lol. The Nun was punching the machine at the beginning. (sigh) These days, how often do you SEE Nuns wearing the traditional Habit. Come to think of it, what was a Nun doing at a laundramat? Most orders had automatic machines by the mids 80's. Or, most likely, had novices doing laundry duty. ??
The 70s and 80s music/movies/fashions were the BEST!
What an adorable video!!! Always loved Amy and she is always a great role model whether she is singing Christian music, pop, or any duets she does with hubby, Vince.

I remember all the flack that Amy got when she did Next Time I fall with Peter Cetera. Her christian label dropped her like a bad habit. I never understood that. Her pop music was so innocent and sweet. Not at all anything bad or suggestive. Just good clean fun music.
@bchiles0123 Yeah that was ridiculous. They reacted to her duet with Cetera as if she was Madonna or something. I remember back in the 80's I told my Aunt, who is quite religious, that I was a fan of Amy's & she said "Oh we (her & the church) don't know about her anymore." I was like "What?, You've got to be kidding me." I told her that Amy is about as tame as it gets in the pop music world.
@vodude I totally agree. But only religious people would take insult and call her a jazebell for making music like that. They like their rules and slavery more than Yeshua(jesus) and the Word of God.
@LawrenceLugar1 You are correct. People were more personable. Technology has created a bunch of pissed off, impatient, dependant people, who can't live one day without social networks or cell phones.
@cyprussunizhot At 2:51 you can see that the newspaper the old woman is reading is written in Hungarian. The text in the corner reads "The North American Hungarian Jewish Journal".
I was 15 and i saw a lot of Amy Grant's vieos on VH1 and hearing her on the radio. his song reminds me of Achilles. My friend convinced me to by a carnation for him but I told her not to say it was from me. Ahh high scool days. Achilles wa sone of the nicer guys and he's kinda cute.
@lux72 Nope, that's not Ali Larter. The hot babe in the laundromat is actually a model/dancer named Bridget (something). I just happened to come across her bio somewhere a long time ago while researching 80's videos. But I can't, for the life of me, remember her last name. Anyway, she was in several music videos throughout the late 80's. Some of the others she did were John Mellencamp's - "Pop Singer", Robert Palmer's - "Simply Irrisistable" & one for the group Winger.
reminiscent of cherish by madonna which is a bonus amy is sexy as hell dont think i could buy the christian subscription though sorry amy! love all her non god songs she is a great pop singer she could be really big like celine or mariah!
punedav007, I am so very happy for you....I agree, if we show love, we get love in return, and more....it is how god decides these things...
This song always reminds me of how many beautiful girls there are out there, and how if you show your true self, the best girl in your dreams will always come to meet you
It reminds of my first relationship, which went on for 4 years, and got over. But today, i am so happy, becuase today, the love affair, i have been blessed has more meaning then ever before. Its been on for 2 years, and its FANTABULOUS. Thanks to HOLLY, my love given by the LORD. Its been such a wonderful journey, no fights, no issues, everything peaceful, in spite of disagreeements sometimes. All i would say, HOLLY, EVERY HEART BEAT BEARS YOUR NAME and EVERY HEART BEAT BELONGS TO YOU.
I believe that true love does exist, no matter what situations we are in. I feel, we need to LOOK FOR LOVE and NOT FOR LUST. As long as we look for love, we are safe, and not in trouble, and if you are loving person, the LORD does take care all caring and loving hearts. Yes, of-course there will be people who will hurt us, but even if they do it, we must never forget that a loving heart WILL SUSTAIN no matter what. Love is hard to find, but WE DO FIND, in the end, if we remain loyal to ourselves
Someday when i get married to the would be Mrs David, i am gonna play this song, first thing in the morning. Just to make sure, that when she gets up from bed, we enjoy a moment of happiness, because we are not TWO but ONE, in spite of being Two people. Thanks to you Amy, for such a refreshing song. Now-a-days, the true and pure love, which we ALWAYS strive is hard to get. I am so thankful to the LORD, at least our relationship is quite strong, with not a SINGLE QUARREL. GOD BLESS YOU AMY!
This is a great song and it takes me back to the wonderful memories of the Summer of 1991 which was one of the best summers of my life, 1991 is definitely one of the best years of pop music and one of the last great years of music

This song will always remind me of a crush I had on this guy, I was like 10 yeares old or 11, he was 16... LMAO but he was awesome I saw him at the fair and he made me go on the pirate with him, that made my day, we went on a few more rides together too, This will always remind me of him, even though It was like back in 91 or 92.

Darkcharmcupid, I'm 21 and I agree with everthing you wrote here. I really hope that the music which is popular in the decade that begins in a few months is music that I love.

Anyone heard of Eric Champion? He did a high energy rock version of this song on his 1996 album Transformation.
