  • Clark gave him more chances than any man has a right to ask for. Lex kept going behind his back and doing so many horrible things to him. Things that no friends should ever do. We just forget about them.

He put Clark's life in danger so many times on purpose, and Clark has saved his so much more. You can't just blame Clark for not letting Lex walk all over him an try to expose his secret.

I beliv that Clark has been the better friend to everyone. no question about it

  • i agree...that part where lex saves clark...it reminded me of the good old episodes of the great clex friendship...its a shame that they have to be sworn enemies..this is definitely one of my favorite clex episodes and this is my favorite

    CLANA scene. CLANA4EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i absolutely LOVE this episode! Best clex ep; next to descent #smallville

  • i belive that when lex save clark we got to see a part of the old lex. great scene

  • I love it how its like a race, when they are climbing up them steps (ladder), lol but I guess thats just like Clex's relationship, huh?

  • and really sad how this friendship changed!!

    and...CLANA 4EVER!!

  • Lex became totally evil in season 7!!He changed there too, but there was still hoping between Clark and Lex!!

  • Does anybody else have the urge to punch Lana in the face for totally destroying the first bit of friendship we saw from Lex and Clark in what felt like decades??!

  • I did.

  • I knew someone felt my pain, haha :).

  • I love the part where Clark regenerates from the Sun, it's my fave scene.

  • Clark and Lex - Tom and Michael have great chemistry...

I really liked Lex and the way clark brings out the good side of him. Lex turned completly to the villain of the story in season 7, I believe.

At 0:19 and 0:25 Clark is breathing really hard and you can see his chest up and down...that's kind of hot...but hey everything is kind of hot about clark(tom welling)

  • I totally agree with you. They have brilliant chemistry. Also about S7 - toward the end, the Clex just shifts from "unstated canon" to "complete fantasy":(

  • This looks like a good episode! xx

  • Well... I think deep down inside Lex, he is a good guy... He just had the wrong education.

damned his father! And, i think, if clark would not had dismissed him he wouldn't be the Lex Luthor we all know now (The villain).

I'm sure, if Clark had told him his 'secret' from the beginning they would be still friends. (Lex would never try to make experiments with him! NEVER! for that he is too much human)

  • no lex was never a good person deep down he more evil than anything but he does things just to benefit him if you notice

  • I think if Lex never met Clark on that day of the bridge, he would have become as evil as he is now, but he would still have his moments.

  • i think lex should a villain for bruce wayne because of his intelligence and his money

  • Lol, don't get me started on Batman (i'm not a fan)

XD! I mainly like Daredevil, Superman and Mickey Mouse (hehe, he's my hero, squee!)

  • i personally don't really like dc much but im just saying if they can do a smallville they can do a young bruce wayne show called the Gotham knight

  • But Lex didn't have to save Clark in this episode, what would he have benefited in saving Clark's life here? Lex could've just said that he died trying to save him.

  • thats when he had Alexander inside of him plus in the comics lex Luther kills his son to gain more control of the earth.

  • no matter how many times lex saves clark,

he is still and evil man.

i guess hes just making up for all the times clark saved lex.

    rememeber that.

    no one ever does.

  • For those who still think Lex is a good guy, the woman who planted those bombs believed Lex was experimenting on her husband Wes Keenan. She's right, Clark ends having to faceoff against Lex's Prototype (Wes Keenan) as he tries to kill Lois. Lex gives Wes the order to eliminate all witnesses to an earlier assassination of his. Lex believes he's mankind's savior and that saving the world requires great sacrifices that he deems necessary. Don't be foolled Lex is evil.

  • I hate clark so much for thinking always the worst of lex

  • @claudypritz he didn't always think the worst of lex he defended him for years.

  • Great motherly advice Martha Kent, just tell Clark that he can't ever be friends with Lex again and that no matter what Lex is evil. Christ, and Clark has the guts to wonder why Lex becomes his great nemesis?

  • Lex has been evil since at least Season 4. The way he has treated woman had been going on for years before he met Clark. The 33.1 labs were around in Season 4. Who knows what heartless tests Lionel subjected his son to, but look at how Lex treats Lana in Season 6. Lex's journey to villainy was slowed by Clark but not stopped. The only thing Clark can do now is stay away before Lex finally turns on everyone close to him.

  • Stupid Clark for thinking Lex would leave him. Tsk.

  • OMG, the end was just so moving, and so true Hereally did gave up on Lex too soon, ...

  • AYAYAYA THAAAANX DUDE

  • yayness for clex
