, you get a special sniper right before any point in the game that would require a sniper rifle.

4. The other weapons are more novelty to me, and arent used enough or have enough ammo lying around
