  • Thanks for the help!!!

Can I practice this on my trampoline?

And if I can do u have any tips on how to land on ur hands cause I keep falling onto my back and getting a headache.

  • Thanks for the help!!

Can I practice on a trampoline?

And if I can i can do drill 1 but when I try to jump back I keep falling on my back. Do u have any tips on how I can land on my hands?

  • Can you do a video on how to a backbend ? I can do the bridge kickover but I cant fall back because I get scared ? So can you make a video like that for me please (: Thanks -3

  • @AmylaTondini yeaah i'll try to haha

  • thanks! you're amazing at these! :D So, I am learning it right now, and sometimes like 1 out of 7 times i try i can do it . but sometimes i cant force my legs over, and they get bent :( any tips?

  • @TwoMusicGirlz jump really hard and lock out your legs! also work on core and arm strength

  • When u do your back bend or backhand spring do u start with your feet together? If you do do u have to?

  • @JNBuff i would learn with your feet together but if you have to spread them apart to learn its ok. but don't try step while you sit until you get more advanced

  • you're sooo good! hey did you go to a gym to learn this?! or just yourself at home? how can we just jump back?!

  • @TwoMusicGirlz i learned it at home, but i perfected it at the gym. to just jump back think of landing on your hands instead of your feet - thats what i did haha

  • Guess I gotta go learn a kickover now...

  • Could you do a video for how to do a backtuck?

  • @Liljeepers10 i learned back tuck with a spot but i'll try haha

  • how do you not undercut its sooooo hard

  • @NSM171999 jump back reaaaallly hard and far.

  • this vid is sooooooo helpful, i mean it is the best bhs vid that i have EVER seen it is just GREAT!!!!!!

  • I have my back handspring on a trampoline without a spot do you think I should try it by myself on the ground?

  • @Barbiegirl2s try wit a adult or someone to be there just in case! but good job!

  • @Barbiegirl2s yeah definitely! you'll probably at worst land hands and knees if you can do it on the trampoline but make sure you still have a mat when you do it on the ground

  • what do u do if u are scared when u jump on your hands

  • @ilovemyreborns1583 i just think about like if you are in olypics and u are trying to get a ten and i just shift thoughts to that

  • @BlueMartin4453 haha that's creative idea!

  • @ilovemyreborns1583 just go for it. think of if you want to get to tucks/layouts/fulls etc you have to be able to do this

  • I can do all the drills in the video already. Still don't have enough guts to do a back handspring yet though. I'm scared I might break my neck :S Just wondering how was your first try doing a back handspring? were your arms bent or anything?

  • @isaidhellnaww they were pretty bent my 1st one haha. but i made it over cause i kicked my legs really hard. and i don't think you'll get hurt if you lock your arms really tight and jump hard backwards :) but make sure you have enough cushioning!

  • hey do you know how to get the confidence to do a bhs i used 2 do one but now im too scared :(

  • @SuperKhani just try it once. maybe work on arm strength or ask someone to stand there if it makes you more comfortable

  • never mind i did it

  • how do i jump without being scared

  • Okay so I've known how to do my round off backhandspring for about a month now, but for the last week when I've been trying to do it I just fall on my head. Does anyone have any tips to help me?

  • @kaseygurl13 i dont know what ur saying hahaha

  • @kaseygurl13 if one hand is facing a different direction from one, you'll fall on your head. also if you rebound up instead of back you'll probably fall on your head too.

  • i can almost do this! i just need some tips on keeping my arms from bending... i keep hitting my head any tips?

  • @crazymarzi6900 i did the same thing thing you need to lock youre elbows really hard

  • @allycat0141 kk thx

  • I didn't use a matress, just a BUNCH of blankets. It works really well!!! Thx!

  • @softballandtumbler yeah that works too haha! as long as you have enough cushioning

  • haha thanks! I think I'm going to do all-star next year. And thanks, I've actually almost got my back handspring from this video!

  • @IcarlyIheart that's great! and you'll love allstars! :)

  • this really helped a lot and this is the best video of bhs but im still really scared to do one! what should i do??? i am ssoooooooooo close but i just cant jump back im too scared!!

  • @lizie555 just go for it once and it gets easier after that :)

  • your video really helps thx

  • @imStarskyy that's awesomee!

  • This really helped i tried to do a backhadnspring in school today because the teacher toaught me to just jump back into it with loads of crashmats and spotters but after seeing this this tooks much safer and a better way of learning it cann i jst ask how can i learn the kickover with two legs quickly do you have any tips because im doing gcse's now i have to do flic in one of my routines and i have about 1-2 months to learn it properely maybe less ? help?

  • @welshgymnast123 i'm not really sure what your asking haha

  • @americancheerqueen they want to know how to learn the kickover with two legs quickly and she/he only have 1-2 months to learn it properly

  • @welshgymnast123 go in to a backwalkover and when you get to the top put your lehs together and land hope it helps

  • @TheAllstarcheerqueen Thankyouu so muchh i get what you mean im going to try this next time im up the gym :)

  • this was likeee the best video on bhs your a godesss u shld upload moreee of em

  • @babiecakess123 haha thank youu :)

  • Omg you make it so easyer with steps and I can not kick over before but now I can plus getting there on back hand spring so thanks thanks so so much XD !!!!!!!!!:) !!

  • @MsEmily7890 thank you!! thats great!

  • how high do; you jump in a back handspring

  • @TheFareBearTv you don't really jump high in a back handspring or else it becomes more like a whip. i actually don't really know haha it's just whatever feels comfortable to you :)

  • You're a cheerleader right? I'm on my middle schools cheer team but I only have a back kickover&walkover, cartwheel, and roundoff. Could you tell me what's required for high school cheer squads? I heard it's A LOT more competitive. And do you suggest doing all-star next year (8th grade) instead of school, where I don't learn any tumbling?

  • @IcarlyIheart it depends on your high school. some high schools aren't that advanced, they're novice in the competition devision. and then there are some that require alot of skill. but if you want to do freshman or JV it shouldn't be as hard to make :) and i personally like all stars better than school cheer, but if you just want to learn tumbling then maybe you should just do school cheer and then take tumbling classes on the side. hope this helped, message me if you have other questions :)

  • u r my tumbling role model i need to know how to do a areal now

  • @allycat0141 you mean an aerial? practice alot of one handed cartwheels and do them really quickly. also get a running start. hope this helps!

  • thank you for teaching me a back handspring

  • @allycat0141 your welcome! haha

  • I just made a video on a back handspring and i was wondering if it was any good can you please watch it and comment if you thought it helped :)

  • i can do my back walkover but im so scared to jump in the air and go backwards, what should i do?

  • @caseybaby1011 the first time jump when your hands are like just a few inches from the ground. and then maybe next time jump when there a foot above. and so on and so forth until you can jump right at the beginning

  • do you think that i could get onto my bed and sit like ankle to bottom then i kinda do like a backbend and btw i did this and lol i hit my leg lol so im gonna be more careful lolz

  • @AJB090299 noo don't do back handsprings on your bed! if you can't do a consistent backbend from standing up then work on those first before trying back handspring. otherwise you'll get nowhere and then you'll have to come back to them later lol

  • @americancheerqueen no no no i can do a back bend AMAZINGLY well and ive done almost all ur tasks and i still cant do it cuz im scared that ima break my neck

  • Ok so. I can do a back bend kickover and i dont have a mat. also im really afraid that im gonna fall and break a bone so wat should i do?

  • @AJB090299 maybe stack up alot of blankets or do it on a mattress!

  • I just did the drills as u said and now I can do it in 5 mins it only took me about 3 practices xxxxx

  • @GraceAggyRuby ahhh that's awesome!

  • Your very helpful!!! Thanks!!!!! :)

  • @01celines thank you!

  • and to add onto that last comment.... Im very flexible, but idk

  • I have a BIG problem. I can do my backbend kickover but only on a ymnastics pad, I tryed on the ground but all I do is fall. Im a beginner so Im not good a this stuff. please help??

  • @glassashley maybe your hands are turned the wrong way or your legs are too stiff. i'm just guessing lol. but maybe try it on the sting mat or something before moving to the floor and see if it helps! also work on strength and back stretching.

  • when did you learn how to do your backhandsprings? and how long did it take you?

  • @isj4710 3 or 4 years ago i think. and it took me about 4 or 5 days to be able to do it but about a year to like perfect everything, like getting good rebounds out of it and series etc.

  • i still cant do it:\

  • @alexremains awww

  • I really can't see the difference between the first back kickover (the regular one) and the second one (the one with the hop). What is the difference?

And, BTW, this video is awesome.

  • @theepicsingingowl it's not really supposed to look much different but it should feel alot different. the first one i didn't jump. the second one i did just before my hands touched the ground.

    and thank you!

  • Okay First Of All I Can Do The Bridge But From The Floor. And When I Do It From Standing Up I Land With My Hands Too Far Away From My Feet And My Spine Is Not Very Flexible. Is There Anything I Can Do To Fix That? I Practice A Lot But I Still Land Far Away From My Feet. I Am Not Afraid To Go Back But I Really Need To Work My Landing With My Hands And When I Try To Do The Front Walkover Or Front Handspring I bend My Arms And I End Up Doing A Roll Over. Please Help Me!! Thank You

  • @BabyAngel7041 work on arm strength!! and stretch too. i know it sounds boring but just doing ten minutes a day even helps. and then after maybe like a week or so come back to it and see if it gets better :)

  • thank you relly helped me alot

  • @lainag123 awesomee!!

  • great video! i have a question, you see i am scared to go backwards. every time i was told not to think about it never worked. i honestly think i was to dependent on my spotter and this is very bad because it really want to be a cheerleader. so i was wondering if you had any idea of how to help me. PLEASE RESPOND!

  • @HorseandanimalLover1 practice like sitting and jumping backwards onto your bed. then maybe try it over the pommel horse and then the trampoline and floor. hope this helps! :)

  • @americancheerqueen thanks for the advice! but i am a little confused. do i just jump back on my bed and land on my back or what? and would it be better for me to get my back bend first?

  • Running!

  • i dint do it but almost thankss

  • this i think really helped know i can do better at my competion ummm.......i was just scraed to do it at the beginning semm easy when you go over this i knew you did'nt need a spotter your inspration if you truley did not have a spotter at all!!!umm............. okay i tlk to much! thnks tumbling queen:D

  • @3374rainbow awesome!! im glad it helped. and yeah i didnt use any spotter to get bhs by myself but then they spotted me later to like fix technique and stuff but not for learning it haha.

  • i have been trying to learn a bhs in the gym since july... i have tried everything: with a spotter, over a pommel horse but i have not learned it yet. when i'm trying with a spotter literally i can't do anything it's like i jump in my bed in a sleep position, when i'm trying over the pommel horse things are better but i haven't managed to do it either way.. i'm desperate. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • @LoveFairy305 work through it one step at a time, like if you can sit and jump backwards properly then think about the next thing, which is get your hands on the ground. then arch your back (coaches will tell you not to do this but it helps when you're learning haha) and after that just think about kicking your legs as hard as you can. hope this helps!

  • @gianna26jb thats awesomeeee!

  • @RedCherryLips247 kick your feet up harder and don't make your back stiff!

  • Comment removed

  • thank u this is the best video ever for doing backhandsprings i meant i lernt it in a week

  • @gymtastic100 thats reaaaaally good!!

  • thank you soooooooooooooooooo much....i can do it no and i really appriciate it

  • @jocksock13 that's great! :) i'm glad i helped

  • OMG!! Thank you sooo much!! I can do it now! Thank u thank u thank u! You made it seem so much simpler

  • @Dorii99 haha no probzzzz :)

  • do you jump up then and go backwards ? Does blocking help??? Every time i go to class i have it then the next day i have to start all over again.. plz help how can my body remember this

  • @123ILOVEMISTY don't jump up. do not do not do nawwwwt. you will fall on your face if you do. jump backwards and backwards only. and yeah blocking can help if youre good at it. i don't block cause it slows down my bhs too much but if it helps you get over than definitely do it!

  • i know i can do this but im too scared... thats the only thing thats stopping me... any advice??

  • @TheSlice606 stack up a bunch of mats! and tell yourself it's just like a bridge kickover but with jumping, that should help!

  • This was really helpful I started going to a new tumble and cheer place, and i already got my BHS in 5 days going there!!! I mean of course THEY spotted me, but you taught me every little detail (:

  • @rileymorgan27 that's awesomeeeee!! 5 days is really good!

  • you have the best bhs..

  • @KVLCheerleaders haha no i dont but thank you <3333

  • this really helps but what if you lost it and now cant do it what should i do

  • @emgirl7210 just start from the beginning of my tutorial and work your way up! if you learned it before it should be easy to relearn!

  • this really helps

  • @patynb123 greeeaaaaat!

  • Hey that was really good you think you do a video on back tucks

  • @SuperDancelover101 running or standing? and i'll try to :)

  • @americancheerqueen it almost worked but thanks

  • I luv ur videos I can already feel myself getting better at my back handspring, but I am scared to death of jumping back. You seem to had gr8 advice so do u had nything on that? (I am closer that I ever have been to my back handspring)! thnx

  • @FrogLover4812 me to

  • @FrogLover4812 maybe bridge back, and then jump when your hands are 5 inches from the ground. after that drive your legs as hard as you can over your head. it will probably be really hard to do. so then next time maybe increase it to a foot off the ground. and so on and so forth, till you feel comfortable jumping back properly.

  • Omg! i really want to try but im so scared of breakking my neck or something! Any tips on what i can do to get a little braver??? i can do a backwalkover but the hop part is the biggest trouble of mine.

  • @TheZeldalover1999 i wouldn't worry about getting hurt if you use a lot of mats and blankets. about the jumping back part, start out by practicing bridging back but jump when your hands are only a few inches from the ground. then when you get more comfortable with that try jumping a little sooner and so on,
