for sure it was a wonderful time to be in a bus with normal people. But I must admid, you missed a big place because you did not go up to the Gran Piedra. Is one of the few places in Cuba with the ancient nature. A real rainforrest, as the Cuban told you. Cool, mostly foggy or rainy. A fantastic wald up to the top. The top is the Gran Piedra. A 60 m high rock who builds the top of the mountain. Nobody knows how it came there. It is a rock of a kind that does not exist nowhere else in Cuba.
you can climb up the rock until the top and sometimes you have a great view. If you ever go back there you MUST go there. On the way you pass a little village, the people sit outside on a wall and sell wonderfull frish fruit for a special price. By the way you have a good pronanciation un Spanish. You should learn it even better. It is worth in Cuba to speak the language. Greetings from Gatineau.
@Miguel53de : Thank you for the information and the kind comments about my Spanish. I just love the Spanish language, and it's such a great tool of connecting with the locals when you travel around different places. Maybe next time I will make it up to the Gran Piedra.
