  • damn da damn damn damn

  • Umm I could've sworn he said before that he's bisexual...nevertheless, it was a good video :)

  • Okay I know Jason Mraz means well, but I really hate when men and women (especially those in the public eye) have to state "IM STRAIGHT" or "IM NOT GAY". That kind of thing always bothers me. I wish everyone was just secure enough with themselves to not have to feel the need to make their orientation public. I wish that we wouldn't have to put a damn label on someone based on their preferences.

  • @Killbot1776 Overpopulation is a problem so that's not an issue. In the United States, children can be married under the age of 18 with parental permission, and this age varies by state. In Texas, Alabama, South Carolina and Utah, girls can marry at 14; in New Hampshire at 13; in Massachusetts and Kansas, as early as 12, Oops, there goes that argument.

  • @Killbot1776 We are talking about consenting adult. Not children. And you don't become gay. You are born gay. You are straight I get that. You don't understand what it's like. But I a sure you I didn't choose to have my grandmother constantly tell me I am going to hell. I did't choose to be discriminated against. I didn't choose for people like you to treat me like I wasn't human. We have deserve the same rights as you.

  • @nikkijay1115 EQUAL RIGHTS - not just for some, but for everybody!!!!

  • your high :D but i still love ya

  • Great video! =)

  • @AndersonSacco Uh, do you mind keeping your ignorant homophobic remarks to yourself? This is a commercial is to show ACCEPTANCE toward your LGBT friends.

  • I love him so much. XD

  • Very well said. open, sincere and honest.

  • Ok let's get one thing straight, serperation of church and state IS A RIGHT that we possess. Why can't gays marry? Because the bible says it's wrong and that is influencing the government. Not allowing gays to marry, regardless of how you feel about it, is violating ALL of our rights as American citizens. Know your rights. Gays should be allowed to be married. They literally have the right to. Thanks Jason, your the best.

  • Whatever happened to human rights ?,Oh well just let the media keep dividing us with stupid issues like which guy is sticking that guy. Notice that the "stars" in these type of commercials cause that is what it is are the worst performers and are not even A-listers,they do it for free publicity. You are all being played because you cant control your emotions.

  • Jason Mraz says he is straight HA HA HA

PLease dont tell me he has a girlfriend , so did MJ,Ricky Martin,Tom Cruise is married and he is gay.

  • @AndersonSacco Jason has admitted to a relationship with a guy when he was younger...but says it was a one time thing.

  • ahh jason ! :D

  • This is why I love Jason Mraz

  • whats that thing on his head called ? ive always wondered what they're called cause he always seems to have one on .

  • @ZeeDeeVee I think it's called a hat.

  • whats that thing on his head called ? ive always wondered what they're called .

  • he.is.SEXY

  • Some websites wrote that Jason Mraz is bisexual, so I used to think that as well. But on the other hand - ah well.

  • @Plottoberry

he´s getting married to a woman (tristan prettyman), so he probably is not gay ;)

  • @veronique452 Which is why I used a) the past tense and b) bisexual and not gay.

  • @Plottoberry

    ok... sorry :I

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Thank you Jason Mraz... I love you

  • I'm sorry but seeing a guy and another guy kissing is just not right.......

  • Lourke123, if seeing two men kissing each other is "just not right" to you, then look away. Stay home with the blinds closed. It's just sad that you find love so hard to accept.

  • @lourke123 Of course it is not right if it was there would be no population if men slept with only men and women slept with only with women. Anything else is 1984 starting to begin.

  • @AndersonSacco Are you trying to say that in a fully gay world we wouldn't be able to reproduce? Because that kind of doesn't make any sense. There's always artificial insemination and, if totally necessary, they could have straight sex as a means of reproduction. They just wouldn't enjoy it.

  • who payed for u dood, u suck u was my favorite now i give a damn about not giving a shit about you :)) that's what it is jason mraz YOU F>>>ing SUCK! do u want ure son if u will have one (ure under the question on ur owen r u a gay or not) get f....ed in the ass ? would u agree with that ??????????? well if yes i'll be the one who will do it b./t...h (finger)

  • @theinavel7 ...I'm sorry, can I get this translated please?

  • @theinavel7 so ur saying ur gay too?

  • NO! WE HAVE TO PROTECT THE SANCTITY OF BRITNEY SPEARS' SHOTGUN WEDDING!

    Just kidding.

  • SEPARATE is NEVER EQUAL

  • i've never thought about it like that, never thought about the benefits, about them not being able to visit their loved ones in the hospital...the person they love most in the world etc..admittedly ignorant but happily enlightened.

  • I have never understood how a country that is willing to wage wars fighting for freedom is unwilling to offer freedom to all of its own citizins.

I've also never understood why the fear of how legalizing same sex marriage will have any affect on the lives of the people against it? No one is going to suddenly force them to marry each other.

I'm proud to live in a country that allows any adult couple to marry regardless of sex or colour.

  • @MsJennycee yay for canada. I live in us

  • yes it's time to change!!

  • I'm straight but I hope I live long enough to see positive changes to gay rights.

  • @da3coons

How old are you idiot? it is a humanitarian thing to do, to step up and defend someone even if you don't share their thoughts or beliefs.

  • @mohab18 YA U BETTR SHUT UP LIL GURL

  • @da3coons and I'm sure you are too. congrats!

  • Everyone asks for equality but only someone gives others equality.

  • Why can't all straight people be so eloquent and supportive?

  • this should be the most watched video on youtube!!! Let The Sun Shine To Everybody , ! People!

  • I give a damn. Excellent points and thanks for the video :)

  • Jason is one of the sexiest men ever; and the fact that he supports marriage equality makes him even sexier!

  • Okay, from a Christian point of view....Yes, in the Old Testament, it was said that homosexuality is wrong. However, Jesus spoke that all the old laws were to be discarded, and that what truly matters is that we LOVE one another, as He loves us. Do you really believe that a loving God would look down on earth and pick and choose which of His children He loves and which He doesn't based on their sexual preference???

    I know MY God doesn't.

~Don't just hope for change. BE the change!~

  • @bamababy4913 Amen! Remember people God said " judge not least ye be judged." Meaning it is GODS job to judge not ours. He gave us specific instructions. " Do unto others as you would have them do unto to you." Just by these two verses alone you know you should treat all people with the respect you expect in return. On the off chance god is not down w gays, he did say to treat EVERYONE equally and HE will deal with it. Though I truly believe he loves us all equally!

  • @CelinaXkyle

Where does it say "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"? Last I checked the "golden rule" wasn't scripture...

  • @suppjames112 Yes it does! I think it is in Psalms.

Jesus said "To the least of these........you do unto me." That is the EXACT lesson that Jesus was trying to teach.

  • @CelinaXkyle You are brilliant!!!!! Too many people who quote the bible to support their hate forgot about Gods warning. You are right....he was VERY CLEAR. He is the ONLY judge.

When people judge and condemn others, I think that they are creating on the greatest sins there is..................putting yourself on the same footing as God. As an equal to God.

I would hate to have to answer to God for that one!

  • @bamababy4913 Yes thank you! I am so tired of people using God as an excuse to hate and discriminate. Jesus loves us, and wants us to be in healthy loving relationships- all of us.

  • the Bible irritates me so much

  • Thank you Jason for giving a damn! We want to live in a country where we can be proud of our actions. Treating others as a second class citizens is not only unfair, but it is also unconstitutional. Any intelligent person should be able to at least see this!

  • I thought Jason said he was bi?? But anyway, I certainly appreciate his support.

  • I'm okay with gays having all our equal rights, but I'm not going to stop saying "that's gay".

  • @ryuzakiforever ditto

  • @ryuzakiforever

Why not? You should be. It's annoying and degrading, as if there's something wrong with being gay. It gives "gay" a negative meaning.

  • I give a damn! You don't have to have colored skin to be against racism, you don't have to be a woman to support womans rights and you sure as hell don't have to be gay to support gay rights! Nothing makes another human being more deserving of rights than another human, ESPECIALLY if the discrimination is based on how a person is born. Lets update our way of thinking people, we are not in the Middle-Ages anymore!

  • Heck, I've always gave a damn :)

  • Extremely good!! I too, have a few gay friends and we're all God's kids (no matter who your choice of a "God" is)

  • Jesus loves the little children

All the children of the world

Black and yellow, red and white

They're all precious in His sight

Jesus loves the little children of the world

He even love his LGBT children you can to if you believe and God you believe and love. Love is not Discrimination

  • @deshun60THIS IDIOT IS TOTALLY CRAZY. THIS IS THE END OF HIS MUSICAL HISTORY.FUCK YOU JASON BURN IN HELL WITH ALL STR8

  • well, its A nice thing to do. But life is more complicated than the action such as "give a Damn". How many couples are really happy and satisfied with their lives?

  • I am happy you give a damn - I DO TOO!

  • urg how the hell did this become a religious thing...keep your beliefs out of this. If i want to do something and i decide to start praying to god then i feel like im wasting time talking to air when i could be working toward my goal...thats just me though, You wana pray and follow divine laws then do your thing...but dont b a fucking dipshit and start demanding that bullcrap of me. "ask for help from the Almighty""Follow his laws""the devil" man shut your trap and keep that shit to yourself

  • "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

If you're gay, be proud, but struggle and make the struggle your pride. Don't give up. If you fall, ask for help from the Almighty, and start again. If you fall again, try again. If you fall again, try again. God is the Most-Merciful, the Dispenser of Mercy and Grace, The Oft-Forgiving. You only get one life, don't give up, don't forsake His Path, and don't forsake of the Mercy and Grace of Your Lord.

  • equality among equals!

i give a damn as well!

    biggest love to jason mraz

  • im all for recieving the same benefits but i dont think the term mariage should be used for gay couples. the dictionary meaning for marriage is - the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual nd contractual relationshiop recognised by the law. just my opinion though :)

  • @wonessa but that definition only is stated as such as that is what the law currently is. Marriage is technically just the legal and binding (yeah i know, divorce kinda makes it NOT so binding but whatever) union of two people.

  • i'd love to marry you Jason.

  • @Melancholist74 I agree. It's not something someone decides to be or not be, they just ARE. I look at it the same as the fact that I just KNOW what I am attracted to. I didnt PICK these characteristics I like, they just kinda developed.

All in all, Eye color, hair color, build, height, or gender of a partner just IS what it is. You dont DECIDE to like things.

  • @BlueWaterloo no hes straight people he just said so. straight people are involed too ,not just gay people are involed in gay rights. just like back rights not all of them are black, some are white.

  • it did not make any difference to me that i found out my friend was gay, because i give a damn

  • You Rock

  • Hell yeah speak the truth Jason!!

  • @KodaBearRocks

    yeAHHH

    LETS GIVE E A DAMN!!!!

  • @KodaBearRocks yes!

  • @Melancholist74

It's not a modern phenomena to find commonalities between the rest of the animal kingdom and mankind. Ironically we give it the same credence with modern science as craniometry did with my ancestors. Or Montesquie's attempt to understand the various dispositions of man's various races based on climate (i.e. cold climates=brave people, warm climate=lazy people). The best debates with regards to what is "natural" are those that stick within the discourse of human society.

  • Keep spreading the love, Jason. --another straight person who gives a damn

  • Duuude I give a damn and happy about it.

  • @AaronJohnsonsWellFit I am Christian and COMPLETELY agree! I am so sick of my fellow Christians who constantly put other beliefs and lifestyles down because they think they're wrong. I fully believe God created homosexuality, and that he believes those gay people are equal and deserving in his eyes.

  • @crazy4buble I'm totally agree with you! God is love and loves everyone of his creatures, and people should love each other a little more!!

  • @MJFlion

YEAH THAT JUST HOW IT IS...

  • @crazy4buble so refreshing to hear another christian say this. It's people like you that make me think that Christianity may still have a chance. good for you for having your own mind and your moral you hold yourself to.

  • @crazy4buble I totally agree, the God I worship, loves ALL and would never turn his back on them. He created the world, so logic dictates he created homosexuality. PS, no where in the bible does it say Republican or conservative.

  • @thames5

Logic and God don't go hand in hand... how logical is it that the God of the Universe created it all in 6 days and rested on the 7th? Not very logical... You also forget something very basic... Sin. Which comes from Satan. Not God. And though the Bible doesn't tell us to be Democrat or Republican... it does tell us some very important things about how we should live. It's a good read, pick it up sometime.

  • @crazy4buble

the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin... "you shall not lay with a man as one does a woman" God did not create homosexuality, Satan created homosexuality- along with all of the other sin that is in the world. Does this mean that God hates gays? No... "for God so loved the WORLD"... (John 3:16)

Do you think the Bible is wrong?

  • @suppjames112 To be honest, I follow the New Testament, but I really don't know how I feel about the relevance of the Old Testament in today's world. I won't go into it, because I'm sure you run into the argument concerning how many things the Old Testament forbids that are not seen as bad in any way in the modern world. So do I think the Bible is wrong? No. Are parts outdated? Possibly.

  • @suppjames112 The bible is a fiction book!!!

  • @suppjames112 The awesome thing about this part is that the Bible says nothing about gay women, haha.

  • @suppjames112 I sure think it is, parts of it anyway. I highly doubt that you yourself can actually say that you agree with EVERY SINGLE WORD in the bible without claiming that you follow the "right parts" of it.

  • suppjames112 quotes the man-written Bible, which gets erroneously as meaning that homosexuality is "wrong", then asks: "Do you think the Bible is wrong?"

Yes. The Bible is wrong about lots of things, and the silly idea that being gay is a sin (of course it's not) is but one example. Why listen to the error-prone men who wrote an ancient book, when God's creation of homosexuals makes His approval and love for the gay community perfectly clear? God loves the gays, and we who love God should too.

  • @crazy4buble Here's the flipside to that - as a non religious gay man, I have no problem fully respecting and even promoting a christian such as yourself, one who realises that loving your brothers and sisters is one of the most important things to God. You're exactly the kind of person we need, thank you so much! Much love <3

  • @crazy4buble

you see I am for Gay marriage, I mean why not? why should I disallow a couple from their rights to marry each other. If "Christians think gays arent allowed to marry in church", then courts should allow them to marry, so that is fair for both and they can end this already. If they are against marriage in court for gays/lesbians, which has nothing to do with their religion, then they are treating gays as second class citizens and the court should look into it.

  • @crazy4buble Thank You

  • @crazy4buble Leviticus 20-If one lies with a man as lieth with a woman, both have committed an abomination: they must be issued to death in their blood are solely responsible. You're a bad christian, you don't even know your book. But you might be a good person, based on your tolerance of homosexuality.

  • @phillozoph50 I'm going to take this as a slight compliment, though I must say that one book does not define my entire life as a Christian, therefore it isn't fair to say I am a bad Christian. There are many parts of the Bible that are indeed extremely comforting and beautiful, and words that I follow fervently, but I am not a "literalist" who takes every word as fact...there are very few Christians who do so.

  • @crazy4buble So why do you need a Bible, and why do you need to call yourself a Christian? You would know all the good things without it.Like me,for instance.Be good to others just because you want to be,not because of fear from hell.Anyways,I'm getting bored from this kind of debates,I think I have a better things to do:)I realised some people are so scared from unknown and so selfish, they'll never accept the fact that they're not a reason why our universe exists. You take care mate. All the best.

  • @crazy4bubleThumbs UP to YOU

  • i love jason. his music is amazing, who he is, is also amazing, and what he stands for is amazing. :] this man has a beautiful soul. more people should give a damn. :]

  • Equality FTW

  • @Melancholist74 Have you ever seen animals pair off to be gay for their whole life? How come having sex with the same gender gives you a deadly disease like HIV/AIDS? Yes heterosexuals can get stds but they appear because they sleep around and get the fluids of another person of the same sex in them. And don't believe everything the news says. They are trying to just get ratings. How often do you see the news talking about normal people doing things they are suppose to do?

  • Comment removed

  • mm JaSON es gay ??

  • @Melancholist74 ok but if there were less streight peolpe then who would produce the gay people? they need us for with out man/woman relation then human kind would just die off. get it right not one person is better then the other!

  • @ebombtnt right we need both straight and gay people in the world just like black and white. we need to co-exist toghter.

  • @Melancholist74 I think you're right. If the bible is right Jesus would have been a woman :)

  • @Melancholist74 You have completely misunderstood my point.

I don't compare gay marriage to mormon sects. I compare remarks about gay marriage compared to marriages with horses, with remarks about straight marriages compared with among others mormon sects, and the fact that allowing gay marriage won't be the downfall of straight marriage.

I am all for gay marriage.

  • Are you kiddin me???? Do you even know anything about the lds religion? Those so called "secs" are people who don't believe in the religion that want to start their own religion to rationalize their corrupt lives. You have no idea what the hell you are talking about!!!!!

  • Nobody is born gay!!!! It's a freaking mindset/ lifestlye. Yes they deserve respect as humans, but not as "gay" couples. And if you think that Christianity is hipocrisy than you are ignorant!

  • @Melancholist74 I do have a brain and I did use before I wrote. Instead of calling me stuid, why not rebuke me with relevant arguments instead of cheap shots.

I just thought that since RobCardIV COMPAIRS gay marriage with marrying a horse, why not compare straight marriage to the mormon sects that DO marry 15 year old girls etc. Opponents of gay marriage speak of the sanctity of it between a man and a woman, but where is the it??

    That's all I'm asking.

  • I don't give a damn!!!! The constitution defines marrige between a man and a woman. God made Adam and eve not Adam and Steve

  • @kellansommer true so true

  • If I have the right to marry who i love, gays should have the same rights.

This is not about religion, it's about equality.

    I give a damn.

  • I love this man so much!

  • @shode15 "if it was ok that men marry men god would allow it "? Whose god? And for the record, this is about CIVIL marriage. No religion is forced to marry a couple they don't believe deserves marriage. But the government has an equal responsibility to you and me.

  • I GIVE A DAMN!

    Love

    Lucy x

  • @shode15 The Bible was corrupted by man. Do you follow everything in Leviticus? I bet you anything that you've broken at least one of God's commandments. Homosexual love is not 'unhealthy', and 'getting pregnant' isn't the barometer of morality. Check out Leviticus19:27. That haircut you had? Going straight to hell. Also look at 11:8, 20:6, 19:28, 19:19. If you don't follow those laws, why would you follow the one which is so quick to discriminate? Maybe you should learn to "love thy neighbour".

  • Marriage will only allow your gay friends to be screwed even after they leave their lover.

  • whats next.

make it ok for a guy to marry a horse?

  • @RobCardIV It has already happened.

If men are allowed to mary women whats next? For a man to marry 10 women? For a man to mary 15 year old teenagers? For a man who is married to a woman to beat the crap out of her. Stop equating gay marriage with idiotic nonsense and take a realistic look at the institution as it already is.

  • @RobCardIV good job slippery slope fallacy! any more logical fallacies you want to share with us?

  • Here's the fact of the matter, since i see religion brought into this. Religion has (or rather SHOULD have) NO bearing on the laws passed or how people are treated, as not everyone believes the same things.

We are ALL human, and we ALL deserve the same rights to be happy (or unhappy depending on the marriage, lol) how we choose with whoever we choose.

  • @guitarist0418

Let's be honest, none of the major religions of the world accept gay marriage as legit. And none of the Abrahamic monotheistic religions do. Jesus didn't say that it was okay to allow gay marriages, so I don't see how some churches can legitimize it.

That said, for those who believe that God exists and that this is his land, then they have all the reason in the world to want to establish his rules and they couldn't care less what you think. So stop being annoyed or offended.

  • @donAntony87 wouldn't you rather follow YOUR heart (as opposed to being swayed by others' opinions) and want for your child (who could just as well turn out gay) to grow up in a world without unnecessary hatred. a world where everyone has the same opportunities. and please don't argue that people in Darfur not have food and medication disputes my equal-opportunities theory... these are all issues that need to be worked on

  • @delkitten

If my child was gay I wouldn't love him or her any less but I'd let them know that people have struggled with far worse than their own sexual desire or orientation. Sexual identity is only a modern concept as you would have it known. Nobody walked around in the 1700s saying "I'm straight. Are you?" The problem is not religion but a hypersexed society that places so much value on sex and good-looks rather than things you can control, like piety and hard-work.

  • @donAntony87 Well, that's because in the 1700s nobody would answer "Yes" unless it was "Yes, go ahead and burn me as a witch." The question would be moot. No minority has ever "struggled" until society gave them a reason to. And on that last point, I guess the Ugandans want to pass laws to execute homosexuals because of those pesky, oversexed gay pride parades happening there all the time...

  • @thewalkinwounded

Many times people resort to humor in their responses and claim that arguments are "moot" without actually making a point. You made a joke, not a valid claim. The concept of sexual orientation is modern in that, though it existed, it was never expressed as it is today. Weber's Spirit of Capitalism and the Protestant Ethic traces the development of individualization in the West to the point where every aspect of one's life becomes a human rights debate.

  • @thewalkinwounded

That said, you and I both know that you're far more intelligent than to think that Uganda is the paragon of reasonable and rational government. I was born in Kenya, a country where, in one month over a 1,000 civilians were killed because of the outcome of an election that led to tribalism—and that was arguably the most stable country in Sub-Saharan Africa. Furthermore, don't be so foolish to think that international gay-rights movements haven't hit Africa.

  • @donAntony87 I think I agree with you to an extent! A person's sexual orientation should never be an issue to anyone or anything!! It is the society in which we live that has influenced people's some people's minds into believing that it should.

  • @guitarist0418

With all due respect, your ideas concerning modernity and secularism are responses to an overzealous and overwhelmingly powerful Clergy and Church that overstepped its boundaries and abused its authority. As a political scientist, its apparent to me that these "Enlightenment Period" ideals of "universal rights" and "secular values" are peculiar to a Western mind that has revered the works of Voltaire, Marx, Kant, Nietzche et al who saw religion as the subjugation of the populace

  • @guitarist0418

That said, all of those writers were idiots (to a great extent) with regards to religion as their works on the East (or according to them "the Orient") would show their utter lack of reliance on substantial evidence for any of their theories or conclusions. Thus, we in the West have come to idealize a secular world by following the words of a few men (emphasis on "men") in history. So forgive me if I choose to follow the Words of God over those of Men.

  • @donAntony87 correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it a universally accepted fact that the Bible was in fact written by man and not God. bear in mind that i am not questioning the divinity or the existence of God, but only the beliefs expressed in the Bible that could otherwise be translated as the ramblings of hypocritical zealots blinded by their compulsive need to be right and their sick dependency on the farce they call religion...

  • @delkitten

Though I respect the Bible, in that I believe there exists some truth underlying it, I do not believe that what we have in our hands today is purely from God without man's interceding corruption of the text. That said, I'm not a Christian, but rather a Muslim, and there is absolutely no evidence (save the debunked) that my text came from any other than Muhammad, peace be upon him. Whether you think he made it up or not is based on the ignorance that arises from never having heard it.

  • @delkitten Furthermore, delkitten, you just exemplified my statement earlier that all of our notions on religion in the West are based on a deep and ingrained hatred for the Clergy and everything Christian in nature. The West sought to do away with the imperialism of the Church, leading to the production of Protestantism, which, with its many offshoots, led to the denial that there is any truth within Christianity; and as that was the only religion they had—that religion was corrupt.

  • @guitarist0418

You're still my brother if you're gay. But your personal struggle is different from mine. And May God infinitely reward all those who seek to stay on His Path though they struggle with extreme difficulty.

  • @donAntony87 I myself am a Christian, but I believe in total fairness for all. And considering most of this (gay rights) is something that we focus on in our own country (the US) we are SUPPOSED to be SPECIFICALLY set up that the laws of the church have no grounds in the laws of the country. Because we allow free practice of religion, one religion has no grounds to try and make their veiws the law of the land.

  • @guitarist0418 Every religion has the grounds to try and make their views the law of the land. And whosoever is closest to the truth, would surely get aid from the Divine. The difference between your view on Christianity, guitarist0418, (no offence meant), and mine, is that you believe that you can pick and choose whatever you like of the Bible and that God will still protect you, whereas one should attempt to follow God's word perfectly. God doesn't speak so that he isn't heard or obeyed.

One may struggle with sex addiction, drugs, physical debilitation, mental incapacitation, an inability to have sexual arousal, and/or being gay/lesbian. At the end of the day, you are not fit enough to make the decision that your struggle is worse than any others, and yet, people who have the above, have striven to follow the Laws of God because they understand that this life is a test of righteous conduct. Giving up, doesn't mean that God will disappear.

  • Why the hell does the government even care about this i mean i see nothing bad about its like a waste of time don't they know how much more money they could be making if gay marriage was legal everywhere. its all these old ppl in the senate living back in old time of racism and everything they need to learn to grow up for god sacks there like little kids dam.
