I didn't watch this lakorn when it was on air but I watched it later on dvd. It's a classic version. And I agree with loquster the new version can't measure up. The new version also destroys the theme storyline of the novel, not to mention the performance of the p'ek and n'ek, for such roles saranyu and suwanan are far better. I think remakes should be for the better, not for the worse. Or else they should have produced brand new lakorns.
Have you seen the version with Kob?From the music to acting everything is right.Or you don't like this pra ek you said or you say older lakorns scare you for whatever reason.If you can get over that fear, watch this version it's much better.
@babimel085 when I was young I didn't like this praek but now I think he's very sexy and I love this version, I wish they didn't remake it.Classics should be left alone.

@babimel085 I guess I just can't stand Pancake but it's like this lakorn is so sad and tragic but good I feel sadness in my heart for them to be remaking it because it's destroying a part of the familiarity that I've come to embrace and trying to replace the old with the new except the new is just not as good.I just don't think today's lakorn measures up to classic lakorns.
@loquster ..well it goes by generations right? there are kids who are born in this generation who haven't seen the original classics, so they make new ones for those kids, like me! ;D There are different versions and every can pick which one they like, but I don't think it's necessary to compare them. New is new, old is old. We just stick to what we like, no matter how many versions there are. :)

the new version wasnt a failure. nothing sad and the actors as p'ek/n'ek cant measure up to kob and saranyu. kob did a great job in here.
