@blackhole137 she has multiple personality disorder , 16 to be exact not something to laguh about. She had the most horrible child hood that you ever hear about :/
Sybil talked about "people everywhere" which was not addressed in this movie. This was a quick version of events that may have been straded months apart. Sybil once lived with a famous so called grandmother by the name of Sophie Tucker not that this woman had been presented in the movie. The problem was not just with the green kitchen. The kitchen was a bearable part of the history. The "people", who hung Sybil up in a barn, to torture her, possibly for aborignal heritage was another story
Don't watch any made for TV movies from the 70's and early 80's, Mikedonn and whirlyfan say they are all bad (except for a handful). That includes Duel,Women in Chains, Haunts Of The Rich,Kolchak,Something Evil,Trilogy of Terror,Tribes,You'll Like My Mother.Let's Scare Jessica To Death,The Forbin Project,The Devils Triangle,When Michael Calls..and a shitload I can't name here but will come back to me...Don't watch them ...very bad.. the 1970's, very bad...don't go there..I mean it !
This was one of only a handful of made-for-TV movies that weren't absolutely horrible. All the President's Men, Helter Skelter, Born Innocent, the Burning Bed and maybe two or three other made-for-TV movies in the 70s and early 80s weren't godawful.

The whole fascinating story was exposed as a hoax in the enjoyable 2011 book "Sybil Exposed," by Debbie Nathan.
