I have spoken to someone who personaly wrote a virus for mac just to shut macusers up about it. the reason there are no viruses for macs is the same reason there are fewer games... it is a waste of effort to program for a 5% market. I have never had a problem with viruses and I spend half the time sans AVsoftware. the only difference between mac and PC is that steve jobs will not permit you to install his OS on your machine.
Err... for an equivalent Mac, it has to be a mac pro and they can run 3x the cost of a custom built Computer (windows) for just Hardware + OS alone. (basic, lets get it running stuff)
So yes, I could build 2, almost 3 of my computer for the same cost as at single mac pro at the same specs. (Taxes suck)
So, I'd like to know where you get a decent mac for 800$ USD, that can compare to an 800$ USD Custom Built Windows (or Linux for those who like to use it)

Mac don't have viruses because there's no background program like anti-virus and normally, you can't launch .exe on a Mac but .app program's and THAT reduce very much the risk of virus, but there is viruses on Mac but not much.

ummm no. i switched from a pc to my mac and never looked back. Viruses were never the problem on my old pc but instead it was all those small glitches that got in my way to do work. it was a decently specced pc aswell. i had vista on it and im yet to try windows 7 hopefully its good :). Snow leopard is good aswell. Love it

Moreover I have several tutorial DVDs with startup exe files. And Ofcourse I like to play games and do want the freedom of being able to upgrade my PC for as low as possible. As i said in india macs are way more expensive than in the US the cheapest iMac is 1495$, an additional 2 gb ram is for 222$.

Actually if you think of the total cost of ownership, PC costs more, and still is as bad. With a Mac, you get iLife for free, which on a PC you have to separately pay for software that doesn't even match up to the quality Mac has, also PC's need to get upgraded, repaired, backed up, which all leads to more expenses.
with pc's, you not only have to buy the tower, and software, you also have to get a screen, a mouse, a keyboard, and sometimes, external speakers, than you have a cluttered work space with wires everywhere, I used to be a PC, but when I change to mac, everything was better. No company or anything of any importance runs on Macs. Reason being, most companies use software that isn't COMPATIBLE with Macs... And on top of that they are way to expensive, the work output to cost ratio is just fail with one of these things. Name a good game or program that wasn't originally designed for windows or is still available on the market that I can walk down the street to my local electronics store and buy.

it dosent matter about price, the imac comes in (the sreen ,brain,speakers) are all built in, and the wallstreen journal said that a mac is the best pick for a desktop at any price, and mac had the most enviormentily frendlyist notbook ever

Actually if you think of the total cost of ownership, PC costs more, and still is as bad. With a Mac, you get iLife for free, which on a PC you have to separately pay for software that doesn't even match up to the quality Mac has, also PC's need to get upgraded, repaired, backed up, which all leads to more expenses.

with pc's, you not only have to buy the tower, and software, you also have to get a screen, a mouse, a keyboard, and sometimes, external speakers, than you have a cluttered work space with wires everywhere, I used to be a PC, but when I change to mac, everything was better. Macs aren't perfect, but they are closer than PC's

No company or anything of any importance runs on Macs. Reason being, most companies use software that isn't COMPATIBLE with Macs... And on top of that they are way to expensive, the work output to cost ratio is just fail with one of these things. Name a good game or program that wasn't originally designed for windows or is still available on the market that I can walk down the street to my local electronics store and buy.
