  • I thought mobb deep shook ones was about to start @ 8:41

  • a lot of dudes talk a lot of shit and MOST of you can't play yourselfs.

  • Damn he sucks hahaha Im not hating but he doesn't know how to make music very well just being honest lol.

  • Knows how to use it, but doesn't know how to play it.

  • hey man, thanks for this video

  • sounds sound thin AS FUCK I LIKE FLSTUDIO BETTER

  • This video helped me get started more than any other tutorial on here. Thanks so much

  • thanks for the video... it is very informative...

  • 11:14 minutes of my life wasted

  • I just ordered the Maschine today. Cant wait to get it out of the box and see what i can cook up!

  • He's Blirish......

  • I make part of my beats on Maschine(love it)

  • kinda lol that he's starting the loop on beat 2 :) (always starting with a snare) kinda mess things up

  • Hence he hasn't touched the mouse once.

  • are there schools were you can go to learn how to use these machines and learn how to produce music and work the equipment if anybody knows please message me

  • @TheFlyMELODy

it's called the school of trial and error my man. Find it out for yourself, look up videos, read the instructions. Experimentation is the key. You have to be your own guru sometimes.

Having said that, there are music production courses around the place, depends where you live.

Good luck with your journey, just keep playing and progressing and learning.

  • @TheFlyMELODy Yes, there's one school called Home. All that is required of you, is Practice.

  • @TheFlyMELODy gooooooogle genius!

  • @TheFlyMELODy I doubt any schools will focus on this. But check my channel I go to the Los Angeles recording school. I have video reviews for the school.

  • @TheFlyMELODy Check out dubspot. I think they have online tutorials and schools you can go to.

  • where are the other videos?

  • oh shit it's Devin The Dude

  • nice

  • you pressing a whole bunch of buttons in between explaining the buttons you are pushing, like there is no way to see what the hell you are doing!! But thanks for the efforts.

  • for some reason my PLAY button on the hardware controller and the software doesnt play....dont know ...all the others work....would you knw wat it is ?

  • @daydreamzEnt Yeah, more than likely your in plugin mode in a host like Cubase or Protools, if so, when you hit play in the DAW it will activate play on Maschine. If you open up the standalone, the play button is used.

  • im learning this maschine from your clips here on youtube thank you and keep flowing more talk in useing this maschine THANKS again!!! ill keep watching you to learn from you

  • when i buy the maschine do i have the instruction manual in french?

  • @megamatification

  • Hello Everyone. I'm thinking about buying Maschine 1.5 but im totally new to beat-making. I don't want to start off with something complicated, but this MPC seems very simple... what else do I need to buy to be able to compose ?? I'ld apreciate it if you could type down all I need from A-Z . Thanks.

  • @digmandu11 you just need this and a comp and you are set. a keyboard would be nice too

  • beats are wack...peeps were doing better with the sp12 back in 93

  • The mpc and maschine are totally different. Be creative no matter what you use.

  • @EBL

without the mpc there would be no maschine

  • @defcreator u sound like real fuckin monkey go somwhere ya bitch

  • Can you put more then one sample per pad like the MPC.

  • Hello! *creepy smirk, looks back at screen* Pause... *looks back.*

  • is the maschine routed through that mixer?

  • Just starting out.. what should i get MPC 1000 or MASCHINE???

    PLEASE HELP! CAN'T DECIDE!!

  • @alex927 the mpc i imagine would be more costly.i see the maschine as low as 400 bucks, google it.however to each is own.

  • @alex927 i never worked with an MPC but i got Maschine a month ago and im REALLY happy... If you are just starting out Maschine is also a good overall package with over 18000 Samples... The Instrument-sounds are NOT sooo great BUT the Drums are really good and i heard the Maschine FX are way better then the MPC ones! When you want to work in a DAW with maximum intigration than Maschine is the better choice..... but when you wanna make Beats without a Computer get the MPC!

  • @SouthRecordZ

The MPC 1000/2500/5000 have timestretching and Patch phrase...these are very important features if your sampling from old 70s records that don´t have steady tempos....

Im not sure if Maschine´s OS got that

  • @SouthRecordZ You can make beats with the MPC and computer too...its called Midi...I have a MPC 3000 and I use it with Pro Tools...

  • @PuCCiPuCCe ahh you enlightend me... midi.. woooww - you just dont get the point man, maschine works as vst, does the mpc do that?

  • @SouthRecordZ Nah the MPC doesnt work as a VST, but you can control VST's with the MPC...

  • yeah everybody wants to hate on the Maschine... 5 years later everybody in the industry has one and people hop on it's nuts..... it doesn't matter what you use it's how you use it.... It's a great piece of equipment but I've got to slave it to Ableton untill we can get VST support and time stretch....

  • how much is it?

  • it looks and sounds like a toy

id rather have an mv8800 or mpc4000

  • i have a problem. i recently bought the maschine and whenever i play anything on the maschine, i cant hear anything. i can see that the sounds are registering but i just dont hear anything. (i only hooked it up to my notebook) CAN ANYONE HELP ME!! -_-

  • Comment removed

  • @IIGh0st Get yourself an external sound card and speaker system. a decent one with great sound shouldn't cost you more than £150. For something quite cheap like that I'd recommend Creative Labs, unless you're prepared to go all out. A notebook speaker maybe cant register it properly, never tried to be honest. It would sound like absolute shit anyway

  • love that mixer..

  • will the Maschine sequence all of my VST's & external MIDI Hardware... or is it just a self contained unit?

  • Since update 1.1 it can control external hardware via midi.

  • I want this but without the need to lug your computer around.

  • @aikighost Laptop bruh!

  • then get an akai mpc

  • MPCs dont have the synthesis options. that this does. If an MPC could load vst instruments and effects then Id use one.

  • thas y u get an mpd??

  • try the mpc 5000, its got a pretty decent synth built in

  • agreed !

  • @youngthizz81 the mpc 5000 is almst 2000$ thats like saying , u drive a honda? try a Bentley. lol ..The Maschine can use your own samples> So you can have ANY synth sound and its about 600$ peace the mpc is great though l

  • @mynus303 yea I believe the guy didn't like the mpd and was looking for another option that included a built in synth so I pointed out the 5000....i know its pricey but it also has some dope features that are crucial (IMO) that the maschine doesn't have.

  • oooh arrr so confusing it hurt .... the maschine looks to have many capabilities as a controller / work station but it doesnt seem user friendly .... i think i'll stick to the korg pk as a simple trigger pad tweaker and use a mouse for all other needs . i am tempted by the ni bundle of sounds it comes with tho ....

  • @EEZAL I have it and it's 100% the most user friendly thing out there. It does take about 40min to install it on your computer though. It has an intensive library that needs to be installed. After about 2-3 hours you should be able to run it pretty good. He's just throwing a lot at you at one time so it seems complicated, but it's not.

  • i own one and have been struggling w/it for a few months now lol....it really can do amazing things and maybe a year from now i will be able to do amazing things with it...but it is really confusing to use.

  • @EEZAL This thing is really user friendly once you've had a few hours on the thing. Maschine prides itself on work flow, it's really good for jotting quick ideas down without going into 100s of menus. You could make it complicated but it really is very simple :)

  • love the intro ..dark cold..dangerous... check mine out /watch?v=5ytBRqKqwE4 ...warm holidays ;)

  • Maschine is all I need and all I want to play.

  • Yeah, Maschine and MPC's are not really the same product. I don't know why people compare them so often.

  • i guess from them doing the samething or everyone that has this one now had a mpc before

  • Good call

  • You've really helped me in my decision to purchase this product. Extremely informative, going to check out the other videos.

Like someone else said, I would love to hear what you have really produced instead of this sample stuff.

  • I like Owen's new look!

  • so this can create beats?

  • yep

  • I'm just amazed at how all of a sudden every company wants to copy Akai's 16 drum pad concept when Hip Hop embraced this concept well over 20 years ago.

  • That is a stupid thing say. First Akai is not the first drum machine with this general layout. It is though the industry standard. This device goes beyond Akai's drum machine models in quite a few ways. It would be like saying that all other turntable companies copied Technique because they are the most widely accepted. But plenty of companies make excellent products. such as Stanton on Vestex. Don't talk out your ass about shit you don't know about

  • i believe he is sayin why did it take other companies 20 years to emulate or expand what Akai made familiar.

  • @anthill21 Hard to come up with anything better, im guessing most probably left it well alone knowing that Akai pretty much had that market cornered.

Now Akai isn't so prominent in the studio, it's about time something else took over.

Maschine seems like it's hitting the nail fair n square on the head :D

  • Anthill, exactly at least you get my point. I was just stating an opinion. Bigman890, adults can let other adults express their opinions without the personal attacks and vulgar language. Its obvious you havent matured to that level yet. I know my history and I'm familiar with Roger Linn. I'm just an educated mature adult expressing an opinion that's all.

  • Well you can whine all you want but you are still wrong. Your original comment has a negative 5 rating so I am going to guess that I am not the only person who found your comment foolish and for the record we are not on the playground and I can say I think you are full of shit if i dam well please. Thats because we are adults and adults don't get all bent out of shape when a stranger talks some shit about them on the internet but oh my mistake your the really mature one here.

  • is there anyway i can sample music from my iTunes and use it with machine

  • Yep! Check out KnockSquared's vid - Native Instruments Maschine- mp3 to wav to machine!

  • i just bought a Machine and so far this has been the most helpful tutorial I have seen. I appreciate it. I am curious how to do something though. you loaded the drum kit, you edited a pattern. how do i load another drum kit and use those sounds on my existing pattern that i already recorded with?

  • can you make a good video like this explaining step by step how to record your own vocal samples? another thing that got me stuck is how to sample songs without having a turn table like with mp3 songs I have on my computer...would you know how to do this?

  • if you get a simple mp3 editor, you can snip out whatever segment of the song you want, and if you save it as a .wav file, then you can load that into the Maschine program on the computer

  • That has nothing to do with the Maschine.

  • dude thanks again for another wicked tutorial...

so sick of the idiots on here just trying to get their face on the internet...

guys like you really make me happy, and love music because i know your really in it for the groove... cheers mate 5 stars...

  • i have had this for a while now myself, appreciate the additional pointers.... Awesome piece of kit, sold my mpc5000. there is the proof

  • I have to admit, demoes I have seen online are very 1983. But this tutorial and the previous 3 were the best as in demonstrating Maschine. I haven't purchased yet, but once the box arrives - I'll know what to do because of the GW vids.

    Make a part 5.

  • Everyone Ive seen demo this thing has one problem.....uuh the make these simple ass casio 1983 beats!! You have 5 gig's of samples, but boom tap.... boom boom booom tap is all we get........lame as lame gets!!

  • lol... True. You should purchase one and show us your stuff. I'm dying to hear and see what you can do. "boom boom boom tap" (((d[-_-]b)))

  • thats cool

  • Really nice tutorial !!!
