  • omg i'm so waching fave movie

  • thank you!

  • When I was little (I'm 14 now) I used to be in LOVE with old country music. And Lorretta Lynn used to be my fav singer...Im more into rock, and the Beatles stuff now..But I still love this movie.

  • u recorded it in such short clips =(

  • este video e uma das coisas mais linda que ja assistir nos ultimus anosem toda minha vida

  • Who wants Bologna?

  • This was when country WAS country, not this "easy listening" crap that they try to pass off as country today.

  • You uploaded this the day after my birthday, & Loretta lynn is awesome!! butthe husband was creepy in the beginning & Loretta never aged, lol.

  • Too bad Tommy Lee Jones wasn't nominated for an Academy Award. He WAS this movie. Loretta said the same thing. (on the DVD) Which I own. :)

  • Sissy Spacek won an oscar for this movie not Carrie

  • @jutzie03 You are the one that is confused. R-E-A-D the credits and you will see that this is Sissy Spacek as LoveAnna13 stated. It also is one of her most famous roles ever.

  • 3 peaople missed the like buttn

  • love this movie shows how it was back in the day

  • I love this movie thank you:)

  • thnx for uploading, i LOVE this movie!! :D

  • i love this movie!

  • being english, i've always wondered if it's called a "holler" or is that just the accent?

  • @swooningtree It's normally known as "hollow" but the accent makes it sound like holler.

  • @swooningtree It's the accent, its hollow

  • just saw Loretta in concert tonight and she is still amazing! <3

  • You posted the entire movie, and YouTube didn't take it down? How on earth did you swing that? Thanks for posting.

  • Levon Helm shoulda got the fuckin award

  • "You dont have to win an Oscar? Most of the actors of today who did, I cant stand."

  • im 28 yrs old,and have a twin sister and this has been r favorite movie since we were lil kids, i love it. i wish i lived n those days, id survive 4 sure, i hate the way the world is now

  • sissy spacek...one of today's greatest actors. she's brilliant!

  • If I've heard correctly, her infamous collapse onstage happened right in Elmira (about a half hour from here). Anyone know if that's true? o.o

And thanks so much for uploading, I've been missing this movie. x)

  • One of my favorite movies i am so glad Loretta had as much control over the movie as she had. What you saw was how it was. I was raised in a house just like the one in Butcher hollow those were my best childhood memories. Girls were never forced to marry someone they didnot want to. Even in those days girls ruled and called the shots when it came to a future husband. I have been to Butcher Hollow one time but didnot go in the house that was just like the one i had lived in as a child.

  • I LOVE this movie.. thanks uploader... ur cool sh!t =P

  • This is one of my favorite videos too!

  • I agree with Loretta Tommy Lee Jones should've gotten the Oscar for this movie. It was basically all about how Doolittle made her a star.

  • i cant get ehough of this movie

  • Umm, I think you are confused, this is not Carrie.

  • Thank you i was like, when did they do that? I dont remember blood. ha ha ha ha

  • Right actress, wrong movie.

  • @tacomadavid68 ur so stupidd

  • i live were this movie was made

  • that sucks.

  • fo sho it does LOL

  • I use to live 10 mins away where Loretta Lynn (Custer WA)

  • i never get tired of watching this movie!

  • I married at 14. Still married 35 years later. I knew what I wanted

  • how'd you get married at 14?

  • Different times, different morals. Even today in many states in the USA people can get married as young as 12 & 13 if their parents sign a consent form thus emancipating the children. It's odd, but it exists. There is a county where I live, where it's legal to betroth children at birth, but it's illegal to force them to marry. The thing is, the child would NEVER say no, for fear of excommunication. It seems so ancient & immoral, but it does happen.

  • forget about waht i said and i take it back i was just joking):{

  • i so love this movie

  • Loretta Lynn got married when she was 13 and I'm that age.

  • she had 4 kids by the tiime she was 17 and was a grandmother at 29 that is kinda creepy im 13 too so it freaks me out

  • Her other child's name is Cissy

  • I Agree with Loretta, Tommy Lee Jones should've been recognized for his portrayal of "Doolittle" Lynn. To me "Doo" was the whole movie. Without his support there would be no Loretta.

  • so true so true with out him loretta wouldent have made it as a singer without him !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for posting this movie!!!..one of my favorites!! appreciate it..!! aloha from honolulu, hawaii!!!

  • I used to watch this movie with my mom.... i miss her.....anyways, great movie. great story. sissy spacek is quite the actress!

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, I Love This Film.

  • Levon Helm (drummer-singer for The Band) plays Loretta's father in this, and is superb.

  • hey thanks for putting this vid up!

  • The best thing about biopics, they are not victims of being remade. Coal Miner's Daughter is my favorite. Loretta Lynn and dolly Parton are my favorite singers and Sissy spacek is my favorite actress. <3

  • this movie is awsomness
