  • I love you Mrs Shirley..you touches my skin.....

  • I WANT TO MEET HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Precioso ^^

  • Lovely piano too!

  • Fantastic! While my personal preference is the organ, this is the BEST piano arrangement that I have heard to date. If you didn't know it was The Lord's Prayer, you do now! The passion tells it all. Superb! :)

  • What key is this in!?!?!?

  • Brovo...!!!

  • Amazing! Great!!! I Love This Arrangement. It is beautiful!

  • very goooood!!!!! it's very beautiful Mrs Shirley Lee M ... God blesses you!

  • I never fail to enjoy Mrs. Magnuson's version of the Lord's Prayer. So beautifully and vividly played. Praise be to God for giving us the gift of worshipping Him through music!

  • wow! how beautiful the rendetion and version...great...thanks for sharing this...i love it so much...touch my emotion and my heart too...beautifulllllll!!GOD bless the pianist.

  • Even without the lyrics (though I see them in my mind as I listened), this piece was so expressively played that I was moved to tears by the end.

I think about how God uses everything for His glory, from the strings in the piano to the effort and time spent by the worker carefully chambering the instrument to sound the way it does and all the vibrations in the molecules of the air only serve to carry the sound that glorifies His name.

    Thank you for uploading this.

  • so beautiful i love this arrangement:)

  • i love this arrangement, I'm using it to practice this song for my friend's wedding!

  • playes she notes or is this a improvisation?

  • She never uses notes. This is her arrangement, though it is similar to Malotte's. Thank you for asking Dean.

  • Sie verwendet nicht fest. Das ist ihr Klavierauszug, aber es ist ähnlich wie Malotte's. Thank you for asking Dekanatskantor.

  • Such a beautiful arrangement!

  • It's one in the morning... it's very beautiful but it's making sleeeeepppppyyy....

    zzzzZZZZzzzzzZZZZz

  • That was perfectly beautiful. Played from the heart with passion that only comes from the soul that loves God's music. Thank you for sharing your amazing God-given gift with others. May you continue to praise God and give him glory with the power of your beautiful music.

  • How wonderful again to see and hear you, Aunt Shirley, using the wonderful gift of music God has given you! I've always loved playing that piece on the organ, but my own arrangement pales in comparison to yours. Thanks for sharing!

    -Peter

    Lance

  • May she never stop giving our Lord all the glory and praise!

    Greatly encouraged within my heart!

    God Bless!...

  • hermoso arreglo del padre nuestro por la senora Magnuson, que Dios la bendiga y le de mucha vida para que siga arreglando tan bella

  • wow very beautiful

  • beautifully done. love it.

  • Wow this is SO beautifully played. I love that your mom incorporated her own style as a form of worship. I love hearing this song. I have added it to my favorites. Bless Mrs. Magnuson for her God-given talent. It is very touching and inspirational to hear.

  • Here is my Mom's response to those who ask about this arrangement "[This] is my rendition of Malotte's Lords Prayer...Chords are not the very same. It would be like my arrangement, or rendition, or version of any hymn I do....

Mrs. Magnuson arranges songs as an act of worship and sometimes brings segments (or stylistic devices) of classical music into her composiions when they serve the message of the song.

  • Mrs. Magnuson, I have played this song and "Finally Home" all day. I just got a computer that finally works. What a blessing to listen to these songs. I would love to hear more of your music. Let's get together soon. I want to hear all your songs. Lots of love, Joanne

  • Joanne did you hear about how Moms hand was absolutely smashed up, devestated when she fell while skating with Dad back in the late 90's? I never thought she would play piano again, honestly. It looked real bad. She started playing some pieces one handed, lol!

She never had it operated on, as the doctor was not sure she would ever have full use again after his operation. So Dad said lets trust God!

Our bodies are amazing in the ability to reheal themselves. What a GREAT Creator!

  • I did not realize your mom's hand was smashed. God sure does heal. I think I would rather hear your mother play the piano than anyone I know. She needs to record more and more. God Bless.

  • Any interest in her 1960 canata?... I think we will be working on it weekend after next in New Bern! We want to publish it and distribute it. Any thoughts or video we could get of your memories would be outstanding!.... R

  • I would love to hear her 1960 canata. I don't remember it exactly, but if I heard it, it might bring back memories. I was 15 years old and just found out my mother was very ill. But, I would love to hear this canata.

  • That piece was beautifully executed. I noticed the comment where you said that was an original arrangement, but I beg to differ. That arrangement sounds strikingly similar to Albert Hay Malotte's arrangement of the "lords prayer". It was copyrighted years ago. It is beautiful nonetheless.

  • Right, sorry for the mistake. Malotte's is pretty much the same. I'd asked Mom generally about the 15 songs we recorded.

Mom plays this song having never seen any music. Sure she affirmed it is Malotte's originally (my mistake sorry) but even then shes made some changes she thinks.

When very young, her very first song was a difficult classical piece the neighbor next door played. Mom still plays it like she learned it. No music, through the window, & beautifully - composer unknown!

  • Very Beautifully done. I wish that I could play the Piano. Maybe someone will teach me someday.

  • Thank you, that absolutely blessed my spirit!! Relay to Mrs Shirley ("from the bright meadow"-my name also) Lee Magnuson that she presented The Lord's Prayer flawlessly and beautifully. I made it one of my Favorites

  • very nice playing. Great chord voicings, its great to hear someone that "mature" play on you tube. Is this Mrs Shirley's own arrangement?

  • Thanks. Yes its an original arrangement. She designs all her own stuff. I actually can't recall her ever using someone elses sheet music as she primarily plays as an act of worship I believe. Thanks again for your kind comments. Mrs. Shirley loves to hear that others are being blessed. We will be putting up more original hymn arrangements soon, Lord-willing. Thanks again.

  • What an inspiration to hear such a lovely lady play so beautifully. Winifred Card, Clinton, SC

  • hi ur grt keep up the gd wrk. i no her she from my chuch hello

  • thank you I wish I could play like that, thank you for sharing......

  • Thanks, I'll let her know - she'll love to hear it. When she played this two years ago those fingers hade been doing this actively for exactly fifty years with almost no downtime! Amazing the way Father has designed us!

  • Excellent performance!
