you can tell William Holden hadn't rehearsed much for this movie... when he went to turn on the light for the first time in his office, he had to look hard for the light switch. If he had rehearsed enough, he would have known instincively where the switch was located. Unless in the story, it's a brand new office, then it's understandable....
Trouser-wearing miscreant Katharine Hepburn's death has ended the fornication that deflowered starlets for decades. Kate'll know not forevermore the pitiably "humptastic" joys associated with the defining perversity of her long life of debauched mummery.
Good, funny movie. ((David Niven: You could have knocked me over with a feather. William Holden: You just said that. David N: this was an entirely different feather.)) You have to catch the one-liners.
not alot young folks know this film and when i say that this is one of my favorite movies many people dont know what im talking about and yeah this was very riskey at the time a woman goign to a mans house the first day they meet lol and the britsh man ha ha who won his money form a poker game lol
This is one of my favorite movies! Superb acting, interesting, captivating, intelligent, witty dialogue, and fantastic storyline. They just don't make movies like this, anymore. Almost the entire movie takes place in one setting. So unlike the films of today, which rely on computer generated graphics, explosions, car chases, crashes, and physical violence...as a replacement for substance. Sadly, Maggie McNamara committed suicide...before the age of 50.
Maybe you could load the whole movie?? That would be wonderful because this excerpt is very high quality. Thanks for posting it! I t does seem a bit of a tease though! lol! ;)
I'd love to watch all of this movie - can't get a copy in UK. Thanks for showing it. I'm a big fan of William Holden and his movies - watch them over and over!!

Maggie McNamara is one of my favorite looking actresses. I don't believe William Holden has ever made a bad movie.
