reading though some of the comments here, there are clearly alot of people dealing with frustration within their own lifes. i would say to these people, before (or after!!) you push your anger and frustration onto others around you to try and think about where this anger comes from. go to the root of your problems and in so doing you'll make your life a really happy place. full of love, even! just try it!! - peace - inlakech

The fish's entire natural living breathing life all built up to be snuffed out in one instance so some gluttonous human can please its taste buds for a few mouthfuls of its dead flesh. Instead of the human just making the conscious decision to simply eat a high protein vegetable instead. It's barbarism.
Fish aren't intelligent animals. We get much required nutrients from fish. Don't cry about it.
All, and I mean all, forms of life want to survive. whether it's a fish, a plant, or an amoeba. Destroying that isn't a sin. You might as well cry when you light a fire and kill fungal spores in the air.
@magneziful well fish are intelligent, we just don't see slimy things as being "like us". Still doesn't change the fact AeonBlue07 is a massive hypocritical moron.
@AeonBlue07 im confused did you forget you are a human? I'm just asking because humans have been eating meet since we found the first left overs from another animals kills and sucked the bone marrow out. Or is it you having something so wrong with your mind you think we as humans dont deserve to live? Or is it the opposite you feel we are better than the animals we are, so we dont need to eat meat like lions, bears, and wolves.
Pfft no it aint, have you followed these earthship guys? They spread biodiversity not destroy it, they fundamentally understand the balance required for all life on this planet and live a planetary positive lifestyle enhancing the environment around them. Those fish would never have had a life had they not built that oasis in that desert. The difference between gluttony and balance would have been to kill it then throw it in the bin or torture the animal before the act, they are real humans.
@AeonBlue07 Oh I guess you'd prefer clearing any remaining habitat forest to grow Soy for the worlds population?
Vegans are not "nature lovers", mostly "idiots who wish to feel superior to others", all while ignoring the simple fact that their lifestyle has a greater impact on the earth.
They people know they can survive without killing animals? These animals all have individual lives and the desire to live and breath. Yet here are these barbaric creatures who fuel their own desire to live healthy long lives off the blood and misery of others. "His heads still alive look at that". Joking at how the animals decapitated head is still functioning. Stupid assholes.
@AeonBlue07 How do you feel about bears who eat fish? How do you feel about the poor insects those barbaric fish eat? Maybe you need to revisit Lion King and remember The Circle of Life.
I am a big fan of his ideas, have seen his movies, many wedinars, dpcumentaries, have read a lot...still, there aro some things that bother me...there are things i would probably be missing if i lived in an earthship...not sure it provides all the things i would need, he promotes it quite well, but forgets to mention you have to change you whole lifestyle, if you want to live like this..sad.
You know, we all used to live this way many years ago. The art of such living is lost on many, and if the snow blocks the roads then that is that ... we all starve because no deliveries of food were made. Stay Cosmic ...
I bought a book some time around 97 98. It was called "Earthships",... I just got out of design school and I wanted to change the way i was living but everyone elses too... I wish i could go back to 98' and just pack my car up and go out to Taos. I would have one built by now....People should follow their gut instincts,. It made sense then and even more now.....
Well now thanks to hussein obama and hillary clintons new s-510 bill, you can no longer grow your own food or you can be arrested for it.... way to go liberals, how's your sustainable house now?
Right, well don't get me wrong but you've showcased the house and water catching features on other videos, so I take it as a proof concept (of adding a lake or river to your households water plan) that you bought a tilapia for your son to catch?
Looks a good meal otherwise but you would need years to replenish the stocks the average family could consume in weeks if you are fishing off grid, surely?
OH MY GAWD I was just thinking about how in the world can I have seafood out in the middle of nowhere in an earthship! Viola! that's the answer! I am Sold!

The ability to stroll through your house and pick your meal is amazing. Catching your own fish and cleaning while the head is still looking at you sort of makes you respect food more and what the true cost of it all really is.
I hope to incorporate some of these principles into the house I buy in the next few years. I should have my condo mortgage paid off by November and then I'll start saving for a house. I can't have an earthship but maybe I can make a house more earthshippy
Yeah, cool....but how is the large corporate food retailer going to make their money selling industrialized food to you? And how is Kaiser going to get you hooked on a lifetime supply of pharmaceuticals when you're eating this healthy.
You guys obviously haven't thought this thing all the way through.
That young man may grow up thinking THIS is an appropriate way to live!

Where does the fuel for the stove come from?
oldsoul247 1 month ago
@oldsoul247 From my understanding most Earthships still utilize propane. Although solar ovens are a possibility.

Female Tilapia will average 200 to 300 eggs and up to 2,000 eggs.
Do a google search for "Tilapia Farming" to read about it.
