  • Sorry folks!! That's not a vibraphone, xylophone OR a glockenspiel!

    Xylophones, although wooden, are smaller & higher-pitched than what you see on the vid. They're bright and sharp on the ear.

    Vibes have metal alloy bars that resonate for ages & have a motor/ foot pedal. The sound is jazzy.

    Glocks are bright with high-pitched metal bars.

    What you see is a marimba. It is the largest of the mallets, with a rich, full sound (wooden).
