  • Does anyone here know what a Bijan/Bijon/Bijen is? Frankly, I'm clueless.

  • @TheSkateNJ Bijan is referring to a kind of perfume.

  • @juncobath Thank you, I was quite confused ;D

  • this song needs to be longer D:

  • la la la you sang to me...baby don't you cry! put your arms around me child, and lay with me tonight!

    ......

    "thank god"

  • @oneeyedroach Screw 'em!

  • Nothing could beat the 90s man! Best songs best tv shows and movies....everything today has NOOO heart into anything they do! Back then they put there everything into it...now its just SHIT!

  • 2 people didn't give him their love softly

  • @JJDC420 i am so jealous of you, do you have any idea what i have to listen to at school?

  • Only reason I know and love this song. First it was on Angus! That movie rocks! And so does this song!!!!

  • awesome, i had this b side gem a few years ago but lost it!!

  • Quite possibly my favorite Weezer song. It's definitely up there. I can't believe they're playing it live again!

  • SOLO GOODNESS

  • angus!!! =D i wish they woulda played this type of music at my school dances like they did in that movie. unfortunatlyy i wasnt in high school in da 90's. at least i was around to remember bits and pieces of it tho =D

  • I heard a version of this that had an acoustic intro...is that an official weezer addition?

  • @Double0hobo

that was probably "mykal and carli"! -another weezer b-side gem

  • Solo Goodness

  • i LOVE this song its my FAVORITE song of ALL time. it was dedicated to me.....the greatest song ever!!!!!

  • the best power pop song ever recorded.

  • @oneeyedroach fuckin' DITTO, man!

  • Ah memories we will enjoy them

  • Ah, old Weezer. So good it makes me sad they put out anything past Maladroit.

  • @trapperjohn80 I like the Red Album, but I hated Make Believe and didn't care for what I heard off of Raditude.

  • @ItsSomeDeadGuy I think I'm the only true fan to have loved Make Believe. Seriously. I love the Blue Album and Pinkerton, and Maladroit's a close 3rd, but I think MB's decent at least.

  • @irishbug14 Make Believe was, to me, the moment where Weezer went from a truly great and respectable power pop band to a bunch of has-beens who couldn't recapture their old sound.

And yes, Maladroit is awesome, as is the Green Album. The Blue Album and Pinkerton are my favorites as well, though.

Hurley seems to be returning to the style of Pinkerton though, and I like what I've heard from it.

  • @ItsSomeDeadGuy Funny, I've never liked the Green Album. It just seemed like an excuse to tour again, and it's so similar throughout, like the same song over and over for the second half.

Then again, I'm sure eventually I'll grow to like it if I give it a chance. I had to listen to the music of the Beatles unbiased to realize how great it was/is.

  • @irishbug14 I totally agree! I love Weezer, old and new, but I NEVER got into the green album...

  • @pixiedust3505 Now that I've heard demos and live versions, I appreciate the Green Album, but the way it was recorded was TOO perfect. This song is raw and rocking; Green was streamlined hard pop rock that was easy on the ears, but didn't even hint at the song's potentials.

I've listened to Maladroit more lately as well and it's not nearly as great as I remember haha. Sorta suckish, as far as the songwriting and there's some songs that never should have seen the light of day.

  • @irishbug14 Oh no you're not, I love it too! Only really recently gave it an unbiased listen and bar BH I love every song on it, especially This is Such a Pity and Haunt You Everyday. Red and Rad are the lowest ranked albums in my list but I'm sure they'l click at some point. Also this song is the fucking shit, just bought the El Scorcho single because of it.

  • @InMeRaven Rivers said TISAP was his favorite. I love it. And I hated Red at first but now there are 4 or 5 songs on there that are becoming some of my favorites, and same with Rad, so I think their entire catalog has something to love.

  • aw, this was from Angus!!! I love that movie

  • WERD DUDE ANGUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing in so many way...LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • ANGUS!!!! YEAH!!!

  • just watched angus...then listened to this piece of heaven

  • ANGUS! i jam this mofo ....not daily but enough!!

  • Is it just me or does the song sound slow?

  • @elchamber it's you man, sounds right to me.....

  • one of my fav weezer songs. Thank god for Angus!

  • please! somebody tell me how to get some pinkerton b-sides and some songs from the black hole tracks!!!

  • @lickapotato

    google, pirate bay, look EVERYWHERE

  • these lyrics are fantastic and complemented well by the hard rocking.!

  • This song got lots of attention in japan. Go nihon!!!

  • this is the version from the el scorcho single.. the version from angus is a different mix, more soft and poppy. i like that version better, myself...

  • 15 years of rock.

  • O YA! I most definitly remember! It was on Angus at the end when lil Troy punches Rick in the face at the dance!! LOL!!! Great movie and song! LOVE EM BOTH!!!!

  • reminds me of my japan days ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    waaaaaooohoh,

  • this is on the movie ANGUS if anyone remembers

  • I love that movie!

  • yeah, its a gem from the 90s that is very underrated in my opinion!

  • @KLEWLE55 also has the green day song J.A. R.

  • @KLEWLE55

that's how I even knew about this song in the first place tbh.

"wanna spaz out with me on the dance floor?"

    "watch all the dilldoes?"

    "troy, we are those dildoes"

  • @vaccarovj

man, classic! nice job remembering that!

  • OK (rubs head)....BUDS!!!! You broke his nose, um...Wedberg, Troy Wedberg

  • @vaccarovj k! =p

  • @crazy4baseball47

    "you broke his nose, um..."

    "Wedberg, Troy Wedberg"

  • @vaccarovj

    Aka The Sherminator

  • @vaccarovj lol i love that movie. the best inovation of the 90's!

  • this song has everything, great molody, sing along-hook, great solo, diversity phrasing...

  • What's a bijan?

    Really please someone tell me

  • it was a perfume

  • Bijan in Farsi (AKA Persian) means someone special and it's the name of an epic hero from the Shahnameh (the most famous piece of Persian literature).

  • I remember hearing this song for the first time when i went to see weezer in 2001 in dc I wish they would play songs like this live again

  • angusssss<333

  • This is the best version of this song, by far. Crisp, solid, and confident. The Pinkerton years were the best.

  • thank you so much for sharing!!!!!!

  • Love this song. Solo is great, as they always were back in the day. Now we get crap like I'm Your Daddy...

  • :(

what happened to this band? granted i like some stuff they've put out post-pinkerton but still..

  • I'm Your Daddy isn't bad. A lot of people put it down. It's just not their best. The only thing I want from Weezer that's not here right now is solos.

  • Have you even HEARD I'm Your Daddy?

  • erm, yes?

I actually think the song isn't nearly as bad as I first thought, but it's hardly a masterpiece now is it?

  • rivers - come back on lead guitar, show them what you've got - these songs really rock. Its strange but if you play this to an everyday person, they would not believe this is weezer. They need the proper recognition they deserve

  • i meant that "wanda" was on alone I, not "you gave your love".

  • its not on alone 1 ppl....

  • the angus soundtrack was sick.

  • we had just one night but it lingers on and on and on!!! so true great solo

  • I wish i couldn't relate to that line, but I can.

  • Weezer your the greatest band ever

  • Man, he always nailed the solos perfect in the early days.

  • wow, great song..... didn't expect this from weezer....

  • Did the other Weezer song Rivers wrote for "Angus" ever come out??

    It was called "Wanda".

  • it's on "alone: the home recordings of rivers cuomo"

  • nope, this song was produced for the sole reason of the "Angus" Motion Picture Soundtrack.

  • i just heard this song fromthe movie angus lol...great move and great song

  • I think it was on Alone 1...

  • great song, some of their best songs are always ignored

  • @Teej212 thats pretty much every band =p

  • The Angus soundtrack kicked ass!! It's a perfect time capsule of my awkward adolescence. I love this song.

  • this should've been on pinkerton

  • loved this song as a kid. Remember i first heard my sister playing it when i was so little. 23 almost now, feels liek ages ago. got into nofx, pennywise, bad religion when i was a lil kid like 8. Wish these bands all played like they use to

  • Actually, if I could be a geeky Weezer fan, this particular version is from the El Scorcho single, not the Angus soundtrack. The Angus soundtrack version is faster and less polished compared to this version, with a less finished solo and slight tempo changes.

  • Solo goodness indeed.

  • this song is seriously brilliant

  • Bijan?

  • Brand of perfume.

  • Thanks

  • Just bought the Angus soundtrack. Shame the movie won't see the light of DVD day...

  • This is from the infamous Angus soundtrack, young 'uns.

  • This is the perfect example of Weezer prior to the Green album. It's a great song.

  • weezer.. oh my gooood i love these guys they fuckin' rawk *_______*

  • This song is sooo great, gotta LOVE Weezer!!!!!

  • just great

    perfect song

  • This would be fun in Rock band.

  • i love it

  • great song! should have made the cut for an album..

  • It did the Angus Soundtrack. lol

  • This is my favorite weezer song--AWESOME
