In order for some one to take off Kyle's ring, he would have had to give up completely. Now, if Slade just tried to pull the ring off.. he'd get an ass kicking. He had to test his will power by breaking his hand, thus he was occupied with that and couldn't take the ring off. Not to mention this happened over a matter of seconds.
I remember reading this comic and going "Wow... He is freaking awesome." It is interesting to see Slade work. If he had followed up on Green Arrow before attempting to control the ring, he might have killed them all.

Green arrow has managed to fight deadshot and fire a few arrows at him despite bullets are flying around. He has pretty good timing in terms of loading his arrows. It was a good fight I just think the writer over did it with him taking down zatanna, flash and green lantern.

@J3k1d0 it's funny how often Deathstroke and Deadpool are compared, and it's obvious Deadpool was a nod to his DC counterpart, but besides the name pun, and some similarities in their powers, the two characters are still vastly different imo. Marvel borrowed from Deathstroke to create Deadpool, but I like what they did with the character. It's because of this that I've always like Marvel more, they can flesh out a character like nobodies business. ;P

Deathstroke stabbing the Flash is ridiculous in my opinion. With the Flash's super fast reflexes and super speed, Deathstroke should've been destroyed before the fight even began. Then again, I am just a Flash fanboy and don't know too much about Deathstroke's speed, but seeing Flash get stabbed like that really irritates me.

@TheBrownFlash deathstroke has one of the most advanced minds in the dc universe. If he is going to assassinate someone (marksman), his mind will calculate how far the target is, how long the bullet will take to get there and the wind direction and speed. and his timing is almost perfect. if he can think 10 steps ahead of the flash and predict where he will move next he could kill him.
@supernover8781 But Flash should've seen it coming. From Flash's perspective, everything is slow, so he shouldn't have ran into the blade. It's pretty much like a normal person seeing a cliff but still proceeds to walk and falls off and dies. I'm guessing the writer forgot to include Flash's perception of time, or just needed the Flash to die in some strange way so that the story can proceed.
@TheBrownFlash You forget at which angle flash was watching Deathstroke. He hardly moved at all while he turned his blade, and even though Flash processes light faster than us which makes time seem slow, his body does not react on a dime. There is also the possibility that Flash simply over estimated his speed and didn't think of how predictable he is. Flash makes these mistakes all the time in his own comics and Justice League appearances. People underestimate Deathstroke too much.
@J3k1d0 I guess you're right with Flash over estimating his power all the time, which explains why his rogue gallery is so weak compared to others. I don't underestimate Deathstroke, he's one of my favorite villains, and I know what he's capable of. I just couldn't stand the fact that Flash lost so easily, but then you pointed out his cockiness and now it all makes sense to me.
@J3k1d0 I disagree. The flash possesses FTL speeds and reaction timing. You have to remember that DS had prep time, finding all loop holes within the battle, and predicting several outcomes before the fight has even started. So in a sense, DS saw the flash coming before the flash even thought to blitz DS. DS timing is also on the boarder line of perfection which allowed him to dodge random gunfire, shoot kid flash in the knees and in this case, stab the flash.

@J3k1d0 Deadpool and Deathstroke look alike and that was the original joke but that's about it the characters could not be more different IMO Deathstroke is more like a clone of Captain America They're both soldiers who drank a super serum, their outfits are very similar scalemail armor, flared gloves, fold-over boots, and something that appears to be a short-sleeve mid-drift shirt over another shirt, if he turned good and traded his guns for a shield he'd be the Cap.

1. Both characters are mercenary's and possess exceptional reflexes and almost inhuman fighting skills.
2. Banning Tasky's skullmask and cloak, there are definite similarities to their costumes.
They come from the same creator who has a distinct style, but when it comes to personality and fighting ethic, they couldn't be more far apart. Taskmaster simply has to observe a move to know it, but does he know when to use it? No, this translates into his natural fighting ability which is above average, but not a master's. Because Task' never really "trains" he will most likely stay at this level of a 'Jack of all Trades'. Slade on the other hand learned all his moves.
@J3k1d0 the original deadpool is very different from the current version and as time moves on he becomes less and less like deathstroke. deadpool has made his personality and character his own... deathstroke doesn't dwell there anymore.

Especially when dealing with Marvel, as they tend to whore out their characters to any media product available, even selling out to disney. Deadpool is a skilled mercenary with an amazing healing favorite. Deathstroke is a master of combat, experienced mercenary, and grand master tactician with a smaller increase in recovery time from injuries. Deadpool is a fun read,but when it comes don to fighting he is more similar to Jason Todd.

Yeah they have multiple encounters. The general verdict is that Slade is as strong as Batman is in every way but he gets an edge with increased brain power. So if a fight drags on usually Slade will have time to beat him. However Batman has help with side kicks so it's situational.

I would love to see any other villan with no real powers ie. lasers, flight etc. try to do that!
Deathstroke is the most badass character to say he took down elongated man, flash, zatanna, hawkman, green arrow, black canary, the atom, hawkman (again), and green lantern and he only got hit about once by green arrow when deathstroke was "testing a theory".

Deathstroke stabbing the Flash is ridiculous in my opinion. With the Flash's super fast reflexes and super speed, Deathstroke should've been destroyed before the fight even began. Then again, I am just a Flash fanboy and don't know too much about Deathstroke's speed, but seeing Flash get stabbed like that really irritates me.

@TheBrownFlash deathstroke has one of the most advanced minds in the dc universe. If he is going to assassinate someone (marksman), his mind will calculate how far the target is, how long the bullet will take to get there and the wind direction and speed. and his timing is almost perfect. if he can think 10 steps ahead of the flash and predict where he will move next he could kill him.

@supernover8781 But Flash should've seen it coming. From Flash's perspective, everything is slow, so he shouldn't have ran into the blade. It's pretty much like a normal person seeing a cliff but still proceeds to walk and falls off and dies. I'm guessing the writer forgot to include Flash's perception of time, or just needed the Flash to die in some strange way so that the story can proceed.

@TheBrownFlash You forget at which angle flash was watching Deathstroke. He hardly moved at all while he turned his blade, and even though Flash processes light faster than us which makes time seem slow, his body does not react on a dime. There is also the possibility that Flash simply over estimated his speed and didn't think of how predictable he is. Flash makes these mistakes all the time in his own comics and Justice League appearances. People underestimate Deathstroke too much.

@J3k1d0 I guess you're right with Flash over estimating his power all the time, which explains why his rogue gallery is so weak compared to others. I don't underestimate Deathstroke, he's one of my favorite villains, and I know what he's capable of. I just couldn't stand the fact that Flash lost so easily, but then you pointed out his cockiness and now it all makes sense to me.

@J3k1d0 I disagree. The flash possesses FTL speeds and reaction timing. You have to remember that DS had prep time, finding all loop holes within the battle, and predicting several outcomes before the fight has even started. So in a sense, DS saw the flash coming before the flash even thought to blitz DS. DS timing is also on the boarder line of perfection which allowed him to dodge random gunfire, shoot kid flash in the knees and in this case, stab the flash.

@TheBrownFlash yeah i love the flash. but you gotta respect a good villian when you see one. the flash shouldn't have died like that, but i guess deathstroke out smarted him. the flash did come up from behind, but like i said, deathstrokes timing is on the border line of perfection. to the flash, everything is slow, but when a sword is plundged in front of him at the last second its hard to react with the determination to hit DS.

@J3k1d0 Deadpool and Deathstroke look alike and that was the original joke but that's about it the characters could not be more different IMO Deathstroke is more like a clone of Captain America They're both soldiers who drank a super serum, their outfits are very similar scalemail armor, flared gloves, fold-over boots, and something that appears to be a short-sleeve mid-drift shirt over another shirt, if he turned good and traded his guns for a shield he'd be the Cap.

1. Both characters are mercenary's and possess exceptional reflexes and almost inhuman fighting skills.

They come from the same creator who has a distinct style, but when it comes to personality and fighting ethic, they couldn't be more far apart. Taskmaster simply has to observe a move to know it, but does he know when to use it? No, this translates into his natural fighting ability which is above average, but not a master's. Because Task' never really "trains" he will most likely stay at this level of a 'Jack of all Trades'. Slade on the other hand learned all his moves.

Especially when dealing with Marvel, as they tend to whore out their characters to any media product available, even selling out to disney. Deadpool is a skilled mercenary with an amazing healing favorite. Deathstroke is a master of combat, experienced mercenary, and grand master tactician with a smaller increase in recovery time from injuries. Deadpool is a fun read,but when it comes don to fighting he is more similar to Jason Todd.

Yeah they have multiple encounters. The general verdict is that Slade is as strong as Batman is in every way but he gets an edge with increased brain power. So if a fight drags on usually Slade will have time to beat him. However Batman has help with side kicks so it's situational.
