Because the infringement of rights is intended. C-SPAN, particularly the Book-TV division, which is dedicated to the dissemination of information to the public at large, isn't able to reach every nook and corner of the world. So I thought I would extend the measure. If this is offensive to you or if you're associated with this broadcast I apologize and will gladly remove the post. If, on the other hand you're simply trolling, why are you wasting your time?

It's not a question of permission but of courtesy. In addition, there is no commercial use of this information, so there actually is no copyright infringement. And none is intended!

@Loumademe So your infringing their rights courteously ? Also commercial can be defined simply as making people aware of a certain thing (video in this case , which is what posting this video is) , and which you have no right to , unless you want to claim sponsorship or fair use .

It's not an infringement at all.

Commercial Purpose:

1. The use of a public record for the purpose of:

sale or resale or for the purpose of producing a document containing all or part of the copy, printout or photograph for sale, or

2. obtaining of names and addresses from such public records for the purpose of solicitation, or

3. monetary gain from the direct or indirect use of the public record.

None of this applies to my post.

@clau2gi2 The only irony is in people who think they're right within copyright laws when in reality they are from from it . I don't care about about copyright in this instance and in others , my beef is with people who pretend to care .
