@dougsan123 I agree... All I can think of when I listen to their older stuff is about how black and white photography helps the viewer better appreciate the shape and mood of a photograph when all the pretty colors are gone. It's raw, and the pure emotion of it is better experienced.

This is without a doubt my favorite Say Anything song. I really connect with what Max is saying.

He's reflecting on his spiral into drug use, and how it's affected him. It didn't ruin his life or anything, but it left him feeling...disconnected. Not quite himself. Alienated from his personality and his friends.

He feels disgraced ("I have smoked away my pride") with how he went from enjoying that "spark", to ceaslessly chasing after a feeling he knows is gone. This song is really personal.
