  • This guy cant be stopped. Always doing stuff.

  • cocking cucumber my favorite part

  • OH WHY WON'T THIS FRIGGING TOMATO BEHAVE!!!

  • @MandoMohan yeh that doesn't add up. Fry never makes much of his sexuality at all and he isn't what would be called 'camp' really. Also there are alot of British comedians that are famous and on the BBC that are in no way gay. Sweeping generalisations never work and Trolling is never that funny.

  • @Violetmornings One comment nine months ago and you accuse me of trolling. Obviously you don't know the meaning of the word. Get a life.

  • withheld anger can be very funny

  • He's my hero!

  • cocking cucumber!

  • "What do you want from me, HMM!? HMM!?!?"

  • i love how high pitched he gets for this bit

  • oh, go fill out a form queenastilon

  • Nice!

  • It's funny, Stephen is usually so calm, so retaining-of-his-composure, as cool as a cocking cucumber, yet here he takes to blind irrational anger as easily as a reader of the Daily Mail.

Of course, this only serves to heighten his impeccable awesomery.

  • Heehee, love it!

And, do you know, I now say "arsing" and "cocking" (especially "arsing") when I'm angry purely because of Stephen?

  • I know, I love Stephen Fry's special brand of swearing. He still does it, in fact. In one of his Podcasts, he talks about how much he hates grammar freaks. His exact words are, "They're too farting busy sneering at a greengrocer's less-than-perfect use of the apostrophe. Well, sod them to Hades."

    He makes me happy.

  • i genuinely feel sorry for stephen especially when he says 'why does it have to be all this.'

    although its just a sketch.

  • I just noticed, at 0:24 Stephen cuts his middle finger, and you can see him looking at his hand a few times from then on. And then when he cuts the cucumber there's a big smear of blood on it. Hard to see in this video though.

And yet he finished the sketch. Props for the commitment.

  • Just was going to point it out. Poor Stephen. : /

    <3

  • Those darn cocking cucumbers.

  • that's how i feel on the inside usually

  • I've been watching WAAAY to much Fry & Laurie (if there's such a thing as too much), I've started to use cock as a swear word... =S

  • Too much Fry and Laurie? Is that even possible?

  • True, it's not possible. Man if they ever did another show, just one, now they're older, I think I might die (happily)

  • I think that'd be very remiss fo you, any TV executive in the slightest bit of the shadow of their right minds would try and keep new episodes being made for as long as possible. You can't hurt yourself laughing if your little heart has been made to stoppy-wop-wop.

  • Haha good call, and I love the fantastiv reference in there too. Well played!

  • *takes a bow* Thank you!

  • lol i am american and i watch so much ABOFAL I might just turn english

  • Oh, careful! That's how it starts!

Next thing you know, you'll be saying "go and eat" instead of "Go eat" and "Lie down" instead of "Lay down." You'll be answering phones, paying bills and opening doors instead of just "getting" them all, and you'll be answering the question "HAVE you any (...)?" with "Yes, I HAVE" instead of that confusing, American "Yes, I do" Then we'll be able to understand you and where's it going to end? Hmm?

Stephen Fry turns another victim (shakes head sadly)

  • Haha! I do use some British slang somethimes just to confuse the hell out of my friends

  • Oh my, I do this constantly. My love for Brits. D:

  • Hahaha! That's brilliant! I talk that way now as well, and i's so funny because I just finished watching the entire series of Jeeves And Wooster and I found myself greeting my friend with a "What ho!" hahaha

  • it's*

  • YES! I do that too! "What ho" instead of hello, and "Toodle-pip" instead of goodbye. And now my friends are doing it too. I'm slowly but steadily getting all of them addicted to British comedy.

  • thats because us brits are imense, and what better way to greet someone than saying what ho?

  • "an honest and decent salad !!!! ... why does it have to be like this T_T "

    =DDD

  • Damn & blast this cocking cucumber!

  • OH WHY WON'T THIS FRIGGING TOMATOR BEHAVE?!?!

    XD XD XD XD Genius!

  • That's the first time I've ever heard the word "cocking" being used! Genius! I love Stephen Fry, he could take anything and make it hilarious.

  • Good tip Stephen! I will try this some time when I'm making my salad, perhaps can work like some kind of therapy. It's only the salad that will suffer... Bless this sketch... even if I'm not christian.

  • He should just make a cheese and tomitoe toastie instead.

  • "a cheese and WHAT??"

    lol brilliant sketch!

    x

  • don't say it again!

  • @rissehx3 Gosh...you are witty :)

  • anyone have a recipe for this cocking cucumber salad?

  • He needs a hug.

  • Yea. he desperately need one.

  • I tried to make a salad like this once but after a bottle of Muscadet (or two) I dropped the whole lot on the floor. What was the point, it seemed a good idea initially

  • "Anyway, I saw a play there. By Shakespeare, as it happens. So I started thinking. Thinking about Shakesp--" LOL!!!!

  • I love Stephen. I really do :)

  • I've noticed Stephen shows a certain dexterity in the kitchen, here and in other sketches/shows/films. I wonder if he really is a good cook? Probably is. God I love him!

  • LMFAO!!! I never knew "Arse" was a verb.

  • SHELBY!

  • i must be so hard for him to talk with his hands properly while making a salad with vegetables that don't behave xD

  • Tomatoes NEVER behave...

  • "Damn and blast - this cocking cucumber!"

    I cried :)

  • How can you not love Stephen? =)))

  • And thats how I make a Salad....with the comments.. .XP

  • I must say, I almost cried in sympathy at this sketch.

  • Oh my God! That's me!!!

  • As long as we stick to directing our violent and abusive actions at inanimate objects, at least we are not smashing in somebody else's head. So go ahead and kill that goddamn lettuce, Steven! I applaud you.

  • love fry and laurie soooo funny!!!

  • without the prodding, arsing thing coming apart in your hands??!!

  • lmfao

  • he is very basil fawlty in this one.

  • yes, there is quite a similarity xD LOL

  • hahahh my god. SF's so funny.

  • Fry reminds me so much of Graham Kerr in this sketch.

    <33

  • Pure Post-Python Gold from Fry and Laurie.

  • that is so good! LOL

  • Stepen Fry yelling at a salad. Doesn't get more British then that.

  • which season of F and L was this from?

  • I'm not sure but because of the backround I would say that it's from season 4. =)

  • COCKING CUCUMBER!! Lmao I jus bou peed myself =]

  • Hahaha WelshGyaloz

I just about peed myself reading your response!

    I totally agree with you!

It's kind of scary to see somebody just like me.

    Good stuff!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • lol

  • I don't often see Stephen spazzing out like that

  • Makes me proud to be British

  • This makes me laugh so much no matter how many times I watch it, it's pure genius

  • cocking cucumber LOL nice alliteration

  • Ahh, I love this sketch!

  • I love this.

  • Fry is the man.

  • I have to say, he's better at chopping cucumbers than I am!

  • sadly, this reminds me of my sister-in-law.

  • Funny how it just reminds me of John Cleese, (from Falty Towers)

  • ha ha it does too!

  • does anyone know why it has to be like this? lol

  • I love Fry. He's my hero.

  • awwww he needs a hug *jumps in the computer and gives him a hug*

  • :D:D it's really funny :) Stephen is great!

much hugs and love to our darling Mr Fry

  • There's something so amusing about angry Brits.

  • Brilliant, and....

Awwwwwwww, "Why does it have to be like this?" Yes, a hug is called for. :) I love that pouty lip at the end.

    Kara

  • sod buggering play! classic

  • Yay!Violence against salad!!I fel proud of british insanity

  • "This cocking cucumber!" I'd forgotten how much I missed hearing expletives like that! Makes me feel proud to be British again!

  • Proud to feel British again? What happened? Did you change nationalities? Or was it some kind dof selective amnesia that made you forget you British or something? In any case...glad you remembered...being British is the best! We may not run things properly anymore but we know humour when we stand on it!

  • I'd say it was the result of me now residing in America and having nothing but bad memories and feelings about Britain, but when I see my favourite Brit comedies I can feel proud. No one does it like us!

  • get some perspective for crisakes..

  • That was so funny! I think i may now love stephen fry as much as hugh laurie...

  • Hehe, we love stephen fry, he is great!! LOL, yeah i agree bout the hug thing, looks like he needs it even if he is only acting!!

    Mel

    x

  • Heehee, i love him! What a weird thing to get angry about!

  • Awwww Mr Fry. He rules :)

  • This is totally how angry *I* get while making salads. LOL

  • only fry, cleese and chapman can pull off this sort of inspired insanity.

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha! Fabulous! I think he deserves a hug too, though really it's the poor salad I feel sorry for! Haha! :)

  • "It was only a sod-buggering play!" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! "Why does it have to BE like this?"

  • hahaha great :D

  • AHHH that HILARIOUS! Oh, I second that hug!

  • Aww, I felt so sorry for him at the end, lol!! You just wanna give him a big hug. And his salad made from love. XD XD

  • HAHA he is so brilliant!

  • LMAO! Makes me want to eat a salad

  • L.O.L

  • It wasn't long after this was broadcast that Stephen Fry had a breakdown & fled for Belgium. I can relate entirely.

  • I must have watched this 50 times already and it still cracks me up!

  • Ah, notice he actually does cut his left middle finger whilst chopping.

  • LOL. No one can curse in precisely the way Stephen Fry does.

  • that is hilarious. just got to love mr fry.
