Nothing could beat the 90s man! Best songs best tv shows and movies....everything today has NOOO heart into anything they do! Back then they put there everything into it...now its just SHIT!
angus!!! =D i wish they woulda played this type of music at my school dances like they did in that movie. unfortunatlyy i wasnt in high school in da 90's. at least i was around to remember bits and pieces of it tho =D
@ItsSomeDeadGuy I think I'm the only true fan to have loved Make Believe. Seriously. I love the Blue Album and Pinkerton, and Maladroit's a close 3rd, but I think MB's decent at least.
@irishbug14 Make Believe was, to me, the moment where Weezer went from a truly great and respectable power pop band to a bunch of has-beens who couldn't recapture their old sound.
And yes, Maladroit is awesome, as is the Green Album. The Blue Album and Pinkerton are my favorites as well, though.
Hurley seems to be returning to the style of Pinkerton though, and I like what I've heard from it.
@ItsSomeDeadGuy Funny, I've never liked the Green Album. It just seemed like an excuse to tour again, and it's so similar throughout, like the same song over and over for the second half.
Then again, I'm sure eventually I'll grow to like it if I give it a chance. I had to listen to the music of the Beatles unbiased to realize how great it was/is.
@pixiedust3505 Now that I've heard demos and live versions, I appreciate the Green Album, but the way it was recorded was TOO perfect. This song is raw and rocking; Green was streamlined hard pop rock that was easy on the ears, but didn't even hint at the song's potentials.
I've listened to Maladroit more lately as well and it's not nearly as great as I remember haha. Sorta suckish, as far as the songwriting and there's some songs that never should have seen the light of day.
@irishbug14 Oh no you're not, I love it too! Only really recently gave it an unbiased listen and bar BH I love every song on it, especially This is Such a Pity and Haunt You Everyday. Red and Rad are the lowest ranked albums in my list but I'm sure they'l click at some point. Also this song is the fucking shit, just bought the El Scorcho single because of it.
@InMeRaven Rivers said TISAP was his favorite. I love it. And I hated Red at first but now there are 4 or 5 songs on there that are becoming some of my favorites, and same with Rad, so I think their entire catalog has something to love.
this is the version from the el scorcho single.. the version from angus is a different mix, more soft and poppy. i like that version better, myself...
O YA! I most definitly remember! It was on Angus at the end when lil Troy punches Rick in the face at the dance!! LOL!!! Great movie and song! LOVE EM BOTH!!!!
Bijan in Farsi (AKA Persian) means someone special and it's the name of an epic hero from the Shahnameh (the most famous piece of Persian literature).
I'm Your Daddy isn't bad. A lot of people put it down. It's just not their best. The only thing I want from Weezer that's not here right now is solos.
rivers - come back on lead guitar, show them what you've got - these songs really rock. Its strange but if you play this to an everyday person, they would not believe this is weezer. They need the proper recognition they deserve

loved this song as a kid. Remember i first heard my sister playing it when i was so little. 23 almost now, feels liek ages ago. got into nofx, pennywise, bad religion when i was a lil kid like 8. Wish these bands all played like they use to
Actually, if I could be a geeky Weezer fan, this particular version is from the El Scorcho single, not the Angus soundtrack. The Angus soundtrack version is faster and less polished compared to this version, with a less finished solo and slight tempo changes.
Did you get 4 dislikes? Screw Em!!
