Great job! we are nplaying this in band, the only thing that i think you could improve on would be the stops at certain places to add an even more beautiful sound. Other than that amazing job!!
hi, this is a lovely song, and it'd work great for strings....
I was wondering if it was recording or a computer :D sounded too real for a recording but a bit weird too :D
now I read about the pitch shifter, and I understand
What is this pitch shifter? I've seen people record songs written for 8 voices and sing all the parts!!! I'm guessing they must have been using a program like that
@margotlorena1 I recorded all the parts on my violin. I used a metronome which I now realized made it sound "too real." :P A pitch shifter just transposes the sound up or down an octave (which is how I was able to make my violin sound like a cello).
Very cool that you're doing this! I do the same thing with my Trumpet and brass choir music! Its a little harder for me to match the timbre of a french horn, but it sounds very much like a trombone or tuba when pitched down. Hey...maybe we should collaborate and do a brass and string piece sometime?

Where can I get the score for this? I'm interested in doing it with my chamber group

This is such a beautiful piece. I was lucky enough to have the chance to play it for Wind Symphony in December 2009.
I play Trombone.
