The fish's entire natural living breathing life all built up to be snuffed out in one instance so some gluttonous human can please its taste buds for a few mouthfuls of its dead flesh. Pfft no it aint, have you followed these earthship guys? They spread biodiversity not destroy it, they fundamentally understand the balance required for all life on this planet and live a planetary positive lifestyle enhancing the environment around them. Those fish would never have had a life had they not built that oasis in that desert. The difference between gluttony and balance would have been to kill it then throw it in the bin or torture the animal before the act, they are real humans.

I am a big fan of his ideas, have seen his movies, many wedinars, dpcumentaries, have read a lot...still, there aro some things that bother me...there are things i would probably be missing if i lived in an earthship...not sure it provides all the things i would need, he promotes it quite well, but forgets to mention you have to change you whole lifestyle, if you want to live like this..sad.

I bought a book some time around 97 98. It was called "Earthships",... I just got out of design school and I wanted to change the way i was living but everyone elses too... I wish i could go back to 98' and just pack my car up and go out to Taos. I would have one built by now....People should follow their gut instincts,. It made sense then and even more now.....

Right, well don't get me wrong but you've showcased the house and water catching features on other videos, so I take it as a proof concept (of adding a lake or river to your households water plan) that you bought a tilapia for your son to catch?

Looks a good meal otherwise but you would need years to replenish the stocks the average family could consume in weeks if you are fishing off grid, surely?

The ability to stroll through your house and pick your meal is amazing. Catching your own fish and cleaning while the head is still looking at you sort of makes you respect food more and what the true cost of it all really is.

I hope to incorporate some of these principles into the house I buy in the next few years. I should have my condo mortgage paid off by November and then I'll start saving for a house. I can't have an earthship but maybe I can make a house more earthshippy
