  • Do you have a video on grooming the sanitary area?

  • Nice dog

  • Great video! Thank u!!!

  • Cute Pom u should name it Pom Pom

  • Great informative video. I now do this at home with my pom. =]

  • i want a pomerania like taffy but male lol , u dont have a information of a male pomeranian? taffy is so cute and u work is very well :D

  • @ashbabeh25 Taffy is Spayed, but it is common for any female to lose some coat during season... ;) Not sure about males having fluffier coat... I would say just make sure to find a reputable breeder with the sir and dam present ;)

  • How'd you get the pom to sit while grooming? My dog keeps lying down. T__T He got the ugliest hair cut today. T__T

  • GORGEOUS POM and very useful video. Do you have any other resources that I could go to? I have three Poms and am always looking for good groomers....have decided to learn to groom them myself.

  • Thank you so much, this was soo usefull! I have a cream colored boy pomeranian and his fur is not as thick as hers but I was wondering how I should comb him properly! Thanks!

  • my pomeranian doesn't have such a full coat..she's not flat but she her hair doesn't stand up like that..so its hard to make her look like a fluffy ball lol..she kinda looks like the pom in your calendar in the video. How can i make her more fluffy???

  • ...is there a specific age.. when you should start grooming a pom

..?... or is it just to keep them neat...?... lol....I feel retarted asking.....

  • @PatchesandHyperlover You should start brushing, bathing, and trimming your Pom as soon as you get her home if you are going to do it yourself, if you are taking her/him to a groomer then start as soon as your dog has had all the necessary puppy shots. ;)

  • My pom isn't behavied like that one in the video. He'll get mad and bite me >.<

He's about 9 months btw. He hates it when I need to give him a bath and groom him.

  • @SHNUKUMSBby Well you should work on that because if, at that age, he bites you your gonna have big behavior issues later... this is just an advice anyway. But your dog should always respect you if he bites you you have to show him that's its not a behavior you accept. Cesar the dog whisperer is an excellent tv show if you want to see some advices on how to communicate that to your dog.

I work part time in grooming and I see way too many dog who own their owner.

  • at 1:10 the tog fur looks like a poodles head

  • at 1:10 the tog fur looks like a poodles eye

  • most show pom's dont get comb down!

  • @cjboi204 FYI... this isn't a show dog, and I never said it was. This is a pet Pomeranian and I made this video for pet owners or new groomers, whomever would LIKE to see how to trim a pet Pomeranian. ;)

  • omg, I wish my pom is that easy to groom ! Thanks for the great info.

  • omg. this video shows us the downside of such an unnaturally long and thick fur! The dog snorted extremely, without any physical exertion! What a poor kreatur!

  • You're an excellent groomer, thanks for the information!

  • What size blade do you use when trimming the sanitary areas?

  • @mypillowx3 I use a 10/15 blades on sanitary areas. ;)

  • My groomer removed my Pom's undercoat this summer when she gave him a teddy bear cut. I hope the under coat grows back by winter. I didn't ask her to do this and I'm really ticked off at her. In your experience will the undercoat grow back. My Pom is a male and 4yrs old. Thank you, Your videos are great!!-- Nikki

  • Thanks so much! I never knew about the pads part I just got done brushing my pom but she still looks ragedy so this helped alot!

  • How much do you trim off the 'sanitary area' underneath?

Since I only have old fashioned scissors how much fur would I be leaving there?

Im getting a pom in a month or so but im still figuring out the logistics of the trimming. Thanks

  • @republicc101 Well I use an extremley short blade for the sanitary areas. In my opinion the shorter the better in those places because you want them to be and stay clean and free of urine and feces. I don't recommend using scissors but if you have to then be very very careful and try to get it fairly short.

  • @republicc101

    Thankyou for the fast reply.

I think im going to take him to the groomer though, Much safer option!

  • love the grooming video where are you located?

  • @necolieas Springfield Missouri, and thanks! :)

  • What blade do you use for trimming the feet?

  • @valerieras1 For the inside of the paw pads I use a 40 blade.. it is very short and is the safest blade for inbetween the pads and such. ;)

  • Hi is this grooming salon in your home and how many dogs a day do u usually get done. These videos are great keep up the good work!

  • @Lolita041987 Yes it is my home. Usually I can do around 5 a day at home.. used to be able to do about 10 at a groom shop though. ;) Thanks!!

  • I groomed my first Pomeranian yesterday and I know exactly what you mean when you talk about LEAD BUTT !!!......LOL

  • Taffy is about as fluffy as my Sara-Bear

  • This is really helpful for me. Thanks! Have fun in Florida, Taffy!

  • @omgletmeinokay Glad you liked it. ;) Thanks!
