absolutely, positively, love it love it love it. gives off an amazing spring time, early morning feel. youthful, alive, mysterious, wonderful. and even though i've grown to dislike the word.....trippy.
one really, on saucerful of secrets (the second one) he was already having problems, so played in 1 (and a half) track: jugband blues (which he wrote) and some guitar work in 'set the controls for the heart of the sun'.
his spirit and influence never left, even though he did, not only because a lot of songs were about him, but because of the sound, the psychedelia (later changed to progressive), long jams and such.
also to be noted is that he played in one more song in the saucerful album: rick's 'remember a day'.
but, like in his solo carreer with opel, there were enough unreleased songs to fill one more album (which would be nice if they compile and release).
That was the most amazing thing I've ever seen on YouTube. Who did the animation? Awesome song, everyone is entranced by mother, these artsy folk, always looking for more good news...
Great work, man. Barrett would approve of this interpretation, I believe. Hope you're planning to give a similar treatment to some of his solo material in the future if you can find time amidst your other projects.
This is an excellent piece of work here. This is what I try to explain to people who make videos, it must pertain to the song with the imagery in it and have a running theme throughout. This video here evokes that better than almost anything I've seen right down to the lettering of the lyrics. All concepts were fully realized with this, and it was done beautifully. It completely captures what the song is about and the feeling of the Early Floyd.
Beautiful combination of music and animation.

Oh my God...
I fancied a listen to this after 20 years, this genius....
And I see a guy here has taken the time to put together an early 70's children style background, not like the pc crap they show today.
You Sir, deserve a medal.
Thanks a lot.

Yeah that's true, he wasn't really there. But techincally he does appear on two Floyd records, although I agree with you.
It seems a lot of their songs after he left were about him, so you could say he features in nearly all of their music.
