It sounds like the mid evening DJ at ZNS1 at first but then another station came in. If you check the FCC database there are probably several stations on 1540 even though it is designated as a clear channel. It's best to get an ID for confirmation.
the only thing on 1540 is CHIN mark as it plays various stuff ie chinees italian and even carribean stuff so the only thing to do is get a id but well done on the kxel.. cheers david

KXEL is actually in Waterloo, Iowa which butts right up against Cedar Falls. Yeah, I know, details.....I'm in Waterloo less than 5 miles from their transmitter :) 73 N4dep
