i heard it was a good one, but I also heard rumors that the wheel, plastic, and the anntena thing is EXTREMELY BRITTLE. One false move and that cage is garbage. But if you be careful with the parts and not grab them like it's the end of the world, then this cage would be EPIC.

They are so cute! My son bought one & while visiting his gma's, they went outside and her cat's got the cage knocked over. He got loose and for 2 days we looked for him. Long story short, I went to the petstore and got him another. It was one of his littermates...3 days within buying the 1st one. They get along great and sleep together curled up. Thinking of getting this cage. I wondered how the wheel worked at the top.

@xmelax37 I have this cage for my gerbils. i wouldn't advise it for gerbils, since they chew on the slide, but hamsters might be okay. except they like to use the wheel for un wheel-like purposes such as nesting and um, other stuff. ew. the crittertrail 2-level is great, though.

you can get two hamsters of the same gender unless u want o breed then a lot of stuff u need to learn and the two hamsters have two be sisters or brothers and if not they will kill each other!!!!

OKay i had this cage for one of my hampster and well....i guess u can say he was lazy because i had about 3 wheels in his cage because he made each wheel his speical little bed so he had 3 beds...You know that cotton stuff?? well i put it in his cage and he would splitt it up for each of his beds...oh and thats not counting the built in bed thing and he would fall asleep in the tubes...

From my experience, they cohabitate for a little while when young but when they turn adolescent they tend to get territorial and start to fight. We ususally cohabitate them when they first come home but after a month or so we give them their own cages but keep them side by side so they won't be lonely ^_^

It depends on the breed. Never house more than one Syrian in the same cage, but dwarf varieties can live together in same sex pairs, from the same litter or not.

I had 2 hamsters, and they would use teamwork to get one up on top of the wheel. it was near a wall, and one hamster would climb the cage wall a little bit and wedge himself between the wall and wheel, while the other one ran so the one getting on top could climb/ride it up. it was hilarious cus they would fall off from too much spinning 80% of the time.
