Jeez, people that always complain that the dub sucks get on my nerves. Sure some dubs are bad and some are good. But saying that ALL dubs are bad is just making a false accusation. I personally like the dubs. And you whining and bitching about it isn't gonna change anything.
It depends on the anime. It really does, there are good dubs and bad dubs of every language! Believe it or not, there are Japanese dubs that are WORSE than the English. I have to say it though, I don't like Clannad's dub. The shows that made me cry, I normally don't like the dub. Weird...

I saw and watched Clannad's first and 2nd season with subs, and then went back and watched the English for season 1. There's nothing wrong with the dub other than people doing their darnest to spread the hate. D=
@Yukikittie trust me man it dosent feel right i usually like english dub but this dosent work with a lot of characters there good actors but the voices dont match

Also you are wrong, it's always those few people who say it sucks who ruin it for everyone, because most anime fans are sheep, I am an anime fan and I will not deny that I am sometimes a sheep with this stuff. How many english dubs have you watched? There are some ones that are much better than the original Japanese dub (something FUNimation should try :P)
I admit the Clannad dub cast isn't the best though, and stop hating everything

Ive watched clannad over 4 times now (including afterstory) so ive become custom to the Japanese VAs.. the strange twist kinda kills the anime for me..
Yea Im just not happy with the English VAs.. I like the main actor for Nagisa: Luci Christian, but I dont think her voice Would fit Nagisa.. She did a good job in Azumanga Daioh tho..
Tomoya: David Matranga is not a well known VA but I did like him in 5 Centimeters Per Second.. Tho I dont know if it will fit Tomoya..
Guess I cant make my final evaluation till I watch episode 1 tomorrow. =/
I'm really happy they dubbed this. I would have gotten this regardless, but I'm happy. I love dubbed anime (Not because I don't like reading the subs. I actually own several sub only titles.)
To be honest this does concern me a little. I don't want to buy a dvd thinking it's only going to be subbed just to get a dubbed version several months down the road.
@sayatheblakat Well if you buy the new collection you can watch it with the subtitles fixed, apparently the sub only version had mistakes and they said they were going to fix the subtitles too.
They already did it. 'The Anime Network' is broadcasting tonight! I think it's the first two episodes, but I'm not 100% sure. I know the websites getting it tomorrow.

I watched some of the dub on Netflix (they stream it but you have to be a member to watch it), it's actually really good.

The japanese voice actors are always the best. The english on the other hand suck. They can't even pronounce the names right.

I watched the first ep of this in english off on demand and Son I am dissapoint. Nagisa sounds too deep Sunohara is too high pitch BUT I like Tomoya.
