  • They have too much room to fight. What you want to do is fight them in the plastic cups that you get them in. They will tear each other apart then. Trust me, I fight them like this quite often. It is also a lot cheaper.

  • there is a glass wall ur stupid if u cant see it

  • @shearshot and what are you trying to say? You don't make a sense.

  • @shearshot thre is a glass wall in between thats y they wernt really next to each other

  • have that tank :D n i always fight my bettas its fun

  • They don't fight because they don't feel territorial towards eachother.

  • no fight at all they were just softly to each other! yep im sure they are gay

  • @EarthAlien51 Oh brother! ha ha

  • I have had 2 of my mail baetis together as well they do not fight all the time

  • @vcrespo5782 That's cool. Thanks for letting me know.

  • its not that they are fighting-fish they are just super territorial

  • That's just weird that they didn't kill each other. My guess is the blue one had his testicles removed and is no longer agressive lol.

  • @WaxItYourself Oh gosh! You are funny.

  • Blue and red ones r good together. They don't fight believe it or not

  • @Golliepag Is that right? That's cool!

  • Wow! those are beautiful fish! God bless them! I have a female and male together. I called the petstore and it is okay if you keep an eye on them.

  • @awesomelife007 : )

  • i have two male betta that could be their twins! but i never ever keep them, together.... :-|

  • @emlogan427 Glad to hear that you never keep them together.

  • @emlogan427 That's a good idea not to keep them together.

  • Did they ever attack eachother?

  • @Ezaziel No...I kept them in my eyes all the time. I put them together for a few minutes wile I was cleaning the other tank.

  • Ignorant!

  • you're an idiot. you can keep multiple females together, you can also keep multiple females with a male

  • @prebirth91 Unfortunately that's how people make themselves feel smarter by calling other people idiot. It is a sure sign you are the one with the affliction. Read my details under the video, you little fool!

  • @InEyes he has no right to call you a idiot but 80% of the time u can keep multiple females togther iv seen tons of peaople with 2-9 female bettas in a tank it relly dpeneds on the nature and the surroundings i keep my female and male togther thier both same size and thiers lots of hiding places but thier ususaly just buddies no mating or anything

  • @parrot461 Yeah, he doesn't know how to act like an adult. Thank you for sharing the details.

  • @prebirth91 But guess what? Those are both males. So shut your little mouth and get back to lying on your fat ass in bed.

  • @prebirth91 not an idiot actually, Female beta's tend to fight as well, I have experienced it several tims!

  • It's unusaul that they're not fighting. I guess their nature must be peaceful. ^ ^

  • @CookiedNCream Maybe they teach us the lesson ....the world needs to be peaceful.

  • My goal in fish breeding is to make a non-agressive type of betta. All my bettas are socolized, and ar eliving with other fish, some have big tails, and sometimes other bettas. They have never been agrissive, and I am hoping that I can someday have all their offspring nnon agressive. Wish me luck :)

  • @reininghorses57 That would be interesting. Good luck to you, Reininghorses57!

  • @InEyes Thank you :)

  • that is fucked up dont put to betas in the same tank

  • betta may, fight it it is a trait tht they gain, some are actually peaceful

  • i have the same exact tank lol

  • Females will kill males, and male will kill female. Gender has nothing to do with their aggression levels. You can house females together, but precautions have to be taken and even with a twenty gallon well planted and hide ready tank you may have casualties.

  • I have put one betta in a cup in the others tank, and they never flared! i do this once a day for about 2 minoutes, and have never had a conflict :) do you think i should put them together once?

  • @reininghorses57 Nope. Just because you have no flaring doesn't not mean there won't be a fight. I thought my female was ready to breed and I conditioned her with the male (two separate times, and different males) she killed both my males. I walked away for fifteen minutes, thinking "No flaring no darting, they'll be fine." I came back and the first was on the bottom of the tank shredded to bits and dieing, the second one was missing a most of his finnage and half his left gill plate.

  • Bettas cannot be housed together safely. It does not matter if it is one male and one female. Sororities can be kept of 4 or more females, but even then it can go downhill incredibly fast and is only recommended for very experienced betta keepers.

The only time a male and female should be together is for breeding, and that si after being conditioned for weeks and in a heavily planted tank.

  • Betta that can live in the same tank are just cool like that. :3

  • they red one has a bit of his tail.

  • I think thats really cool! I think that they should have non-agressive bettas so I can have a tank full of these BEAUTIFUL fish!

  • @xPancakeHead Oh YES! That would be nice!

  • @xPancakeHead Ever heard of betta imbellis?

  • @ShebaTheLoneWolf Not untill you mentioned so I looked up at google, Wow! Lovely and beautiful fish! Thanks!

  • @InEyes Your welcome :) And with normal bettas you can keep 6 females together in a 10gallon with out any fights :D

  • @xPancakeHead There are non aggressive betta species, but those are not considered as beautiful as the splendens and therefore are not kept as often as the spledens. Imbellis, Akar, Chini, falx, and many other betta species can be housed together and for a few its recommended that they be housed in pairs. Most of these are truer to their wild ancestors and retain their natural camouflage.

  • @xPancakeHead God bless them the Bettas! :)

  • @inEyes cool I'm going to try and get two beta fish in the same tank but it might be quit difficult because my tanks 100 L and has some guppys so they could get confused with each other and fight.

What a mess that would be

  • @legolizardman Be sure to watch closely ...if they are not getting along then take one of them out. Good luck and enjoy your fun exploring experience.

  • @legolizardman hey- its free country you can do whatever like, but- guppies typically arent best betta tankmates because of their tails the bettas can easily live with many species of fish ( i sell dozens of betta tank mate species like rainbows and white clouds and danios etc) but you realy want to avoid elaborately tailed or finned species like most fancy guppies, the tails are too elaborate provokes bettas into fin nipping so i dont recommend it for what its worth be careful

  • @legolizardman It works just as well if you put the tanks next to each other. You don't HAVE to have them in the same tank for them to get mad. Hell, you can even use a mirror. Either way, it's much safer than throwing them into the same tank.

  • @legolizardman Make sure you get a second tank to separate them when they start killing, so you don't loose a fish. If you are silly enough to try this, then be sure that you purchase fish that are calm and not easily riled up. You want listless males that don't flare and are rather boring. If you get males that are flashy and flare easily you will most definitely end up with a dead fish, also be sure to add lots of tall plants, and get a twenty gallon tank. Thats the only way it MIGHT work.

  • @FiestyCat86 Thanks for the advise and suggestion.

  • How u get them to not fight

  • @legolizardman Maybe they would if I am out of sight. I watched closely to make sure that they would not fight.

  • lol the blue one is like gtfo -.-

  • i had the same tank. i would lose the bubbler, the bettas dont need it and it disturbs the water. in my experience anyway. i just didnt like how frickin loud the air pump was

  • @brickfollett It doesn't bother me at all because I am deaf. In the past I did not use the air pump, Betta fish was not active till I turned it on, it gave him more "fresh" oxygen and long life. :)

  • you can trian them so they dont fight

  • @keeppgoin I don't know about that one. :)

  • Haha, I used to have the same fish tank! Then my mom threw it away. D;

  • @MrShiDragon Hope you had fun experience with fish before your mom threw tank away.

  • @InEyes I did, although my first fishes didn't live long. ): But my current fishes in a different tank are living well. Hehehe.

  • Your red fish is SOO red! I love it!(: dont make them fight! There too pretty(:

  • @libbymayyy Thanks. I always like to pick different color. One time I got a white Betta fish. I never let them fight. :)

  • @gradyjas my bettas dont fight.. And they eat all the time.. I love them a tonn!

  • @libbymayyy :)

  • @happy2k1 lucky, my male was horny and my female was like not horny. . . they kinda got aggressive with eachother lol.

  • @SuperLativeAaron Take it to Vet and asks for them to remove testicles so he won't be horny again! lol, just kidding.

  • Comment removed

  • males kill the female

  • @Ineyes i thought they'd live in harmony so i tried it.. didnt work out.

  • @SuperLativeAaron Maybe temperature or different enivornment kiled them.

  • @SuperLativeAaron haha ;)

  • @blown06tc it was a walmart one.

  • If males harass bettas how do they mate I have q male and a female right now

  • @myPs3RuLeZ123 I wonder too

  • Why would you do this?

  • @MrFrankTheTank555 Just watch closely for a few minutes then took it out and put in other tank.

  • not quite...

  • acully a male and a female will fight when breeding you ave to have a few females and one male and the male will kill the ones he dont like and keep on alive for the breeding!

  • @MrJammes95 that is interesting.

  • No, if two females together they will not fight. An assistant at pet smart said if you dont want your betta to fight get a divider or get two females. And she said if you want to mate bettas get one male and three female.

  • Male Bettas shouldn't be kept with other females. The male will harrass the female to death. Females can be kept with other. They are less aggressive then males. Some nipping may occur, but they won't fight unless they are more aggresive then the other females. Some male Bettas are friendly enough to be kept with other fish, like Tetras, but they should be in larger tanks so that the Bettas and other fish have space to swim around.

  • i see one of your betas have a torn tale.. hope he is okay :)

  • cute! but i hope they dont fight much. i think your not supposed to have them together, but if they dont fight... than i guess its okay

  • Comment removed

  • i can friggen see the divider

  • no, they fight no matter what. i put a male and female one in the same tank. and the female one killed the male.

  • @SuperLativeAaron You got one weak ass male.

  • @SuperLativeAaron That's sad.

  • @SuperLativeAaron Depends how agressive your betta is I have 1 male and 2 females Theyre all buddies :D

  • Haha They must be gay or something lol

  • @TheGatorNator1 Your point is immature.

  • Comment removed

  • They are not gay, and the reason why they are not fighting is because they don't have the energy to; These fish - At least one of them has fin rot, and the other one is bloated, they are sick, and look at the size of that thing where they are. Geez, the stupid comments some times.

And yes, Bettas, Male and Female will fight, it is only safe to have only females in a large tank with hiding places, but Male will usually harass females until they kill them- Unless the breeding requirements are met.

  • i thought only 2 males in one tank wold fight

  • @LeKevin01 I thought too. But I prefer not to leave them alone in same room.

  • my betta looks just like the blue one

  • @kingofallsaiyans123 Maybe they are siblings. Blue is a pretty color like a deep blue sky.

  • I can't do that too my fish, I have two very aggressive halfmoon double tailed males and they get really stressed so I just put them in their own little private bowels.

  • @Doomabl3RawRz Good idea to keep them apart so they can enjoy their stress-free enivornment.

  • wish i had a fish tank

  • @xgoxdiexxx It's not expensive to buy one. It's easy to carry it around. Hope you will get one soon so the fish will give you the happiness and peace.

  • i have the same tank fish as u and with a betta inside

  • @Evilshakra12 They are peaceful to watch. Enjoy your little friend :)

  • Im glad to know you supervised:) And actually, Male&male or Male&female are likely to fight, but not female&female. :)

  • @DoggaLova :) I don't let them fight against each other :)

  • well duh those lokk like males so there more agresvive

  • YOu need at leased 5 females and a 10g (minimum) so they can spred out agression amoungst each other.. a male and a female cant be housed together (except in curtain cases) as the male will hurrass the female to breed and if they do he may kill her to defend his eggs (females have also been known to kill males) and males cant be kept together.. Have seen it done but inthose cases it to the death of many fish to finally get a pai that wouldnt fight and they had a huge tank.. so just dont do it!!

  • @MzzSanka Thanks! Good to know!

  • ohh my god, why wont they pick on each others fins?? btw theyre like two gods ,really nice tank too.

  • Your so awesome I have that same tank xD

  • @Beathemighty It's always nice to have that size so I can move it around :)

  • they usually fight over territory. in the wild they don't fight to the death because one will usually give up and swim away.

  • @draward Do you know where they live in the wild?

  • @InEyes Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and China.

  • @InEyes

Rice patties is where they're native, or so I've heard.

  • Two females won't fight each other, n even a male and a female the male will still fight the female if e is not ready for her.

  • @MrBettafishy interesting!

  • @MrBettafishy my male is definetly ready fr my female but when i put them together and whenever he got close to her and showed off his fins she would freak out and dart away :D

  • Hey fo all yoo hatas out there he isn't trying to make them fight he's just making an observation

  • @Geckodood true :)

  • my hero O_O

  • That is weird maybe it just wasn't breeding season

  • mine would probaly destroy another one

  • ? they never fucked 1 another up? that red 1 is flaring up at the blue 1, I bet the peace didnt last long after the vid

  • @whiteboypatrickkelly

They lived for another year after the video. They were happy.

  • how did you do this?

  • The blue one is very pretty! what did you name it?

  • @jacjul1952 SKY :)

  • I have the same tank as you! :D

  • @ProudPinoy4Life cool.... its easy to clean.

  • how?

  • interesting fact

  • this is a comment about the description: no dur

  • you can but about 6 female bettas in the same tank all they will do is nipp not fight shows how much you know about betta's

  • i have two betta fish in my ten galon tank no problem at all and also i have 9 community little fish in the sam tank and no problem too

  • FAIL

  • HEY......i think there not fighting because there from the same..mother...MAYBEEE...or there bi

  • one of them fuking ragee!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have 6 goldfish and now iv seen the betta breed I want one! Would you recommend another tank or will it be ok with the goldfish?

  • @denise4danny The Betta is a tropical fish, goldfish are cold water :S He would end up dying D: . I recommend any tank witch he can swim around freely, and can fit at least one plant and decoration in. =D They really are such great fish, Good luck ;D

  • @denise4danny Betta can get along with most fish if they are same size. Goldfish will be fine with Betta

  • @denise4danny Good to know, thanks for sharing.

  • @denise4danny no they dont go well together

  • @denise4danny no fish should be kept with goldfish . Golfish prefer cold water , bettas are from south-east asia , which is all year summer which means bettas need heated water . plus the slime coat of golfish can be harmful for tropical fish such as bettas. hoped i helped

  • No I wouldn't put a tropical fish with a cold water fish...bettas need heat to thrive, and be at their best, also, as i'm sure you know, gold fish tend to be dirty, therefore they tend to need a stronger filter, bettas really don't do well in strong currents, they get knocked around and its kinda sad to watch them hunched in a corner, when they are much prettier in a loner tank with a gentle filter...also beware of the plants you use, as most that pass for goldfish will shred a bettas tail

  • damn im jealous, i got a ten gallon tank with one male, i wish i could put two but im scare.. lucky you congrats..

  • @954suzuki thanks

  • i have a 50 gallon tank that i have three of my bettas in with my mollys, guppys, pleco, tetras and danios as well as a dwarf frog and they all get a long, i put the bettas in the tank to bring down my snail population and all the fish live together peacefully. The frog is the only one with little patience and that is only because my black female betta loves to stay with him all the time. I even have baby guppies with them and they are all fine, the bettas dont even attempt to eat them.

  • @atworkguy no i'm serious. no homo. sorry.

  • @atworkguy sorry, no homo

  • @atworkguy cry more.

  • FYI no your wrong only 2 male betta fish will fight not female.you see i test it out i put a male and male together in one tank and the two female together in a new tank and placed a camerathere for 5 minutes and after that i watched and the females didnt fight but the male was fighting all along so i put my male in a seperate tank

  • @101hermitcrab i am afraid to put both of my fish together..... Once i had to because i could not find the other tin where i keep them when i am changing the water, and i had to put them together and i just couldn't do it so one of them ended up going in a plastic cup.... (not to be mean.. l luv my fish)

  • i got the same tank u got, and i realized that ur filter is making very less bubbles then mine, did u do something or was it already like that? anyway i removed the filter but if i could find a way to make it like urs then ill probably put it back in the tank.

  • @kevin3180 beta doesnt really need air pump but I prefer to put the a light air bubbles in there to give them better engry and less odor.

  • @kevin3180 I was told that we don't need air pump for beta tank but I rather use it because it gives them the better energy and make the odor go away

  • one female one male

  • @NavySEALsSpectator no there both males hence the long tails

  • Looks like those two are ghey : 0

  • You have very nice bettas (i have the same tank for ONE of mine, its a good buy mine was only 10 bucks! They are very much like potato chips, can't have just one!)

You also seem to know alot about them and take good care of them, but you can house females together. I've done it many times before.

  • @FuzzieBuddies DONT SAY THT I AM HUNGRY NOW!! ill eat mah betta fish jk jk i love cookie who died
