For all the Hetalia fans out there, who thinks this song would be great for England and America during the revolutionary war? Moses as America and Rameses as England, anyone?
@OokamiTaishou he he not surprising. Pantheons may refer to a set of god/gods or supernatural forces within one philosophy or religon so what i was saying is that everybody is an atheist at some point due to the fact that everyone reject atleast on way of looking at faith or the universe in favor for another. This refers to the comment below saying don't reject any possibility EXCEPT ATHEISM.

God is real right? I mean... (sigh) can somebody help me out? (by that I mean the people who DO believe in god, I need advice from them) I'm a christian and my family is christian, my grandma goes to church every sunday and my aunt's family is so devoted god that none of their children have watched Harry Potter because they don't believe in magic (I respect that and I think they're way of life is honorable). My family isn't all that devoted though
we don't go to church so often, my mom says she doesn't like that because in churches people have some expectation and they don't want you to believe in stuff like the theory of evolution (I do believe in that, who says god didn't guide us from monkeys to humans, he could do that!). So lately I've been feeling that I'm getting farther away from god, that I'm starting to believe in the probability that there is not god
Whenever mom mentions god I feel weirdly awkward and I don't get the urge to pray so much anymore. I pray three times every night, but it's a mechanical thing to the point in which I repeat the same things in each prayer (The first two don't matter, but I have to pray the third one when the lights go out in my room and not get up, if I do get up I have to pray again as the light goes off)
I feel like when I pray it's like washing my face before I go to sleep, I can't sleep if I don't. And while it does make me feel good when I do it and that I have a little book with stories about devotion to god that I read every night, I feel like I don't believe in him as much as I should. I want to believe, I want to be able to feel like I really mean it. What can I do?
hey I'm agnostic and I love this movie. I always have because of the beautiful music and hey, it's an entertaining movie. Plus Hans Zimmer is a badass :)
@Lionlvr4evr35 Same here. I'm an atheist and saw this in the theaters twice, bought the soundtrack, and am back over a decade later still loving it. It's an amazingly well-made, fun, heart-wrenching movie.
The heartbreak of Rrameses for his brother, his only friend, shows through and I literally feel the heaviness of their heart and I cry because he doesnt want to hurt Moses but wants to guilt him into coming back..its so moving....</3
Wow, it's amazing how people deny that any of this story even happened. Could you imagine if 1,000 years from now people were like, "Oh ya, I read an article about how there's no evidence left that WWII ever happened, so it didn't". Humanity will always go to incredible lengths to try an build themselves up above God.
The pounding drums that sound like a heartbeat, the chanting and the swirling sound when the locusts are announced.this sends chills down my spine , simply amazing
Okay, so clearly we can't come to a peaceful conclusion about religion here, so let's all just SHUT THE FUCK UP and enjoy the music, eh?
But clearly, arguing over who's right is more important than enjoying an absolutely amazing piece of music, which is probably why this was posted in the first place.
Did anyone notice how on 2:19 the whole choir sings "Thus saith the..." but only the high voices end singing "...lord!" I find exactly such details in this piece amazing! :)
Oh for heaven's sake. Just stop debating about it. You will never know how the universe was started because you werent there when either God made the universe or when it simply "just happened" because of some scientific equations consisting of countless guessed variables. Even if you did find out how, not that it would matter, you would still not know WHY and that's because it's supposed to be up to you. Get a life!
@Pichicha123 1. Ew, No! I am simply someone who prefers some psychological distance from organized religions. I have read the bible and I believe jesus' teachings have alot of wisdom and insight. I have also participated in charity but I do not attend church because I don't need to hear some preachers little "interpretation" of anything i am perfectly capable of reading for myself in the bible. Atheism or any concept of simply immediately rejecting any idea is the mark of a fool. For example...
@Pichicha123 2. I do believe in greater beings but I doubt very much that God is anything like how the church describes him nor that he takes any active role in our affairs. I believe that we should do our best to improve the world ourselves by creating our own doctrines, rules and strategies using written works like the Bible, Talmud, Tora, Quran, Hagakure and other books of knowledge as templates for our own beliefs in what is right, what is wrong, what rules to follow, and which to break...
@Pichicha123 3 I suppose that my own "religion" could be compared to buddhism in that sense. The talmud for example says that wherever you look theres something to be seen. The prince of egypt for example is a maginificent story with a wealth of important knowledge; do any of our own beliefs (regardless of what they are) change that? Certainly not. In layman's terms, "Slavery is bad" is a lesson we all could benefit from but it's alot more complicated than that. As for the existence of God...
@Pichicha123 4. Beliefs are in essence what we WANT to believe. If you think God exists, then he (or she) does. To be "Real" is such a relative term. Science explains that the universe is infinite. If the universe is truly infinite then surely it includes everything that the limited human brain could ever concieve, and since we have concieved greater beings it means that God exists (scientific types prefer the terms "Dimensional" or "quantum" physics to my own clumsy summary, Google those terms)
@Pichicha123 5 For your problem, I recommend you wait for your own beliefs on this subject to fully develop (mine took years). Ask yourself what YOU believe and remember to always keep your mind open. Don't reject any possibility EXCEPT ATHEISM.
Did anybody else find it sad that a person lecturing on someone else's supposed stupidity can't find the time in their busy lives to spell correctly and use proper grammar. Clearly someone whose intelligence is so 'obviously superior' has no need to prove it using the english language...
@MrRetlav I'm sorry, who are you? you come out of nowhere, horn in on an old argument amongst other youtubers and start talking shit about both sides. If you wanted the athiest to leave me alone to my alleged stupidity, why didn't you just leave me alone? BTW thanks for being alright with my beliefs it makes me feel about as good as Tevya from fiddler when the deputy called him a "jew dog"
@mrdropkicker1 The mainly reason i entered you're conversation was because you're pulling retarded arguments of how "God created humans and the Universe", disregarding the millions of evolutionary years that went across humanity itself.
I do not have any problem with your're beliefs, but the only thing i expect is for people like you, not saying stupid, retarded stuff like that.
God did not create humans, the sun or the universe. Science has proven the reason of each and every existence!
@MrRetlav REALLY? Science has a proven reason for every existance? Umm perhaps I will explain some scientific principals to you. There is something called the domino effect where one event leads to another. If you look at a chain of events you will see that it has to have a starting point and there is no way an explosion came from nowhere out of nothing and created. Something had to have caused the big bang, as in an unmoved mover.
@MrRetlav And just to make peace so there's no more arguing, Catholics highly believe in science. Catholic monks ran the first universities. It's just that it can't supercede our religion. It is morally Acceptable to believe in evolution but the soul. (That thing that along with our intellect separates us from the animals) cannot evolve. I have no problem with scientologists so lets just bury the hatchet. That way I may convert you yet ;)
@mrdropkicker1 Oh no, don't get me wrong... my parents are Catholics, i am baptized and i did the "first vonvertion" (religious cerimony). But due to the amount of people that used religion to they're stupidity, and the amount of Lies and plotholes the religion itself has, i've decided to abandone it.
And Since i belive it's arrogant to life a fullfilling life, withouth beliefs or goals, ive decided to adopt buddhism. Combined with science and evolution, it's a uplifting balance...
Does anyone else find reading all the comment arguments on here HILARIOUS? I mean... I know what I believe, but I'm not going to go on YouTube to find people who disagree with me.
@fineIdare Personally I feel it's sad to see people talking about something that has as little to do with the content except it was written for a biblical story turned animated movie, any more of this pointless argument and im going to
remove every single comment i see about the existence of God...
@fineIdareyou Exactly! I believe what I believe, and will gladly share with people who WANT to hear, but I refuse to shove it down people's throats, or start shit just to argue. All that does is piss people off. Let's just enjoy the bloody song and stop being retards.
@mrdropkicker1 I can say what I like - freedom of speech. It is hardly hate speech as it isn't even proven that god was/is a real being, and don't you dare start talking to me about having no hope. I have BEEN there, and struggled out of it stronger, all on my own.
I want moses' staff! Since you refuse to let my friends go from detention, I pollute thy coffee with pestilence, and rain burning hail on the school! Frogs will flood from the lockers and your firstborn class pets will be taken from you!
My neck broke from the awesomeness of this song. My head fell of when I heard it in the movie. The rest of my body instantaneously imploded when I found out Hans Zimmer did this.
@Vondelene the guy who composed this was in his late 40s early 50s, I'm 16 it's brilliant music non the less and shouldn't be disregarded because its not the norm, this is actually pretty mature music if it helps, very hard job to evoke emotion through sound. :)
This score is so successful in communicating the story, and still capturing the emotion of what it would have been like. "I send my scourge . . . . ." "Thus saith the Lord"

@fineIdareyou Exactly! I believe what I believe, and will gladly share with people who WANT to hear, but I refuse to shove it down people's throats, or start shit just to argue. All that does is piss people off. Let's just enjoy the bloody song and stop being retards.

Only Hans Zimmer could have done this. The man could make Mozart tear up...

@mrdropkicker1 I am just telling the truth. What does it matter whether I'm being logical or not when religious people are the illogical ones?
FrazzleAndTheWolf 8 months ago
@mrdropkicker1 I can say what I like - freedom of speech. It is hardly hate speech as it isn't even proven that god was/is a real being, and don't you dare start talking to me about having no hope. I have BEEN there, and struggled out of it stronger, all on my own.

The way Rameses says "then let my heart be hardened" was just soo intense, another reason why I love this song

@FrazzleAndTheWolf When you don't diss it.

@272arshan Ah. The old "do as we say and you'll go to heaven" argument.

I want moses' staff! Since you refuse to let my friends go from detention, I pollute thy coffee with pestilence, and rain burning hail on the school! Frogs will flood from the lockers and your firstborn class pets will be taken from you!
(btw, I didn't actually get a detention)

My neck broke from the awesomeness of this song. My head fell of when I heard it in the movie. The rest of my body instantaneously imploded when I found out Hans Zimmer did this.

Vondelene 9 months ago 25
@Vondelene the guy who composed this was in his late 40s early 50s, I'm 16 it's brilliant music non the less and shouldn't be disregarded because its not the norm, this is actually pretty mature music if it helps, very hard job to evoke emotion through sound. :)

This score is so successful in communicating the story, and still capturing the emotion of what it would have been like. "I send my scourge . . . . ." "Thus saith the Lord"
