Enda Kenny is a typical republican politician afraid to tell the truth about Sinn Féin in case the brits are listening. This country needs serious strong leadership to get it moving again. I for one who love to see Gerry Adams as Taoiseach in fact he is that good of a talker if he wasn't with Sinn Féin and with say Labour he would be already.

The common refrain on the street from people who traditionally supported FG is that they will not support the party as long as Enda Kenny is leader. He is seen as an arrogent, self-righteous narcissistic little man who thinks he knows everything. The Labour Party now have more support then FG and the longer he remains as leader the worse it will get for the party as a whole throughout the country. FG are in trouble and they better fix it quickly.

He could have answered that question better. Big Deal. He's not the first political leader to do so and he admitted his mistake. At least he hasn't bankrupted our country TWICE in 30 years and is a straight and honest man. Which would you prefer? Charismatic personalities who fooled us for 13 years and destroyed our country or an honest, hard working man who was part of one of the best governments in the history of the state? Give me Enda over Ahern or Cowen any day.

he could have said 'Sinn Fein have a poor economic policy" or that they Stood against Lisbon and every other EU treaty, Too many links to republican activity, or That many of the sinn fein - FG policies are very different. For God Sake, no excuses Enda there are plenty of reasons!

Ryan Turbidy is a staunch Fianna Failer. His whole family background is FF.He was badgering and rude. In contrast..he had Brian Cowen on earlier in the series and was very slow and polite in his questioning. Biased, and it showed

@gramach Whats untrue? His two grand fathers were involved in Fianna Fail. Todd andrews was a minister in FF under de velera. His other grandfather was sean turbidy a FF T.D. Todd Andrews was in the Old IRA as opposed to been a sinn fein man which was the political side of the movement for independence. Furthermore, his two first cousins Barry and chris andrews are two serving FF TD's. Are you sure Ryan Turbidy is not a staunch FF man?

Enda Kenny was terrible in this. He could at least have said that Sinn Fein and them don't see eye to eye on the fundamentals and they wouldn't work together in a government due to cohesion problems. At the same time Tubridy is a joke, he sat there and praised Bertie Ahern in the same seat and jumped down Enda Kennys throat here, we all know about Tubridy's connections with FF. I though American media was biased with Fox News, but Tubridy really showed his partisanship here!

Enda didn't answer that question brilliantly but did well in the rest of the interview and showed that he's not all about his own political ambition. Besides, When Enda tried to discuss the economy Tubridy, with plenty of familial connections to Fianna Fáil, said "we'll get to that later". He never did. Who the heck wants to discuss Sinn Féin when Fianna Fáil have bankrupted the country twice in 30 years.

Kenny was excellent throughout this interview. Tubridy was an absolute disgrace. Smarmy, disrespectful and clearly biased. Gave the interviewee no chance to answer his questions on any occasion and when an answer seemed to criticised Fianna Fáil he quickly changed topic. Tubridy is a disaster when it comes to political interviews, the one and only area at which Pat excelled. I'd love to have taken that script of twenty questions in front of him off the table and see how he would have fared...

What ideology would that be? Fianna Fáil are centrists through and through ; Fine Gael lean to the right. Perhaps the property bubble would have burst earlier had we somebody with gall. Due to our PR democracy, we're left with a largely centrist and indecisive coalition majority. That you think (i) the idiotic economic policies of the left are the solution and (ii) economic liberalism is a bane, is insane. Fine Gael would put in some hospital beds and lower your taxes via more prudent policies.
