@zuvr11 There's two ways to look at it. One: A woman who doesn't have any self-esteem uses her looks and sharp mind to ensnare men, only to leave them trapped in her web of false love. Darren's trying to tell the woman she doesn't need to try so hard and leave them in order to not be hurt. She's perfect already. In this case, "The Muse" would be a nod to the woman (or type of woman) who inspired the song.

@zuvr11 Two: You could look at is as a literal Muse. That would mean Darren's singing of an artist's love/hate relationship with their muse. A Muse draws you in with shiny new ideas and inspiration, but doesn't always stay there long enough to finish the project, leaving you trapped. He's telling the Muse that she (they're usually portrayed/referred to as shes) doesn't need to come up with so many ideas or try so hard because the ideas she comes up with or inspires are beautiful enough for him.
