The more I use the Callan Method the more I have found I need to integrate it with other teaching.
The students don't practice ASKING questions in freeform which is a big drawback. They also think that it's natural to use both negative and positive in real life which is not the case.
The method is great for building confidence and a structure for learning basic grammar and vocabulary but needs a teacher flexible enough to integrate it with other aspects of the language.
There are some flaws to it, that's true, but it also has a huge success rate and allows the competant teacher a sound platform from which to launch their own methods of teaching.

The Callan Method is extremely flawed. It should never be taught strictly.
