Ok I love that you are empatic and i is true that it is probably not brain chemistry, but I saw videos of Rocky and you have to be honest that his brain is kinda ill
thank you for having the guts to speak out. after reading a few of the comments i feel many people missed the message you were trying to point out but at least you tried!!! x
I Know what you mean man! I explain one of my rants to user jockmclaren47. He said this is the worst type of pseudo science.
Yep, DELERIOUS , that's a great example of this pseudo science. Another example there model could not tell difference between an apple or orange so telling truth or not dont matter. . Man it all an illusion. These creeps target kids and elderly. dodge questions, etc etc. No need get wound up on this You are higher up. there an illusion. .You know the truth.
I should become a PSYCH DOC. I bet I know more about this than most people in usa. Most people blame anger and say you need to see a psych doc. HAHA guess again.
Then people blame you for being DELERIOUS for "SEEING" stuff that shouldnt be talked about because "HIGHER UP" wont come pick you up from this shit hold society you live in.
Like I said, I have no problem being a JUDGE of SOCIETY for MENTAL INSTITUTIONS.
When we live in a broken society, in which case is ran by maniacs. They are the ones with the so called mental disorders. They don't care about us, they only care about controlling us.
Many of the mental illnesses in the DSM are real because people actually experience the symptoms. Many people diagnosed with them however have been misdiagnosed. I find the DSM to just be a book of different forms and types behavior & personalities classified as 'bad'. However, the meds used to 'treat' them often don't work and/or cause more side effects than good. If you are depressed and suicidal you want to feel better, you don't want to take a med that will make you feel more suicidal though
Hey guys. I'm battling from schizophrenia. I'm not asking for money or views or anything, but just for support and for people to hear me out. My psychiatrist said to let people know about your problem, but everyone thinks I'm weird and my family cannot understand or take me seriously. I made a blog about my problems, and I hope we can talk on there. My blog is battlingschizophrenia.blogspot.com . Fellow schizophrenics, you should also come. We can fight the battle together.
@jaco0bx Hi, i invite you to visit cchr.org. CCHR stands for Citizens Commission on Human Rights, it is a group who campaigns psychiatrists and their damaging "treatments" and "diagnosis" of peoples problems. While i am sure you are having trouble that you could find some help for, i would advice psychiatry is not the avenue for you. I would also say that schizophrenia is mislabeled a lot. You should get more info from CCHR and find a more effective solution.
@jaco0bx my bro suffers from it and my aunt, grandma and uncle and now me people don't really understand what we go through or what we live through yet people have the nerves to Judge us . People Over estimate their intelligence and think they can Make corrections and assumptions on the internet to people who are different from them or simply more experienced but obviously they have no experience what so ever to even Judge .
anyone from Australia on this page? It sucks. these banners are everywhere. those questions are just ridicules. 'if you watch tv late at night' is a symptom in a mental heath guide these pricks follow. what the hell does dumbass mental heath got to do with government fraud psychiatry.
@CliveGains80s Yes, I am (from Australia). I don't watch TV or read magazines or newspapers or anything printed by our lovely government, but I do stay up late at night on the internet, learning about the truth from reputable sources with no political or economic agenda... like this channel. I guess my use of the internet is a symptom in some mental illness. I already have 8 official mental illnesses and I have self diagnosed with another 3, my goal is to qualify for as many as possible. :-S
@MellyJuffin Hello there. you don't know if anyone in Australia has been diagnosed with the 'winter blues' (season affected disorder)? I just find it so funny. Id love to see centerlinks face reading that one!
8 mental illness is impressive. but go with your goals...and get some more. you could have even bigger resume of those qualifications.
@CliveGains80s I'm anticipating the next DSM and I can start working on my "Spiritual Emergency" mental illness. I actually had one of those quite a few years ago, but it wasn't recognized back then. But cynicism aside, if you take a HUGE step back and look at this ridiculous situation historically, society is heading in a more compassionate direction. Sick is better than evil or bad. Treatment better than witch burning. If most of society has a mental illness - there's the problem -society.
@MellyJuffin has anyone bothered listen to what your saying or you just got the mental ill criteria? you must have some powerful demonic forces againts you and symbolically 'burning witch' etc all make sense. I am aware there some good out there. But I hope you watch MARKETING OF MADNESS or other truth so you can re-evaluate even using the fraud term "mental illness". proof drugs just repackage. scamble you brain, dont fix anything, just to shut you up. Anyway, RON PAUL 2012. ALEX JONES No.1!
@CliveGains80s 1. almost my whole family has schizno 2. we are all christian 3. we don't do demonic BLOO BLAA 4. My aunt and bro live their lives independent and successful with medication 5. just cuz they have a mental disorder such as schizno doesn't mean They talk 24/7 =_= 6. please don't make Bad rumors about people like us
belive it or not the shape of your body can determinate your psyche and not only that your eyes, your face shape. I can spot a psychopath just by looking at him
Website - electricshocktherapy.info - This Website Exposes the "TORTURE", "DEATHS" and "MEDICAL FRAUD" surrounding Electro-Convulsive Treatment ("ECT") also known as "Electric Shock Therapy" and Insulin-Coma Therapy".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate than the word "gay".
A person does not need religion, hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important, qualitative differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption.
Homosexual activists, with complete support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims and martyrs; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
The drugs keep the people moving as "ants" in the ant farm (the economy)...the only thing the government cares about is profiting from you and your loved ones...they dont care about your personal well-being or interests...they operate in such a fashion to continuously profit off of you. You are not "ill".
The biggest problem in today's world is the lack of critical thinkers. The less educated are the ones putting full faith in psychiatry because they simply "do as they are told".
@wwwtotalitaerde And the practice is similar all over the world. The the collective governments use psychiatry as a backbone to social enforcement. Any person who lives a life beyond/outside of the government's intended social ideals is drugged up the arse and stripped of human rights. capitalism protection.

This APA organization, backed by powerful pharmaciutical distributers, aims for absolute socio-economic power and total behavior control, as well as population control. The ones capitalizing in this business will never admit fault.
@bigred0bigbrother Exactly. And as the people, are we going to sit around and allow the history of the world to be predetermined? or will we take matters into our hands and stand ground for our future, our childrens futures, and our planet's future?
@priotrtheprimate Which leads me to believe that the purpose of psychiatry is to prevent any sort of social evolution, change, revolution, or structural reformations from occurring. If only the mass public realized the true nature of this practice. I wonder if that day would be the end of democracy in itself lol... everyone subscribe to me if you like truth and sincerety.
@priotrtheprimate In fact it is nearly entirely societal due to the fact that a portion of social guidelines were created by psychiatry and continue to be strictly enforced within all major political governmental and institutional sectors...you are a fool...
@priotrtheprimate You have a skewed robotic textbook worldview. You get all of your information, which you know nothing of, from the writings of others rather than your own collective experience. You're an uneducated dope. I'm sure other people in this blog would agree.
@BigRed0BigBrother That is far too broad a generalisation to be taken seriously. You've interacted will ALL of the psychiatrists and psychologists of the world have you?
@jeshopk You are hurling elephants. You are generalising far too broadly and being hyperbolic. You aren't really interested in arguing a point with evidence and sound argument. You are essentially emoting and (figuratively) waving your arms wildly and hoping to be recieved as someone with vital insight into psychiatric practice that all we idiots have missed.
@jeshopk & Hornilope: Your conversation is hilarious. Dr. Breeding isn't saying that mental disorders don't exist, he's saying that they are largely subjective depending on who is doing the diagnosing. Which is true. A crucial criteria for all disorders in the DSM is a SIGNIFICANT IMPAIRMENT OF IMPORTANT AREAS OF LIFE i.e. work, social, physical health etc. So if you feel sad sometimes but it doesn't impair your ability to function "normally" you wouldn't be diagnosed with depression.
@inadreambuzz33 Dr Breeding and his guru Szasz are in effect contending that mental illness is a social construction and they justify this position -- as Breeding is doing in this video -- with reference to nosological controversy. Szasz and his disciples appear to believe that variations and revisions of nosological practice over time demonstrates that mental illness is a social contruction. But it demonstrates no such thing....
... The Szaszian argument is akin to someone in the early 18th century contending that species don't exist because biological taxonomy is always being revised. Breeders video says nothing about mental illness _per se_ it should be titled "The Truth About Psychiatric Nosology". I agree that psychiatric nosology is in need of revision but that does not entail that mental illness is "largely subjective depending on who is doing the diagnosing". The fact remains that underneath any...
... nosological controversy their is distress and suffering and it is this distress and suffering that modern psychiatry aims to reduce or eliminate. Nosology provides a conceptual framework that aids in the administration of medicine -- that is all. It doesn't create the distress and suffering -- that exists as matter of objective reality. Could psychiatric nosology be more objective? Certainly and it will eventually become so as the mysteries of the brain are understood.
@jeshopk yes, that is why all people take medicine. theyre forced because the evil goverment has a bunch of conpiracies to make people into zombies although most modern medicine doesn't.
youve got a great grip on reality son =D i think you need some antipsychotics.
not that i expect more from a person who has strong opinions on his realistic views of mental hospitals based on hollywood movies.
@jeshopk And nobodys forced to take any medicine. You can slap the diagnose of "schizophrenia" on somebody and they wouldn't be forced to take anything.
@jeshopk SSRI's do not numb you or make you automatically happy, that is not how they work. They partially fix the chemical imbalance that depression has caused. Depression is extremly different from simply being sad.
There is no justification in comparing SSRI to real drugs since they aren't addictive or make you high.
Shit, during my biggest depression in my life I took no SSRI or other drugs/medicine because i was surrounded by retards like you.
@jeshopk wow, you have ignored every single argument ive brought forward and still you continue to post? you just denied the existence of the biggest symptom of depression rofl.
@jeshopk The fact that you beleive that thought can cure depression actually proves that you've never been anhedonic, which is a major symptom of depression.
@jeshopk yes, im the guy that ignored half of the arguments the other one brought forward and denied the existence of real, extreme mental illness and symptoms because ITZ ALL PART OF TEH EVIL SYSTEM
@jeshopk theyre symptoms of certain types of psychosis, not all.
so if im psychotic and beleive im messiah, that i can fly, and that i can talk to trees i guess im perfectly sane and dont need any help? theyre just different judgements on what is reality and what isnt, right?
indeed, extreme stress can cause hallucinations, but this is a psychosis as a result of that. Its a well known fact that stress can trigger mental illness. Thanks for proving my point. =)
@jeshopk once youre in the state of depression the production of serotonin has been severely reduced, which is what makes us respond less to thought and other stimulation then we usually would, thus anhedonia. (and lack of appetite etc)
this naive presumption just proves that youve never been through any real, severe mental health problems and youve never seen anyone who has up close.
your denial of the existance of these things and lack of will to properly define them wont change anything.
@jeshopk what you explained arent specific symptoms of psychosis rofl, except for the hallucinations. which are not common if youre stressed, and people who have mental illness get it without the use of drugs.
being psychotic is being out of touch with reality and having lost control of your mind. you denying this being real doesnt change anything.
why dont you ask a person who has been psychotic and recovered wether or not they where sick in that period of time, and see what answer you get =)
@jeshopk oh, so because people are getting overdiagnosed and the dsm is unclear this means severe, clinical depression (with physical symptoms and a lack of activity in the brain area where serotonin is active that can be measured with a brain scan and is impossible to stimulate because the production of serotonin has come to a halt for a period of time) be is not real? =)
have fun living in your beautiful fantasy world with rainbows, chocolate rivers and no real severe mental health problems
@jeshopk and what if the reason for feeling like shit is a genetical mental illness, that makes you depressed every 6 months for no good reason?
oh yes i forgot, you deny that these things exist until i call them something else. because calling something something is an OPINION! D: D:
fact of the matter is the only reason youre able to beleive these retarded things is because youve never been through anything remotely as hard as depression, and you havent been manic or psychotic.
@jeshopk the medication that is forced onto people is almost never anti-depressants, please give me a link with an example of such a case. theyre almost always antipsychotics.
reason for this the so called increased suicide rate is because it take 4-6 weeks for antidepressants to get any effect, and people who get this medication are already in huge suicide risk. there is no evidence that it is in fact the antidepressants that make these people suicidal.
@jeshopk And also nobodys forcing anybody to take SSRI's. Its always up to the patient.
Unfortunately idiots like you keep the stigma of these medications alive and stop people who need to take them from taking them, making their depressions worse then was necessary and/or driving them to suicide.
@jeshopk there is actually evidence that emotional reactions are automated to some degree. There is also evidence that when a person is far into depression or psychosis or mania they have less control over what they feel and think, a prime example being anhedonia in depression.
@jeshopk They don't impair driving, they don't make you high, and they are EVIDENTLY NOT FUCKING ADDICTIVE. how hard is it to get this simple little fact into your mind?
try taking fucking 10 prozacs and i swear you will not get high, all it will do is make you feel like shit.
@jeshopk That's a question of definition. Once again, youre resorting to pointing out what words I use as if it matters, intentionally missing my point because you know you are unable to counter them properly.
Ok, I'll use words your weak little stupid mind might be able to understand. Replace "disease" with "problem" and "cure" with "fix".
What will you resort to know, my young little retard? "but, but, anhedonia and depression arent problems, theyre just a different state of mind ;(". rofl
@jeshopk also i see that youre ignoring more and more things about our argument, like how ssri's for example are vastly different from alcohol and cocaine. pretty typical for someone getting raped in an internet argument.
and no, peoples different reactions are NOT the just the result of people thinking differently about things. that the most idiotic and ignorant thing you've said so far. peoples systems have different ways of reacting to stress, drugs, experiences, traumas, etc.
fuck, theres cold-hard evidence that supports this. google stuff written by arvid carlsson (nobel prize winner) for example.
@jeshopk when somebody's psychotic theyre perception of the world is completely different, their thought patterns are changed, they have hallucinations of different kinds, they don't know what's real, etc. theyre essentially a completely different person. theyre not conciously rejecting reason.
@jeshopk its not true, and even if it is, one person might go manic from one experience, the other one depressed, the other one psychotic, and the other one might brush it off as if it where nothing (including a bipolar person depending on where in their cycle they are).
how do you explain people going psychotic? good luck talking sense into someone who is rofl.
@jeshopk And also please look at all of my posts here, where I've fucked up every single pathetic argument your young, inexperienced baby blue ass has thought of.
@jeshopk no, unfortunately, its not that simple. anhedonia is a symptom of depression that is caused by a lack of production of neurtransmitters.
the reason for somebody getting in this state does SOMETIMES have underlying psychological reasons, and even when they do they are never the entire reason. you can stop those if you recognize what it is that makes you reach depression, but once you are there, it is impossible to get out of it by merely thinking. You're helpless.
You haven't been severely depressed so you have no clue what it's like. Claiming that a severe, clinical depression can be thought away is ignorant and harmful.
Why dont you go a to a mental hospital and see how many people you can cure with your philosophy. =)
@jeshopk And also please fucking explain how psychotropic drugs are like alcohol and cocaine when most of them aren't addictive and cant make you high.
I asked this before but your ignorant dumbass ignored it because you have no proper arguments to counter it with. =) Not strange when your original statements where lies.
@jeshopk No, they're not "just drugs". One sedates you and stops you from fixing your life, wrecks it even, the other one cures you from anhedonia and allows you to fix your life. And since anhedonia and other symptoms from depression are almost always the main root of the problems, it does in fact fix the problems.
And recreational drugs do not cure anhedonia and other symptoms I mentioned. Antidepressants do.
The example I took was the rare occassion when the depression has a very specific cause, one that I thought that even you might be able to understand. But I guess I was wrong.
Stop being a retard, pull your head out of your arse, educate yourself, and get more and more significant and harder life experiences before you open your uneducated dumbass mouth.
@jeshopk there's a big difference between symptoms that arise from stopping to take a medication to fast and actual addiction.
You need to be careful when you stop taking SSRI. You need to slowly take less and less over a long period of time. If you do it right you'll be fine.
Do I need to remind you of the fact that I've both fought real drug addiction and have stopped taking anti-depressants and came out fine on several occassions?
I base my opinion on real life experience and facts.
@jeshopk this despite the fact that the majority of these drugs arent addictive or recreational?
sleeping pills, many anxiolytics and to a lesser degree some adhd medicine is, however, and some of that medicine shouldnt be used outside of hospitals.
but with anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers etc this is absolutely not the case. it's not addictive and it can't make you high.
please get som experience with psychotropic drugs (and recreational drugs) and educate yourself in the matter before you voice your opinion. I have plenty of experience with both, you do not. I'm also very well educated in the matter. =)
the medicines i mentioned does not suppress the problems, it helps you deal with them and allows you to function when you have an episode and is sick (manic, depressive, psychotic etc).
If a depressed person is depressed for a specific reason, which is often NOT the case other then a chemical imbalance that you're born with (although episodes are often triggered by recreational drugs, trauma, stress etc), then the anti-depressants will allow them to deal with that person. If that person remains in a fully depressed state with complete apathy and inability enjoy anything, it's impossible to fix those problems.
@Hornilope For example I know for a fact that my own depressions weren't triggered by anything specific other then me being manic prior to them. And I also know for a fact that if it wasn't for anti-depressants I would've killed myself a long time ago.
If your measly problems and trials in life could be fixed by thinking yourself out of it with your silly, stupid little mind it's a clear sign that you just haven't been through enough for your opinion to matter =) (your lack of knowledge in psychotropic drugs further supports this statement)
@jeshopk so? you can that about alot of words in the english vocabulary. sorry but you dont have a real point, retard.
fact is people that are severly depressed, psychotic, manic etc need help. wether or not you choose to call these behaviours symptoms or not is insignificant.
lying and saying that these people dont need help is harmful and dangerous. i can explain further why if you dont understand, which you probably dont, because you are evidently a fucking retard.
@jeshopk which degree of manic behaviour that is needed to consider it mania is subjective (for example), but not the actual symptoms which i described. that would be like saying that red and green are subjective.
Everywhere i look i see mental illness. Road rage, airport rage, supermarket checkout rage, bank line rage.People disorganized, running late constantly, people who are always under financial pressure, people who smoke, drink, overeat, drug, lie, rob, fight, argue, manipulate, abuse, assault, are confused, ingratiate, phewwww. But wait theres more people who critisize others, defend, justify, attack, disregard others and lack empathy, etcccccccccccccccccc. A sick fuck known as the human race.
This is deffinately true what this gentleman is talking about. Medication is nothing but agenocide, in most cases. Power and control of certain groups of individuals! Society needs to wake up and smell the coffee!
your ignorant, stupid, and have a poor understanding of true mental illness.
just because the deffinitions arent clear doesnt mean that ts not real, even though the way america in particular handles diagnosing people is often irresponsible.
tell a psychotic or chlinically depressed person they dont need meds and that theyre not sick and youll ruin their lives.
The truth always hurts. Hopefully it scares most people into accepting the modern world for all of it's working matter, hierarchy, and systemic evolution. Psych hospitals also leave their skeletons behind in the form of run down deserted buildings that are populated by owls and rats, it's done many places. Again, the truth hurts..so go get a bumper sticker or something,
i think the world should stop persecuting people for having health problems with their brain. a person cannot help if they are not well on top. thats the same as persecuting against somebody for having any kind of health problem. I do personally think though that all the crap and brainwashing in society is responsible for causing mental problems. if you try and convince a group of people somethign then they will become that way and that is what the government seem to do.
Psychiatry is the only global governing body existing in the world today. It is a practice that assumes the power of God, permitted by law to enslave people. Psychiatry should be synonomous with slavery. You just need to be able to think a little bit more outside of the box to understand what I'm getting at here. I hope your minds are not bound to the chains of your circumstances. I will pray for you.
I enjoy your videos very much. And I'd like to share with you the conclusion that Academia is a systematic propaganda scheme used to enforce definitive class distinction regardless of one's intelligence. However, I will exploit it to the fullest extent of my ability due to our contemporary societal circumstances. I hope I've helped you in some way along your studies. If you'd like to talk more, or have any questions about my discoveries, don't hesitate to drop me a message.
During the time we had to study this DSM4 i recall most of us students were both intimidated first by the sheer SIZE of d book n then joked as we studied more n more symptoms that "hey i have this ..n So-n-so has def. narcissitic do!"
Unfortunately, its taken as the Holy Grail of mental illness n i really dont knw how lay people can be 'de-conditioned' to NOT accept diognosis by a psychiatrist or psychotherapist as God's Judgement
personally i feel mental disorders are MOSTLY someones dumb excuse to act stupid...kinda of a way to whine and cry about their life sucking and doing nothing to make it better...pity me im bipolar...boo hoo...grow up!
@317anastar Derp, derp, derp. Like I give a crap what you think about my videos? I ain't tryin' to impress nobody, especially lame fucks like you. Toodles, then.
Interesting points about how diseases are diagnosed and categories created in DSM, People are probably over diagnosed with a disease when they are simply maladjusted. But arguing that the mental health industry is a witchhunt is a little much. There are real neurological diseases that need real treatments. Overdiagnosis is a problem and too many categories is a problem but it is not a political witchhunt or simply an oppressive means of social control. get a grip.
@BigRed0BigBrother What needs to be done is that legislation needs to be put in place that demands empirical evidence be shown before something can be classified as a medical disorder instead of just having a bunch of people vote on it.
Only then will we be able to focus on those who are truly ill, stop letting criminals get away with crime under the excuse that they are "bipolar", and stop letting perfectly healthy people get medicated with drugs that have serious side effects.
@BigRed0BigBrother I also think it's absurd of you to claim that Psychiatrists have no feelings or emotions. Next you'll be telling me that psychiatrists are really alien lizards who dress up like humans....
Psychiatrists are people like everyone else, and they come in all shapes and sizes and with all kinds of motivations and beliefs. The problem is that the ones in power seem to be corrupt and greedy, and no one is doing anything to stop them from spreading lies and medicating health people.
@BigRed0BigBrother Wrong. I defend what the evidence supports. Clearly i just explained to you that i don't support either extreme, not yours or big pharma's. I don't believe there are even half as many psychological disorders as psychiatrists claim there are, but it's equally ridiculous to claim there are none. Just ask a schizophrenic who talks to people who aren't really there and sees rats instead of apples every time he looks at what are really apples.
@BigRed0BigBrother The problem with fanatics like you is it has to be all one way or the other. You're just the other extreme when it comes to psychiatry. Unlike those who diagnose everything as a psychological disorder, you don't believe that ANYTHING is a psychological disorder.
The truth is that there ARE a psychological disorders out there that can be empirically verified, but there aren't nearly as many as the DSM would have you believe.
@BigRed0BigBrother Before you embarrass yourself any further why don't you look up the definition of what a psychological disorder is? Homosexuality does not impair day-to-day activity, motor skills, or cognitive ability. It does not inherently cause stress, and as such is NOT a mental disorder.
Schizophrenia on the other hand is a real, verifiable mental disorder.
@BigRed0BigBrother The DSM keeps getting larger because psychiatry has been corrupted. Only a few psychological disorders exist and most of them aren't even severe. However, in order to earn more funding and seem more important than they are psychiatrists started diagnosing practically everything as a psychological disorder without empirical evidence that these so called disorders exist.
However, some of them do and can be empirically verified.
@BigRed0BigBrother You clearly have no idea what you're talking about and would rather fantasize about conspiracy nonsense for which you have no evidence of then get into a real discussion about why/how psychiatry has been corrupted.
There are a lot of homosexuals everywhere, and homosexuality develops the same way heterosexuality does. It is not a mental disorder by any means. I'm guessing you're a religious brainwashed zealot who hates gays and thus think they have a mental disorder.
Good video. I'd like to make a correction though if i may. Homosexuality was not removed from the DSM as a psychological disorder simply due to political pressure; it was removed because it does not fit the characteristics of of psychological disorders.
Homosexuality does not cause inherent distress, it is the social stigma that causes them distress not their homosexual behavior itself. Homosexuality does not impair cognitive or motor capabilities nor interfere with day-to-day activities.
I like to know why some people tell me I am sick and need mental therapy. Comment like that are so mean. What have I being doing that is making some people to judge me like that?

Thanks for this video. It helped clarify a lot of things. I think it was very helpful for me. There is a lot of b/s out there. This is a video is a good set of floaties to help navigate some of it.
until one has lived with bi-polar and restless legs and anixiety attacks their whole life they dont know what the heck their talking about. Cancer isnt real either neither is aids its all in your head just like the brain cant have chemical imbalances considering its a compouter muscle and runs on electro stilumilations and chemical interactions within a network. Give me a break. Mental illness is real. Besides there is no normal everyone is uniquely different until the clones wake up oh!
I know that much of that bood presents solid information on many difficult to understand issues. The way it is managed in Australia is terrible. Mental health is a joke. But believe it or not, the book you describe has made thing better....not good but better
All I'm hearing in all of your responses is that everyone is a Satanist. A bit ridiculous to be claiming Satanism as a valid argument to someone who is an Atheist. We don't believe in any gods, including Satan. Not to mention some of your responses are just utter bullshit. You obviously spend your time reading books on the Occult, Atlantis and conspiracy theories. Perhaps you should read something based on actual history and reality.
The whole concept of psychiatry was developed well before 1900 in Germany to get rid of people complaining. The first use of directed energy weapons can be recognized in psychiatric literature from 1908. You find it in chapter Psychiatrie-->Klinik der Narkolepsie on my homepage. During the NAZI time this concept was given up as Germany just murdered oponents. It was relaunched directly after the war to persecute and silence concentration camp survivors.
i do think force medicating people is a bad idea. if a person is put on large amounts of medication i.e pills daily this will increase the chances of them taking an overdosr at some point as they will think well i am taking all this poison so i might as well just take all of them and see what happens
Study this sentence, Breeding. You need help. "Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by
giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their
view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority."
Read Anatomy of an Epidemic by Robert Whitaker. He is not a Scientologist but an accomplished medical journalist. I have a mental illness diagnosis and I have taken all types of Psychiatric Drugs and ECT, but nothing worked. 8 years chronically ill, but now 1 year free of depression without using drugs.
How the hell can anyone take any stock any man made sceictific theoreys of someones opinion on humae behavour the Illuminati want you to think being bore is a problem. Childern are not boren greedy, bigets, selfish, manipulators, control freaks, they are taught that; the only Disorder there is DRAMA DISORDER aka imature.
hahahaha....yeah, and if someone had that I suppose they'd dope them up with psychoactive drugs like Zoloft or Prozac or one of their spinoffs and call it a day huh? Why not give them a cup of coffee? Or cut a slice of their brain out? Electro-therapy? FUNNY. Nice video, Psychiatry is nuts =_=
@xknowledgeisfreex Yes in fact I worked with someone who had that. I'm pretty sure he wasn't very expressive in his blurted out language, or in his beating his chest, from the disorder. That's what I'm saying, what the hell is that supposed to be?
Dr Breeding is a Scientologist. His opinion should be discredited based on religious belief alone. Not to mention that this video was made for the psyche truth channel which is a marketing tool used by the church of scientology. I have mentioned this before but my comments seem to keep being deleted.... interesting.
@ortausti I haven’t created a YouTube channel and filmed "pseudo" experts speaking on a variety of subjects including the evils of psychiatry, for the sole purpose of supporting my religious beliefs. Including the belief that there is no such thing as mental illness. This is some evil stuff right here.. praying on week minds and hiding behind these so called public service videos - what utter crap. These people are worse than the psychiatrists they are calling out.
@pomeroyj Non of that has anything to do with the question I asked. What you recognize as evil is actualy the one thing that keeps us human. When it's eliminated "probably by psychiatrists" you'll see first hand what evil truely is. When humans are no longer "human" they will all be subject to the eternal flame, that is undoubtably a fact. It's interesting how even the most religious of humans today indirectly worship the serpant. You don't even know you're doing it do you?
@ortausti I'm sorry this might come as a bit of a shock to you. I am an atheist, so I'm not too concerned with running my life according to a 2000 year old camp fire story about serpants, devils and magic used to make the children behave. In answer to your question: I'm not pushing a belief or religion. I'm simply highlighting the fact the Dr Breeding is not doing us public service - he is serving himself and the cult of Scientology a fact that they seem to not want us to know.
@pomeroyj It's funny you speak of stories to make the children behave. Yet you've been programmed so easily to obey. Even when ninety percent of the people say no to something, their representitive will say yes. Why? In reality what he represents is obedience without question. To make his wallet fatter. Nothing more. What this Dr. represents, I don't realy care about. Athiest or not you know the difference between good and evil. Don't ignore recognition. Is it possible life is bigger than you?
@ortausti Nationalism, ideology, religious extremism, and many other ways of thinking and living obscure our capacity for calm, rational self-reflection and self-critical thought. Humans have empathy - in a nutshell this is how we develop our sense of good and bad - we are not programmed to have empathy it's inherent. A 2 day old baby displays empathy - whether it's been christened or not - Monkeys, puppies and dolphins all display empathy. It's not the meaning of life - it's just a fact
@pomeroyj critical thought huh? Don't care, can't argue with ignorance, it just ignores things. Only a coward is incapable of thinking there is a possibility that life is bigger than they are, and that not everything is in their control. That might mean something somewhere has their fate planned out for them. Cowards hate this, so they don't beleive in anything. Only that they are the center of everything, and are in control of their own fate. It terrifies them to think otherwise.
@ortausti the deffinition of ignorance is to be uneducated, unaware, or uninformed not to ignore something. Not knowing this would place you in that category. It's correct I don't believe fate is pre-determined and also true that I don't believe that there is some mystical reason as to why we are all here. With 80% of world classifying themselves as following some sort of religion - I would be in a minority. Perhaps if more people thought that death was the end, then life would be valued higher
@pomeroyj Never said anything about a definition, wasn't giving you one either. Also, I don't claim any religion, but I'm certainly not "ignorant" enough to rule out the possibility that there could be a god. Or the possibility that there isn't one. You see, "ignorant" people aren't open minded, they "lack sophistication". With that being said, I'm ending this conversation. Have a wonderful life.

Psychiatry was developed before 1900 in Germany to get rid of people complaining.First use of directed energy weapons can be seen in psychiatric literature from 1908, see Psychiatrie->Zur Klinik der Narkolepsie on my homepage. After murdering oponents in ww2,Psychiatry was relaunched in´45 to persecute+silence concentration camp survivors.

PiotrThePrimate 5 months ago
@jeshopk & Hornilope: Your conversation is hilarious. Dr. Breeding isn't saying that mental disorders don't exist, he's saying that they are largely subjective depending on who is doing the diagnosing. Which is true. A crucial criteria for all disorders in the DSM is a SIGNIFICANT IMPAIRMENT OF IMPORTANT AREAS OF LIFE i.e. work, social, physical health etc. So if you feel sad sometimes but it doesn't impair your ability to function "normally" you wouldn't be diagnosed with depression.
inadreambuzz33 5 months ago
@inadreambuzz33 Dr Breeding and his guru Szasz are in effect contending that mental illness is a social construction and they justify this position -- as Breeding is doing in this video -- with reference to nosological controversy. Szasz and his disciples appear to believe that variations and revisions of nosological practice over time demonstrates that mental illness is a social contruction. But it demonstrates no such thing....
PiotrThePrimate 5 months ago
PiotrThePrimate 5 months ago
... nosological controversy their is distress and suffering and it is this distress and suffering that modern psychiatry aims to reduce or eliminate. Nosology provides a conceptual framework that aids in the administration of medicine -- that is all. It doesn't create the distress and suffering -- that exists as matter of objective reality. Could psychiatric nosology be more objective? Certainly and it will eventually become so as the mysteries of the brain are understood.

@jeshopk The fact that you deny that anhedonia is real proves that you know to little about the subject to voice your opinion.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk SSRI's do not numb you or make you automatically happy, that is not how they work. They partially fix the chemical imbalance that depression has caused. Depression is extremly different from simply being sad.
There is no justification in comparing SSRI to real drugs since they aren't addictive or make you high.
Shit, during my biggest depression in my life I took no SSRI or other drugs/medicine because i was surrounded by retards like you.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk wow, you have ignored every single argument ive brought forward and still you continue to post? you just denied the existence of the biggest symptom of depression rofl.

me, along with anyone who has suffered from severe clinical depression, has experienced just that.

Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk no, that is not true anhedonia. anhedonia is the inability to enjoy anything.

so if im psychotic and beleive im messiah, that i can fly, and that i can talk to trees i guess im perfectly sane and dont need any help? theyre just different judgements on what is reality and what isnt, right?
indeed, extreme stress can cause hallucinations, but this is a psychosis as a result of that. Its a well known fact that stress can trigger mental illness. Thanks for proving my point. =)
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk once youre in the state of depression the production of serotonin has been severely reduced, which is what makes us respond less to thought and other stimulation then we usually would, thus anhedonia. (and lack of appetite etc)
this naive presumption just proves that youve never been through any real, severe mental health problems and youve never seen anyone who has up close.
your denial of the existance of these things and lack of will to properly define them wont change anything.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk what you explained arent specific symptoms of psychosis rofl, except for the hallucinations. which are not common if youre stressed, and people who have mental illness get it without the use of drugs.
being psychotic is being out of touch with reality and having lost control of your mind. you denying this being real doesnt change anything.
why dont you ask a person who has been psychotic and recovered wether or not they where sick in that period of time, and see what answer you get =)
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk and how do you explain psychosis?
go to a mental hospital and visit someone who is psychotic.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk oh, so because people are getting overdiagnosed and the dsm is unclear this means severe, clinical depression (with physical symptoms and a lack of activity in the brain area where serotonin is active that can be measured with a brain scan and is impossible to stimulate because the production of serotonin has come to a halt for a period of time) be is not real? =)
have fun living in your beautiful fantasy world with rainbows, chocolate rivers and no real severe mental health problems
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk and what if the reason for feeling like shit is a genetical mental illness, that makes you depressed every 6 months for no good reason?
oh yes i forgot, you deny that these things exist until i call them something else. because calling something something is an OPINION! D: D:
fact of the matter is the only reason youre able to beleive these retarded things is because youve never been through anything remotely as hard as depression, and you havent been manic or psychotic.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk the medication that is forced onto people is almost never anti-depressants, please give me a link with an example of such a case. theyre almost always antipsychotics.
reason for this the so called increased suicide rate is because it take 4-6 weeks for antidepressants to get any effect, and people who get this medication are already in huge suicide risk. there is no evidence that it is in fact the antidepressants that make these people suicidal.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk And also nobodys forcing anybody to take SSRI's. Its always up to the patient.
Unfortunately idiots like you keep the stigma of these medications alive and stop people who need to take them from taking them, making their depressions worse then was necessary and/or driving them to suicide.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk there is actually evidence that emotional reactions are automated to some degree. There is also evidence that when a person is far into depression or psychosis or mania they have less control over what they feel and think, a prime example being anhedonia in depression.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk They don't impair driving, they don't make you high, and they are EVIDENTLY NOT FUCKING ADDICTIVE. how hard is it to get this simple little fact into your mind?
try taking fucking 10 prozacs and i swear you will not get high, all it will do is make you feel like shit.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk That's a question of definition. Once again, youre resorting to pointing out what words I use as if it matters, intentionally missing my point because you know you are unable to counter them properly.
Ok, I'll use words your weak little stupid mind might be able to understand. Replace "disease" with "problem" and "cure" with "fix".
What will you resort to know, my young little retard? "but, but, anhedonia and depression arent problems, theyre just a different state of mind ;(". rofl
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk also i see that youre ignoring more and more things about our argument, like how ssri's for example are vastly different from alcohol and cocaine. pretty typical for someone getting raped in an internet argument.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk
and no, peoples different reactions are NOT the just the result of people thinking differently about things. that the most idiotic and ignorant thing you've said so far. peoples systems have different ways of reacting to stress, drugs, experiences, traumas, etc.
fuck, theres cold-hard evidence that supports this. google stuff written by arvid carlsson (nobel prize winner) for example.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk when somebody's psychotic theyre perception of the world is completely different, their thought patterns are changed, they have hallucinations of different kinds, they don't know what's real, etc. theyre essentially a completely different person. theyre not conciously rejecting reason.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk its not true, and even if it is, one person might go manic from one experience, the other one depressed, the other one psychotic, and the other one might brush it off as if it where nothing (including a bipolar person depending on where in their cycle they are).
how do you explain people going psychotic? good luck talking sense into someone who is rofl.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk And also please look at all of my posts here, where I've fucked up every single pathetic argument your young, inexperienced baby blue ass has thought of.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope And quit ignoring the fact that anti depressants, anti-psychotics and mood stabilizers are not addictive and dont make you high. =)
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk no, unfortunately, its not that simple. anhedonia is a symptom of depression that is caused by a lack of production of neurtransmitters.
the reason for somebody getting in this state does SOMETIMES have underlying psychological reasons, and even when they do they are never the entire reason. you can stop those if you recognize what it is that makes you reach depression, but once you are there, it is impossible to get out of it by merely thinking. You're helpless.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope
You haven't been severely depressed so you have no clue what it's like. Claiming that a severe, clinical depression can be thought away is ignorant and harmful.
Why dont you go a to a mental hospital and see how many people you can cure with your philosophy. =)
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk And also please fucking explain how psychotropic drugs are like alcohol and cocaine when most of them aren't addictive and cant make you high.
I asked this before but your ignorant dumbass ignored it because you have no proper arguments to counter it with. =) Not strange when your original statements where lies.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk No, they're not "just drugs". One sedates you and stops you from fixing your life, wrecks it even, the other one cures you from anhedonia and allows you to fix your life. And since anhedonia and other symptoms from depression are almost always the main root of the problems, it does in fact fix the problems.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk there's a big difference between symptoms that arise from stopping to take a medication to fast and actual addiction.
You need to be careful when you stop taking SSRI. You need to slowly take less and less over a long period of time. If you do it right you'll be fine.
Do I need to remind you of the fact that I've both fought real drug addiction and have stopped taking anti-depressants and came out fine on several occassions?
I base my opinion on real life experience and facts.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@jeshopk this despite the fact that the majority of these drugs arent addictive or recreational?
sleeping pills, many anxiolytics and to a lesser degree some adhd medicine is, however, and some of that medicine shouldnt be used outside of hospitals.
but with anti-depressants, anti-psychotics, mood stabilizers etc this is absolutely not the case. it's not addictive and it can't make you high.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope
please get som experience with psychotropic drugs (and recreational drugs) and educate yourself in the matter before you voice your opinion. I have plenty of experience with both, you do not. I'm also very well educated in the matter. =)
the medicines i mentioned does not suppress the problems, it helps you deal with them and allows you to function when you have an episode and is sick (manic, depressive, psychotic etc).
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope For example I know for a fact that my own depressions weren't triggered by anything specific other then me being manic prior to them. And I also know for a fact that if it wasn't for anti-depressants I would've killed myself a long time ago.
Hornilope 5 months ago
@Hornilope

Hornilope 5 months ago

A sick fuck known as the human race.

just because the deffinitions arent clear doesnt mean that ts not real, even though the way america in particular handles diagnosing people is often irresponsible.

i think the world should stop persecuting people for having health problems with their brain. a person cannot help if they are not well on top. thats the same as persecuting against somebody for having any kind of health problem.

Interesting points about how diseases are diagnosed and categories created in DSM, People are probably over diagnosed with a disease when they are simply maladjusted. But arguing that the mental health industry is a witchhunt is a little much. There are real neurological diseases that need real treatments. Overdiagnosis is a problem and too many categories is a problem but it is not a political witchhunt or simply an oppressive means of social control. get a grip.
PETE1967THE1987FOOT 7 months ago
@BigRed0BigBrother What needs to be done is that legislation needs to be put in place that demands empirical evidence be shown before something can be classified as a medical disorder instead of just having a bunch of people vote on it.
Only then will we be able to focus on those who are truly ill, stop letting criminals get away with crime under the excuse that they are "bipolar", and stop letting perfectly healthy people get medicated with drugs that have serious side effects.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago
@BigRed0BigBrother I also think it's absurd of you to claim that Psychiatrists have no feelings or emotions. Next you'll be telling me that psychiatrists are really alien lizards who dress up like humans....
Psychiatrists are people like everyone else, and they come in all shapes and sizes and with all kinds of motivations and beliefs. The problem is that the ones in power seem to be corrupt and greedy, and no one is doing anything to stop them from spreading lies and medicating health people.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago
@BigRed0BigBrother Wrong. I defend what the evidence supports. Clearly i just explained to you that i don't support either extreme, not yours or big pharma's. I don't believe there are even half as many psychological disorders as psychiatrists claim there are, but it's equally ridiculous to claim there are none. Just ask a schizophrenic who talks to people who aren't really there and sees rats instead of apples every time he looks at what are really apples.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago
@BigRed0BigBrother The problem with fanatics like you is it has to be all one way or the other. You're just the other extreme when it comes to psychiatry. Unlike those who diagnose everything as a psychological disorder, you don't believe that ANYTHING is a psychological disorder.
The truth is that there ARE a psychological disorders out there that can be empirically verified, but there aren't nearly as many as the DSM would have you believe.
Homosexuality is not one of them.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago

@BigRed0BigBrother Before you embarrass yourself any further why don't you look up the definition of what a psychological disorder is? Homosexuality does not impair day-to-day activity, motor skills, or cognitive ability. It does not inherently cause stress, and as such is NOT a mental disorder.
Schizophrenia on the other hand is a real, verifiable mental disorder.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago

ColdVolcano22 7 months ago
@BigRed0BigBrother The DSM keeps getting larger because psychiatry has been corrupted. Only a few psychological disorders exist and most of them aren't even severe. However, in order to earn more funding and seem more important than they are psychiatrists started diagnosing practically everything as a psychological disorder without empirical evidence that these so called disorders exist.
However, some of them do and can be empirically verified.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago
@BigRed0BigBrother You clearly have no idea what you're talking about and would rather fantasize about conspiracy nonsense for which you have no evidence of then get into a real discussion about why/how psychiatry has been corrupted.
There are a lot of homosexuals everywhere, and homosexuality develops the same way heterosexuality does. It is not a mental disorder by any means. I'm guessing you're a religious brainwashed zealot who hates gays and thus think they have a mental disorder.
ColdVolcano22 7 months ago

Dr Breeding is a Scientologist. His opinion should be discredited based on religious belief alone. Not to mention that this video was made for the psyche truth channel which is a marketing tool used by the church of scientology. I have mentioned this before but my comments seem to keep being deleted.... interesting.
pomeroyj 11 months ago
@pomeroyj And I suppose your beliefs should be credited more than his?
ortausti 11 months ago
@ortausti I haven’t created a YouTube channel and filmed "pseudo" experts speaking on a variety of subjects including the evils of psychiatry, for the sole purpose of supporting my religious beliefs. Including the belief that there is no such thing as mental illness. This is some evil stuff right here.. praying on week minds and hiding behind these so called public service videos - what utter crap. These people are worse than the psychiatrists they are calling out.
pomeroyj 11 months ago
@pomeroyj Non of that has anything to do with the question I asked. What you recognize as evil is actualy the one thing that keeps us human. When it's eliminated "probably by psychiatrists" you'll see first hand what evil truely is. When humans are no longer "human" they will all be subject to the eternal flame, that is undoubtably a fact. It's interesting how even the most religious of humans today indirectly worship the serpant. You don't even know you're doing it do you?
ortausti 11 months ago
@ortausti I'm sorry this might come as a bit of a shock to you. I am an atheist, so I'm not too concerned with running my life according to a 2000 year old camp fire story about serpants, devils and magic used to make the children behave. In answer to your question: I'm not pushing a belief or religion. I'm simply highlighting the fact the Dr Breeding is not doing us public service - he is serving himself and the cult of Scientology a fact that they seem to not want us to know.
pomeroyj 11 months ago
@pomeroyj It's funny you speak of stories to make the children behave. Yet you've been programmed so easily to obey. Even when ninety percent of the people say no to something, their representitive will say yes. Why? In reality what he represents is obedience without question. To make his wallet fatter. Nothing more. What this Dr. represents, I don't realy care about. Athiest or not you know the difference between good and evil. Don't ignore recognition. Is it possible life is bigger than you?
ortausti 11 months ago
@ortausti Nationalism, ideology, religious extremism, and many other ways of thinking and living obscure our capacity for calm, rational self-reflection and self-critical thought. Humans have empathy - in a nutshell this is how we develop our sense of good and bad - we are not programmed to have empathy it's inherent. A 2 day old baby displays empathy - whether it's been christened or not - Monkeys, puppies and dolphins all display empathy. It's not the meaning of life - it's just a fact
pomeroyj 11 months ago
@pomeroyj critical thought huh? Don't care, can't argue with ignorance, it just ignores things. Only a coward is incapable of thinking there is a possibility that life is bigger than they are, and that not everything is in their control. That might mean something somewhere has their fate planned out for them. Cowards hate this, so they don't beleive in anything. Only that they are the center of everything, and are in control of their own fate. It terrifies them to think otherwise.
ortausti 11 months ago
@ortausti the deffinition of ignorance is to be uneducated, unaware, or uninformed not to ignore something. Not knowing this would place you in that category. It's correct I don't believe fate is pre-determined and also true that I don't believe that there is some mystical reason as to why we are all here. With 80% of world classifying themselves as following some sort of religion - I would be in a minority. Perhaps if more people thought that death was the end, then life would be valued higher
pomeroyj 11 months ago
@pomeroyj Never said anything about a definition, wasn't giving you one either. Also, I don't claim any religion, but I'm certainly not "ignorant" enough to rule out the possibility that there could be a god. Or the possibility that there isn't one. You see, "ignorant" people aren't open minded, they "lack sophistication". With that being said, I'm ending this conversation. Have a wonderful life.
