Kristin...for drugstore brand eyeliners I use the shapener that comes with the Maybelline eyebrow stick. For my department store or higher end eyeliners I use my Guerlain eye sharpener. If I don't use the right sharpener, my eyeliners break off too!

I've been very disappointed with Nars eye shadows, and have talked to lots of other people who agree that they're very inconsistent- some have no payoff, some fade as you're applying, others are beloved. I have Rated R (duo) and CanCan and even patted on over a base, they lose intensity before I've even finished my look!

I'm so glad you got 'round to the NARS artisan Kabuki brush collection. I've had mine for a few months now and I just love them. The man at the NARS counter said these brushes should last for 10 years with proper care, so I bought them all. I like the short wide flat brush in the collection too. I use them everyday.

I watched all your videos and it has been a superb journey.
* Quick tip for melting the stick foundations you could also use a water bath (bain-marie) , sinking the palette partially (or completely if it has a lid and you can still hold it with something) in warm water , which can help melt the product evenly and gradually.
I tested the black pearl and plummy cream shadows in store; simply beautiful, but as I had no eye primer on (the better to play w/shadows that day!) I had fallout on my cheeks :( but I still want it lol~ You didn't like the BB stick consistancy after it was heated; or did better than previously? I find it a bit too dry & would prefer it creamier, may try this method if I get a Japonesque palette etc & will use my 187----thanks too for all the new eye candy :)
Personally, I was kind of underwhelmed with the metallic cream shadows. The glitter was pretty but it seems you would have to build up with color underneath to get the cream to pay off. Did you try the powder Chrome shadows? I have the silver and pewter. The petwer looks amazing over the MAC Black greasepaint stick. I imagine it is close look to the MAC Guilt by Association minerized shadow.
Love the tip about the Temptu palettes. I wonder where they are available in the States?

Question: I've been applying my RCMA cream foundations by using a spatula to take some out of the pan and then mashing it around on a palette, (usually cutting it with something)then putting it on. I see you just use a foundation brush in the palette directly. (Which I've done too.) I find your way mush easier but, do you think it's hygienic?
fall out usually means you put to much on and did not press it into the skin...its all about the finding the right tool for the right products.i love the hair dryer melted foundation... love ya shelly

Love the beard...very sexy. I love my MAC stick foundation(why MAC why). I will definitely get back ups when I get a chance. NARS brushes look very nice... may have to pick up the blush one. I keep hearing great reviews about it.

I am very fair, and have very dry skin
and I am in desperate search of good concealer!!
bobbibrown is little pricey for me
I am currently useing benefit's erase paste and I do like it but it seems dry and doesn't really cover my dark circle please could you recommend one concealer?
am half japanese and half french so little bit of yello tone but I would say I am very pink and fair

Have you got the Bobbi Brown BBU Palette? I'm finding the same thing with the stick foundation in there a foundation brush makes them look like crap so I 'll try a stiple brush! Cheers XXX

I'm so glad you got 'round to the NARS artisan Kabuki brush collection. I've had mine for a few months now and I just love them. The man at the NARS counter said these brushes should last for 10 years with proper care, so I bought them all. I like the short wide flat brush in the collection too. I use them everyday.

keep the beard loving it :) also quick question I went to illamasqua and asked for a good concealer for dark circles and the MUA said that if i put red (either lipstick or lip liner on the dark parts of the circles then covered with my regular concaeler that would get rid of the dark circles do you agree? would love to know what you think cause the MUA said that is what they do in cinema to cover tatoos :) thanks

Hello Wayne.
I watched all your videos and it has been a superb journey.
* Quick tip for melting the stick foundations you could also use a water bath (bain-marie) , sinking the palette partially (or completely if it has a lid and you can still hold it with something) in warm water , which can help melt the product evenly and gradually.

I tested the black pearl and plummy cream shadows in store; simply beautiful, but as I had no eye primer on (the better to play w/shadows that day!) I had fallout on my cheeks :( but I still want it lol~ You didn't like the BB stick consistancy after it was heated; or did better than previously? I find it a bit too dry & would prefer it creamier, may try this method if I get a Japonesque palette etc & will use my 187----thanks too for all the new eye candy :)

Personally, I was kind of underwhelmed with the metallic cream shadows. The glitter was pretty but it seems you would have to build up with color underneath to get the cream to pay off. Did you try the powder Chrome shadows? I have the silver and pewter. The petwer looks amazing over the MAC Black greasepaint stick. I imagine it is close look to the MAC Guilt by Association minerized shadow.
Love the tip about the Temptu palettes. I wonder where they are available in the States?

Question: I've been applying my RCMA cream foundations by using a spatula to take some out of the pan and then mashing it around on a palette, (usually cutting it with something)then putting it on. I see you just use a foundation brush in the palette directly. (Which I've done too.) I find your way mush easier but, do you think it's hygienic?

fall out usually means you put to much on and did not press it into the skin...its all about the finding the right tool for the right products.i love the hair dryer melted foundation... love ya shelly
