  • That would be really cool. My son and I both are learning and I really hope we can play together. He has more capability with those young fingers! However he doesn't like to practice like I do. You are really talented. Is this what you do for a living?

  • great to hear you guys are playing together!! That is the biggest musical thrill i've had - playing with my son, just an amazing thing as you know! I spend a good amount of time teaching and playing out but my day job is teaching children with disabilities. Talk soon,

  • You & I obviously heard the same tunes on the radio as I graduated from High School in 75. Thanks again for inspiring me to pick up my guitars again. I am loving life again...

  • I graduated in 79 - we are the same vintage! We grew up with the good stuff musically didn't we....thanks for your post it made my day!

    keep rockin,

  • Fabulous lesson. I've had this song stuck in my head for the last 25 years. One thing. On the first chord of the opening riff if you just fret the D,G and B strings and let the A and high E ring you get all kinds of octaves of chord tones. With the Doobies, I can't believe this is a coincidence, even if I don't hear it in the recording. Sounds cool when playing solo though.

  • great to hear from you and your love for the Doobies like myself! Great post and i appreciate you sharing the tip - all the best and keep Rockin!
