I was thinking about getting either a Ford F-150 or a Jeep Unlimited, but then while doing some Google research I came upon this vehicle and now I think I like it more than the other two. It looks like a winner.
I would like to get a 6-cylinder one in all-wheel-drive though ultimately it may be beyond my budget.
The vehicle looks like it's well-made but I'll have to read more reviews for the 2011 model to know for sure. Do any of you folks own this vehicle? If so, how do you like it?
I've driven my father's Terrain AWD, its awesome has great amount of torque for a I4, I would go as for as to say it feels lighter in steering and maneuvering than my Charger R/T.
The Terrain is living proof that American engineering can be superior to anything the foreign car companies can throw at it. You won't find an engine that can produce that kind of performance and still match the impressive fuel economy of the Terrain's I-4. American companies have always had the upper hand in engine technology, it's just that it was applied to U.S. badged cars because gas was relatively inexpensive just 10 years ago. Now that gas is sky high, this expertise is being used.
@naihu ..But the RAV4 and CR-V are SOOOOOO boring! I've driven both within the last 2 years. They don't handle as good as the Terrain/Equinox platform, not enough power (there's your 23/24 mph), they can't absorb bumps without driving your spine up through your damn brain, too much cabin noise, and their seats simply suck. I also like the Terrain/Equinox instrument layout better. And it remains to be seen if Toyota actually knows how to make a fucking gas pedal.
@mitten86 yeah lets all wait another 15-20 years while GM finds away to make SUVs run on alternative fuels. Because after all GM has always been the one to discover alternative ways of doing things. Yeah that's a great way to think about it, lets all just wait until they can make them ok to drive rather than changing for the better. I'm sorry but their are NO, NONE what so ever benefit to SUVs. They aren't safe, reliable, fuel efficient, and they offer no more needed space than a crossover.
These UTILITY vehicles are here to stay? Hmm sounds like a true GM fan. Fact is SUV's are the least safe vehicles one can buy, and they also cause others to be less safe as the are so big that they crumple cars; are twice as hard to stop, have poor gas millage, and poor reliability compared to other cars. It seems to me like you don't like change. Fact is that GM hasn't even built a viable hybrid or other fuel efficient car, and it's been how long since that have taken our money?
Reading your comments is like reading liberal fascism. Just because mitten made a truthful statement about SUVs being here to stay you attribute him to be a fan. Maybe some people care more about facts then fervent ideology as you do. You're also wrong about GM not making a fuel efficient car. What do you call the Volt? Plus, the Terrain has better MPG than many cars.
@mitten86 They are what sell huh? Hm i could swear up and down that the Toyota Camry is the number one selling car in America; and the Corolla is the number one selling car of all time. Like I said; you dont need an SUV; and they sell because they provide them to people. Making cars more fuel efficient is one thing, but you are going to reach a point were SUVs can get no more fuel efficient; and rather than making suvs better we need to make cars better as they are what get the best millage.
@mitten86 It is time to STOP making big SUV's that are affordable. People don't need them. Its one thing to make a few SUV's but when all they have done so far is make SUV's more fuel efficient; the American people are going to continue to stay hooked. We need to END the SUV addiction; and start changing. And if the American people are do fat to fit in a hatch back; then good we need less people on our roads.
It's boggles me how people like you will blame guns and SUVs for all your problems, but it's people that you hate. Unless you want to take away peoples rights to make decisions they will buy what they want.
i think this is a very appealing car and i think it would actually be an ok offroader considering its name is terrain... gmc had to have named it that if it was a decent offroader
just when I though gm couldnt make another crossover. c'mon people how many ugly crossovers do we need. and whats up with gm rebadging everything yeah everyone else does it but when someone does it with two cars they do it with 6 or 7.
great video, if you need any help getting your video/channel exposed i use a site called mytubeviews . com It has helped 5 of my videos get ranked on the first pages.
Why does GM need another Equinox clone in its fleet? Get rid of one! Having both just takes away from their own sales. Sheesh. No wonder they are doing poorly.
It's not a clone if it looks COMPLETELY different?
Ask the same for the Lexus RX/Toyota Highlander, Lexus ES/Toyota Camry, Honda Pilot/Acura MDX, Honda CR-V/Acura RDX, Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger, Dodge Avenger/Chrysler Sebring, Kia Optima/Hyundai Sonata, Hyundai Tuscon/Kia Sportage, Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer, Ford Flex/MKT, or even the VW Rabbit/Audi A3.
i hate crossovers, but these acually look pretty mean

@Lex5576 Lies! RAV4 23 mpg, CR-V 24 mpg, Terrain 26 mpg. GM can't keep up with technology, they survive solely on patriotism.

The funny thing about this car is that it won't go thru any terrain!
AcerOner 2 years ago
but it can...
HakemEX 2 years ago
Who are we kidding now? The worse terrain this can go through is the grass in the park.
AcerOner 2 years ago
Seeing as how this is based on the Saturn VUE- a capable off-roader, the Terrain should do just fine.
