I've just been watching an interview with Prof Chris French so it's good to hear the other side of the story. I'm a Porter at the John Radcliffe and I've met Peter Fenwick briefly. Good to see him standing up for his research against the criticism he's faced.
@zezt I too disagree with this methodology. However animals and Humans are biologically very much alike so from a scientific/research point of view it makes sense. That does not mean we can discard morals though...
Sam Parnia and Fenwick - what a team! They're moving ever closer to unravelling the mystery of consciousness and the nde. Dualism can finally be put in the past - materialsm has virtually taken over.
Absolutely great ! People like Sam Parnia are such a neccesary breath take for science especially nowadays.Good luck Mr Parnia your work is very much appreciated !

i HATE it at about 7:00 where he slips in, making out 'we' all feel the same 'that is why we experiment on animals'
This after he implies 'we' are superior to animals. Ie., soul dead feeling-less people who torture animals and call it 'experiment'

@Fangornmmc No it is proven that animal experiments are NOT needed. The very doing of this IS discarding all feelings and morals

@zezt Which is what I said, or at least, meant to say. Here, reread this part: That does NOT mean we can discard morals though.
In other words. The fact that it scientifically makes sense does not mean we should be inmoral and do it. In fact we should not.
