what's the hostility about.. these guys have been a band since I was in high school (i'm 30 now), and have been touring and putting out good music ever since.. i don't see this as a shallow publicity stunt, i see it more as a guy who's getting older, and seeing if this is a sustainable thing, or if it's time to move onto the next chapter.. hostile people on youtube who haven't been in a band don't know the hard work involved, so time to stop being children and respect the guy's decision..

Unfortunately, a lot of people DON'T know who Punchline are, including myself. I think that although his intentions are positive, I can't honestly see Punchline getting to the #1 spot. This isn't anything against the band, but more about the crazy number of people who would rather listen to the bullshit charts. I think more of a goal should be playing a big festival, like Download, and then they are sure to get themselves noticed more, without just aiming for something near-on impossible.
