but thats gonne be used for in next generation of consoles... maybe even this generation.

Well its not. This game is a shooter with no RPG elements except for dialogue options. Not to mention a different reason for the wasteland (a comet hit the Earth).
Looking forward to it as I was never disappointed by any of pure Id games.
